I absolutely love this series, I adore all main characters and this final instalment could not be better. Conversion series are definitely one of the best adult paranormal series for me! And you just have to love the leading male character. Teren is truly a great man, perfect husband and the best Daddy in the world. Here is picture version of Teren Adams by S. C. Stephens

During this series, I always admired S.C. Stephens's ability to depict love between characters so perfectly. But in this book, she outdid herself. It was so great to read about love between Teren and Emma, about their neverending love for their children, about adoration of whole Adams family towards the twins or the love between Nika and Julian themselves. S.C. Stephens is simply a genius writer. The story she created here seemed so real, everything made perfect sence, everything had its own purpose and I really love Conversion series. I was never bored when reading 'Til Death. Even when nothing overly exciting was happening, author was able to hold my full attention with her incredible style of writing.

The story is set 4 years after Bloodlines, Emma is still partly-human-partly-wampire and eveyrthing seems to be perfect. Nika and Julian are the cutest 3-years olds I have ever read about and mainly because of them is this book my favourite one from the series. In 'Til Death, you will find adorable family moments, heated moments between Emma and Teren, as well as plenty of drama and dangerous moments. So if you enjoy paranormal stories, you should definitely read Conversion series!

I'm giving this book 2.5 stars. I usually enjoy S. C. Stephen's novels but damnit I was sure as hell fed up with this book. The book didn't start getting good until CHAPTER 10 for crying out loud. THAT'S 10 FREAKING CHAPTERS OF REPEATING BOOKS 1 & 2. I don't need to be reminded of what happened. If anyone's going to read the THIRD book of the damn series, then I'm pretty sure they've read books 1 & 2. I don't need to know that Teren has super hearing or that ashley is horribly scarred blah blah blah. The book dragged and I had to stop reading it for a few weeks.

A few things I want to comment on:
1) You got to see more of a pissed off Teren (who kinda reminded me of a mini version of Halina) and Emma didn't play the helpless-can't-protect-herself character she normally portrays.
2) I'm extremely glad that the amount of sex described between the two calmed down a lot. I didn't need to know over and over the details when I felt like it didn't matter. We get it, they're some horny ass vampires--no need to constantly put a sex scene in between every other page. To be honest, I only felt like the appropriate time to really go into detail about them having sex was right before Julian got abducted.
3) Julian and Nika are the cutest things in this book, but I felt like Nika's connection to Julian could have been used better for more action.
4) Malcolm's story was weak but I guess... And his demise, surely there could have been a more dramatic way since the "raid" didn't go as planned. And what about the vampires Gabriel lost? No explanation at all? Malcolm was described as weak and barely having enough strength. How'd he kill the other vamps?? doesn't make any sense to me, sorry.
5) the damn word "smacking" "smack" "smacked" ughhhh! Don't get me started.

I could say much more but I'd just be ranting about how much more annoyed I was while reading this. My recommendation, read the first 2, skip the third.

Oh and if you didn't get how incredibly slow this book started, let me break it down this way--If this was a 2 hour movie, 1 hour and 30 minutes of it would be slow, boring, and pointless... Then the last 30 would all of a sudden spark (if any) some interest.

I am kind of sad this is over. Emma, & Teren are still happily married in vampire bliss. Their twins Julian, & Nika are already four and have an amazing bond. Not only can they feel one another's location like the rest of their blood family, but they can also feel the others emotion. Grandpa Gabriel is still looking for Malcolm, the vampire that betrayed him, and also played a hand in Teren's early conversion. Malcolm feels them closing in on him, and becomes desperate. His desperation threatens everyone they know, and love. 'Til Death has a good amount of action, less love/sex, and a closure to the series. I have not yet been disappointed with any of Stephen's books, and can't wait to read more. :)

*****************************************SPOILERS************************************************
Malcolm first sends a letter through Teren, and Emma written in blood. When Gabriel still doesn't back off, an even more desperate Malcolm kidnaps Julian from their home. In exchange for their child, he demands that they kill Gabriel so he can stop running. Teren attempts to fake the death of Gabriel. When that fails he really does stake Gabriel, but a few inches from the heart so that he is able to recover. Malcolm satisfied this time gives the vampires Julian's location. Halina, distraught over Gabriel's demise threatens to end the life of her grandson Teren. Once they have their child Gabriel reveals to everyone, including Malcolm that he is still alive. Halina & Gabriel then proceed to literally tear Malcolm in two. Ashley marries her boyfriend Christian, and decides to stay on in California. Ben & Tracy get married, and also stay behind. The rest of the family, including Emma's mom, Gabriel, the annoying mixed vampire Starla, and her boyfriend Jacen all head to their new life in Utah.

Okay, so I decided to just write a review for all three here.. And, WOW! I loved it so much, I want to start again!!!!

First, I loved how Emma found out, and yet accepted everything about Teren..

Second, I love their families.. The Adams, even Halina.. Haha.. So nice and loving, and funny too.. I'm glad that it's different from all the other "vampire-themed" books nowadays.. :)

How Linda found out at BLOODLINES..Funny.. I thought she was gonna run away.. But a mother's love truly is unconditional. I also love how Ashley found her happy-ending.. At first, I was actually looking forward to when Teren will finally convert her, but I'm glad Christian came along.. :)

Tracey and Hot-Ben.. Ben actually had more parts than Tracey, and I liked how their friendship with Teren and Emma turned out.

The twins.. Super cute!!!! Nika and Julie, I wish there were photos of how they looked like.

I want to write more about the trilogy, but what I want more is more from S.C Stephens! Please!!!! Maybe, about the twins, as teens? Or if Tracey was ever wiped out? Or if Jack turned into a vampire in the end? Or Starla, if she ever stopped chewing and smacking gum.. (lol) .. Or Gabriel, if he found a cure for Starla and the other mixed.. Please please.. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who wants more. :D

5 amazing beautiful stars!! Best vampire series I've ever read! I seem to keep reading the same vampire books with the same plots, and that can get repetitive and boring real quick. It's been a quite a while since the author put out Conversion, and I actually had no idea it was going to be a series. I figured since the end left so many questions it would be, but it didn't say anywhere that it would be. When I saw that Bloodlines was coming out, I was so excited. I went back and read Conversion to get ready for It. I read it the day it came out. All three books are 5 stars. It was well written, and kept me interested. Although at times it was a little repetitive, it didn't bother me to the point where I deducted points. As cliche as most vampire books are, and this one definitely had its moments, it was done in a way where you weren't rolling your eyes. I found the plot to be interesting and different. I absolutely adored Emma and Teren and both of their families. They were funny parts, sad, scary, on the edge of your seat. The author kept me wanting more and thinking of the characters long after I finished the books. Nika and Julian were adorable as well. I love the bond those two share. It's heartwarming to see how much love those two families have for one another. I cannot wait to see what the spinoff series "Conversion- The Next Generation" brings. I'm hoping it has to do with Nika and Julian. I'm excited to see what SC Stephens has in store for those two! I'm sure it'll be just as amazing as this series was. I adore this series. Looking forward more from SC Stephens!

Happy Reading :)

Barely into a few chapters, I quickly became annoyed at how much is repeated. I don't need an intricate description of the ranch...again (when I got one in book 1&2). I don't need descriptions of everyone and their status when I got it already. I'm assuming if you are reading this book, you've read book 1 and book 2. It interrupts the story and it unnecessarily elongates it. And that stupid word: SMACKING., Lord oh mighty that got annoying (kind of reassembled a repeated word in her Thoughtless and Effortless books: chuckled/chucking).

The base of the story was okay. The suspense in The Gone Chapter was quite good, as well as a few. Like mentioned though, this story would have had a stronger impact if it weren't filled with so many buffers and derailments. Because of it, this book was blah for me. Could've ended the series with #2 and it would've been fine.

I really love this series! Why is it only 3 books?? Why does Good Reads refer to Book #4 that I can't find: The Next Generation??

The relationship between Emma and Teren is wonderful and only enhanced by their toddlers. I've come to love this whole group of people and am sad that this is the end.

It was really hard to give any book by S.C.Stephens anything less than a 5 but I have to say that I had a really hard time getting myself to read the entire book. I was so in love with Teren and Emma that I forced myself to see it through and I am glad I did because the last 1/4 of the book was worth it. I give it 2.5 stars.

I just love this author! She has a way of making it seem like you are reading a book from a completely different author or series with each installment. Her writing style is not definitive and her characters are a rowdy, eclectic group. Everyone's personality is defined and I am never confused as to anyone's position within this story.

I definitely skipped some pages and back tracked a few times in reading this novel. It was unavoidable. I couldn't wait to see reactions and discussions. I wasn't sure as to what would happen and for a while I viewed it as a life after the fairy tale. When the angst kicked in, I was definitely kept on my elbows! (lying down to read and all) ;)

Emma definitely kept us entertained with her POV and I honestly didn't need Teren's like I normally wish from a novel. I loved the character developments and the continued depth and dedication within this novel. It was marvelous to see the kids in their cutesy stages and to also have their inputs. The whole time I was jonesing for their book! I can't wait to start after finishing this imperfectly perfect tale.

Even Tracey and 'Hot Ben' had more input and contribution in this story. It was good to see Ben in action as he stepped in his role as Teren's only best friend. This story ended perfectly. It was well documented and executed. I felt at peace. I was satisfied and couldn't have asked for more.

I fell in love even more with Teren and Halina of all people. The different developments in both were astounding. I would have loved if Imogene got her own HEA, but she seemed to have found a kindred spirit in Emma's mom and together with Alanna, they will make quite the trio in upcoming tales of the twins.

It was nice to also get more familiar with the L.A. clan. Starla was enlightening as ever and Jacen lost some of his edge. Who knew? :)

Regardless of his role, I liked Malcolm. He was funny, witty, intelligent and would have made a great addition to this 'nest' of sorts. With each installment, comes another fascinating character in this series and Malcolm was the highlight in this one for me. He was a real villain, but with a twist.

Getting to experience a conversion also added to this superb novel. The details of this series rivals most and kept it's momentum from beginning to end. Even the moments of happily ever after were done to keep you interested. Maybe it's the waiting on the unknown, or the literal sense of comfort that this clan bring, but even the subdued moments got to me. I was always entertained and interested.

If not for the continuous mention of fangs, skin temperature and the numerous dinner dates, this could pass for a normal romance suspense novel.

Once again, there is not much to say about this installment, because it was beautifully done! I have no questions, just anticipation of seeing the twins grown. Even if I wasn't aware of an upcoming book in the series, I would still be completely satisfied and sated. I also love the transition from Emma and Teren's story to Julie and Nick. The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to continue with this group of wonderful vamps! This is paranormal done in modern chic ... nothing is what it seems! :)

S.C. Stephens has proven herself a very passionate and wonderful author. I was not only amazed by the Thoughtless series but also with this trilogy, Conversion. She has not only created a well-founded set of characters but also a dramatic, family-centered kind of story. Moreover, it’s filled with love, passion, understanding and with the right amount of steamy scenes that will leave you drooling especially in this third book, 'Til Death .

 photo bw1_zpse9f5b4a5.jpg

It felt good to finally finish the third installment of the Conversion series. I adore the Adams and Taylor family and maybe along the way, I may have liked Gabriel’s as well. Their roles have been so impacting to the story that you can’t help but be touched from here and there. Although I may have been suspicious to Gabriel’s colleagues and his intentions, in the end, he has still proven himself trustworthy and loving especially to Halina.

 photo siblings_zps4bc2b153.jpg

Emma and Teren Adams has proven themselves as one of the best parents in the world, if not the best. They have gone through a lot in their relationship and it’s good to know that they finally have two adorable children, namely, Julian and Nika. These beautiful kids are not only adorable and beautiful, they also have a special bond wherein they can feel each other’s emotions at the same time – Emma calls them as ’emphaths’. They also brought meaning and joy to both families. However, having kids also entails that there will be more risks in losing them due to some unforeseen events or maybe because of some vampires/hunters that Teren may have angered before. Not to burst your bubble but this is true. A very unfortunate thing has happened that rendered them helpless and hopeful at the same time. I won’t go into details since that would spoil the fun, isn’t it? ;)

Well, this has been a sweet and love-filled time for me reading the series. If you’re looking for a light reading about family-centeredness that involves vampires and all, this might be the one for you. Have fun reading!

PERFECT FIVE STARS.

I read the first 2 books and was satisfied with the ending, so when I found out there's a new one, I thought what else is there to say? so, I started reading and it proved to be highly entertainting, it was nice to visit the characters again and you have to love those kids.

Copied from my Audible.com review entitled: "A wonderful conclusion to Emma & Teren's chapter" and definitely an automatic reread series me.

Overall ★★★★★ | Story ★★★★★ | Performance ★★★★★

Audiobook stats:
UNABRIDGED
Narrated By Piper Goodeve
Series: Conversion, Book 3
Length: 18 hrs and 15 mins
Release Date: 07-08-14

What did you love best about 'Til Death?

Everything! Well, to be more specific I loved the balance between the vampire mythology, romance, sexy times and drama that made up Emma and Teren's new reality post babies.

What other book might you compare 'Til Death to and why?
I'd compare 'Til Death to Twilight because one) Twilight is my top favorite vampire romance series ever, and two) because SC Stephens succeeded as Stephenie Meyer did. Both created a super unique vampire universe and then added in cool realistic touches, humor and delightful sexy times.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Narrator Piper Goodeve nailed it. She added all the right vocal tones to highlight the emotional moods and she gave each character a very distinct vocal personality. She is simply one of the best narrators in the business, and I'd listen to any book narrated by her in the future without hesitation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My initial reaction upon starting 'Til Death was, man, I'd missed this vampire universe! I laughed many times throughout the novel. I was tense when things got crazy, and I was happily relieved when their drama came to a satisfying end. I will definitely read Conversion: The Next Generation if SC Stephens is indeed able to write the spin-off series.

Any additional comments?
I really loved the additional couple pairings in the series: Hot Ben and Tracy, Gabriel and Helena, and 2 other couples whose names I won't identify since that would be too spoilery. I'll be curious to find out more about their HEAs in the spin-off series.

Series overall ★★★★★★
Yup, that's 6 very glowing stars!!!

'Til Death (Conversion, #3, was the third and final installment of S C Stephens wonderful series, Conversion. This book is a little different as now that the twins are born( a boy and a girl), the author spends time showing us what a change in everyone's life children can bring, especially for people who lived long lives, and there is no hope for children. The birth of the twins was a blessing not just to the family but other people in this series as you will see as the story unwinds. It also is the thing that causes inadvertently, inconceivable heartbreak.

While this book had its share of angst and horrifying things that happen, it is the gift of love that sees everyone through. This has been the underlying theme in my opinion through this whole series, how no matter what your circumstances- the power of love can heal you and change everything. This book ends well, but it also leaves a chance for maybe other stories to come out involving other characters in this series. Will hot Ben get his own book!?

To finish, this is what I felt through this book, moments of great joy, but also moments that were so sad, they could break a person's heart. There were moments that Teren and Emma had hard choices to make, but on the other hand great choices they had to make also!

I gave this book a 5***** star rating and recommend that you have kleenex handy while you read it!

Thank you for a wonderful series MS Stephens!

I really liked this book. It was a great ending to the series and it left you feeling complete like that was it, unlike a lot of other books I've read where the last book leaves you thinking "That's it?" . I think one of the things I liked most about this book were the two kids... All through it I was trying o picture two tiny three year olds with tiny little fangs on them and it was just too damn cute. I had my heart in my throat most of the time with the situation with little Julian and really did think that was the end of Gabriel. I think what surprised me at the end of this book was Ashley's decision not to go with the rest of the family. I thought for sure she would and some how try and convince her new love (which I was really happy for her about btw) to go with them all. All in all great story , great ending to a series and DEFINITELY a must read.

I loved the suspense-filled parts and the twists in this book. But...
by this book I found I got fed up with a few things.
First of all , the shoulder-smacking. Emma kept going around shoulder-smacking people in the book (repeatedly),including her husband. It was her answer for almost every tease. While I get it, I don't see myself shoulder-smacking my husband almost every time he teases me. I think it's weird. Who's with me?
Second of all, for vampires, they're just too emotional and for a guy Teren cies a lot.
And last but not least, halfway through the book, Halina wasn't the only one gagging because of the sex scenes. I can't explain why. All I know is that shouldn't be the case, yet it was.
In the end I thought this book was just okay with a few high points.

This was an amzing ending to the series! Once again it had me hooked from start to finish.

There were many twists and turns in the story where once again Teren and Emma are tested in their abilities to keep their family together and safe. Which I have to say Teren Adams is very good at! lol

It is great reading abut the twins now that they are older. They are extremely special due to what they are but are brought up as 'normal' as possible.

There is alot of humour in thius again and some very intense/emotional parts as well. S C Stephens has written an amazing series here and I have loved reading every bit of it!

Can't wait ti read about The Next Generation Vampires! Highly recommend ths series!!

This was a good series and if you consider that all 3 books were FREE you could say it was a great series. The only complaint I have is that Emma is always smacking everybody. A smack on the shoulder here, a smack on the arm there, here a smack, there a smack, everywhere a smack smack. It became very annoying and predictable. And really the overall story was predictable, you pretty much have an idea of how things are going to finish up but it's an enjoyable ride getting there. I have already recommended this book to others.

I'm not actually done with this book but I stopped halfway because I got bored of it. I mean I get that Teren and Emma are seriously in love and against some big bad or something but somehow the whole severity of the situation isn't being portrayed strongly enough. And I admit that I like vanilla and erotica but I'm getting a bit irritated with how perfect a husband and father Teren is. I needed a break from all that sweetness.

They were vampires, while some were bad and twisted, as any human could be, some were good.
I know it’s unfathomable to consider a human marrying a vampire, yet that’s the way Ms. Stephens chose to approach this series. I considered this much like I would at accepting gays, lesbians, trans, and any other type of relationship in the human world. There are lovers and haters no matter what you are. Just insert a race, religion, or a sexual orientation and you can find any number of groups to find cause for why they disprove.
‘Til Death is a continuation of that loving feeling between Teren and Emma. They continue to protect there family at any cost against those that are haters.

Narrator:
Piper Goodeve is incredible with the way she transitions between characters. I don’t know how she manages to keep track of each voice and tone for each character she portrays, but it’s seamless. I’m impressed with her narration skills to voice all of these characters with different sounds, tones, and timbers. Who needs multiple narrators when Piper can voice a variety of characters? Piper has talent.
The sound quality was good with no outside disturbances. The narration was spoken word perfectly. I followed along with my ebook and she read each word as it was written.

Overall:
The recap which begins Til’ Death is a nice way to get caught up to all that had transpired in the two prior books.
While I appreciated the descriptive words used I was not as impressed with the storyline. It seemed unoriginal after having read two prior books. A pattern was formed with each story containing a dangerous threat to the lifestyle of these emotional vampires.

I did enjoy the more human aspect of this story. It was comforting the way Teren and Ella raised the twins in a humanistic fashion. They hardly behaved as vampires.
I did have a few concerns regarding those vampiristic traits. At one point both Teren and Emma openly cried in front of Tracy and Christian unconcerned that they cried tears of blood. Another concern was when Teren and Emma closed there bedroom door at night having not reopened it by morning to find there daughter in bed with them. Not too far back Teren mentioned a need to lock the door for privacy and if that were the case then the daughter wouldn’t have been able to get inside the room. My final issue was with Gabriel. It seemed unlikely that he would keep a poisonous vile in his lab that was capable of harming vampires instead of destroying it. It served no purpose to keep those viles.

‘Til Death didn’t end on a cliffhanger but there were loose ends that allowed for Ms. Stephens to continue the series.

While I really enjoyed this series this one was a little slow for me. I found most of this one was spent retelling the story from the first two books. Stuff I already knew. I didn’t really enjoy Terens ex talk either or the fact Carrie was still around. Small spoiler. I was upset Emma wasn’t the first to bite him or the first to carry his child. I was jealous for her. It was weird how he cared so much about Carrie to the point she needed to be brought in. And his whole ex thing confused me. He said after Carrie he made sure to tell his current gf what he really was and that there was a long list of girls who’s memory needed altering after that. Boy was only 25. How many chicks was he with that there was a long list? Geez. The story did pick up speed at the end though and things go interesting. Overall this book was okay but I really enjoyed the series. Nice ending to Teren and Emma. Looking forward to the twins story next.

INCREDIBLE!!!!

I'm in AWE!!!! I'm so in love with this series! I'm super late in the game but happy because I'm close to book 4! This incredible love story and journey of Teren and Emma is forever ingrained in my heart. Plus I feel like I'm part of the family. I've seen this series compared to Twilight, but please don't! It's night and day yet equally in their own. I highly recommend!
