The Obligatory Election Blog.

Well. Here we are.

I approach this blog with all the eagerness and delight of a man about to shut his dick in a car door. But if I don’t write it, I won’t feel good about myself.

The problem is, I don’t even know where to start. So I guess I’ll do what I always do, and just tell a story….

* * *

About a month ago, I got to hang out with one of my fellow authors. Partway through the conversation he turns to me and says, “You’ll appreciate this. I turned in my manuscript two months late.”

I did...

Valerie San Filippo Thank you so much. This post made me feel better, about everything. About politics. About other human beings. About how every time I try to write I can only think about nuclear war and being punched in the uterus by an orange ogre.

Tomorrow is another day. Let's hope it's a good one.

Glabrezu Another actor/writer/media person is so full of themselves as to actually tell people how to vote.
Another person I held in high esteem turned out to have ego problems.

Grant Fontenot I think it's a bit harsh to take this as Pat telling people how to vote. He is able to use the platform he's built as he pleases and certainly didn't make any claims about being infallible. He simply feels compelled to share his recommendation for president and ask people to go out and vote, just like any other individual is free to do.

Joe Anderson If I were an American, I would vote Clinton and hate myself and my country for putting me in that situation. Preferential voting guys. this entire election is happening because you don't have preferential voting. Clinton would probably still get in but there would be chances for third parties.

And yet, you're still following Pat on goodreads.

Another person who's all talk and no action.

Another closed minded individual that thinks they have to change how they feel about a person because they happen to disagree on a specific topic...the real ruin of our society these days.

John i second this

Guy As much as I don't like when people get political in their (usually apolitical) media broadcasting whether i agree with the person or not - expressing oneself is the entire purpose of a blog. At least it's not in his books. And if you read his post he didn't tell you how to vote, just his experience and opinions.
