USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Rita Herron fell in love with books at the ripe age of eight when she read her first Trixie Belden mystery. But she didn’t think real people grew up to be writers, so she became a teacher instead. Now she writes so she doesn’t have to get a real job. With over ninety books to her credit, she’s penned romantic suspense, romantic comedy and YA novels, but she especially likes writing dark romantic suspense and crime fiction set in small southern towns. Loved this book! So much mystery and romance!! Easy to follow and very suspenseful! Was stunned twice by the ending!!!! This author out did herself again!
Not bad, but a bit confusing in the beginning with all the scenes jumping around with no apparent order to it. A little weird and twisted with alot of unbelievable things happening at the end but not a bad read. I do feel the Graveyard Falls series was a better series, but this book was okay.
I read this one after I read Dying to Tell and was really disappointed. I hated the romantic relationship and *very minor spoiler* the guy plays the sax shirtless on his deck overlooking the Louisiana swamps??? It's like that scene was written just for cheesy cover art. The romantic angle starts off bad and just gets more ridiculous. I think she tries to capture the dark, magical, sweaty romance of the deep south but fails.
I haven't read anything by this author before, but it looks like an interesting romantic suspense.
This book was ok. The ending reminded me of Scooby Doo, "Oh, we thought that person died, but they're actually alive." I'm not sure if I will try reading this author again. There were so many cliches and rewriting murders. I have several of her books on Kindle so I might try another one before I give it up.
A busy book to start off with.. We have a woman that has been burned beyond recognition that a plastic surgeon has sworn he can mold into a beautiful woman.. We have a very torchered FBI hero Damon that is called to a crime scene by his younger rookie undercover brother Antwaun that turns out to be a hand of a girl Antwaun had been seeing while undercover and then gets accused of her murder..
Was a very long book, full of twists and turns. Held my interest and kept me guessing what the ending would be. Never completely figured it. Was surprised at the end. Overall I liked the book, but not quite ready to say omg you need to read this one.
really enjoyed this book. so many twists and turns. a family secret, a terrorist, a crazy dr, secret mission from the past, a dirty cop, a reporter, and a women with amnesia all wrapped into one single story
