Crave the Night

Rate this book
In her steamy vampire romances, acclaimed author Susan Sizemore pits vampires against mortals, destiny against desire....By popular demand, all three novels are now available in this paperback collectible.

I Burn for You

Battling the dark hollows of his soul, vampire Alec Reynard undergoes secret medical treatments that allow him to bear daylight. Living a double life as a bodyguard, he must also battle his powerful attraction to Domini Lancer, a mere mortal -- and, unbelievably, his soul mate. When danger threatens, he kidnaps Domini to protect her but wonders: will she accept the darkness within him -- or is she a vampire slayer who's cleverly infiltrated his clan?

I Thirst for You

Josephine Elliot knows only that the stranger who appeared out of the dark desert night and took her captive is named Marcus Cage and that he's on the run. A vampire, Marcus is overwhelmed by his thirst for Josephine and instantly recognizes her as his soul mate -- but when she unwittingly betrays him, both are thrust into mortal danger. Can their newfound love survive or is their insatiable desire doomed?

I Hunger for You

Mia Luchese, who comes from a long line of vampire hunters, doesn't know that Colin Foxe broke off their blistering affair because he's a vampire. After she's attacked by evil vamps and Colin rescues her, their real identities must be revealed for them to get to the bottom of the attack. But even a generations-old enmity that should rip them apart cannot break the bond that has their souls hungering for an eternity of ecstasy in each other's arms....

Darn it, another series I'm hooked on, LMAO! Susan Sizemore is an awesome writer. Her plots have twists that you didn't see coming (especially in I Hunger for You), her characters are colourful, believable and funny. You can feel the 'sizzle' between heroes and heroines; her descriptions of characters and places create a vivid picture in your head. Each character had their own thought process, and I loved the 'inner' battles. The men were the proper heroes but turned to mush when it came to their women, and the women were fiercely independent, strong and brave ... exactly what I 'crave' (excuse the pun) in a really good book. I can't wait for the next installment of the series: Primal Heat, available on July 25th. Coles says they have 5 in stock... Hmm, wonder if Lorette can sell it to me earlier. I think I'm about to make a quick phone call, LOL!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. That all I can say about this book, it is absolutely amazing and I definitely fully enjoyed it, and I shall be getting the next books in the series as I'm eager for them!

I Burn For You
I didn't know what to expect from this story, and I was blown away with the gripping story line that made me wanting more and more, I fully love the idea of the vampires being good but having ones that were bad too! It made it interesting, and I never ever thought that her Grandmother was linked with this, I was so shocked! 10/10

I Thirst For You
I was sort of expecting it to be a continuation of the previous novel, but how wrong could I have been? This took a total different angle, with different people, I was expecting to see Alec and Domini to atleast appear in this story, but there was no sign of them. However I could not stop reading, it was totally different but similar to the first one that I was so amazed at how much I fell in love with this story. I thought it was clever that Susan Sizemore decided to chose a vampire from the Families instead of another Clan, this way we got to understand The Families and what they were like. 10/10

I Hunger For You
Don't ask me why, but I thought this was the better of the three stories. It allowed us to understand the Tribe vampires but also see how other vampires think of them. Yet again we are introduced to new people, however Alec and Domini from the first book, pops up in this as minor characters, I knew that this was going to happen, and I loved it, as you knew how those 2 people felt. This book had a horrible bit right before the end, and I'm sure I shouted: "NOOOOOOOOO!" out loud, and it was only a few minutes after midnight so I may have woken people up in the house, but I don't care, this book wanted my emotions and that what it did. 10/10

After having read another book in this series, I decided to go back and read the first one. This is a fairly decent story--primarily that of Alec of Clan Reynard and Domini, a human unaware of her vampire ancestry. It has interesting plot twists and a good pace. I didn't feel like everything was tied up at the end of the book, but being part of a series, perhaps those things are addressed in subsequent books.

It took me a few books to really get into this series. A different take on the paranormal genre. My problem is that the heros are all such good guys personally - I like a little bit of a bad guy with potential.

Started to read the latest installment of the series and found out it was #7!!! I hate to start a series so late in the game!!! So I found out the beginning since I was liking it and found a 3-in-1 for the first 3 installments.

Good mythology although it lacks the depth of some of my more engrossing paranormal readings. I enjoyed the stories although it is not something I would reread. They are well thought out with believable characters, good twists of plot but has a bit of a superficial feel.

I really enjoyed having the first three books together. Each was unique in its character plotting, but the stories flowed from one to the other smoothly.
