Stuck with a boss from hell? Trying to escape a bad date? Looking for a way to fix a friendship, or make it through your next family reunion? Believe it or not, the solutions to each of these dilemmas (and many more!) can all be found in this book. You'll also pick up tips on scoring a table for two at the swankiest spots in town, redecorating your place on a shoestring budget, and getting your hands on a super cheap plane fare. You'll even learn how to get out of credit card debt once and for all, how to shake a devastating break-up -- and, of course, how to pee standing up. Packed with loads of advice that every hip chick needs to sail through those sticky situations, How to Pee Standing Up is your must-have guide to life. In fact, we don't know how you've made it this far without it!
A silly romp into a world full of freebies, indulgences, and women who can avoid sitting on nasty public toilet seats, this book is a great palate-cleanser for the more serious reader and a fun read for any girl.
I learned how to be a "hip-chick"... LOL! Actually, maybe the best advice, thus far, is (in detail) "How to Pee Standing Up!" Something all of us women at one time or other wished we could do! Another chapter which I could have used last year is; How to Survive a Bad Job... While a lot of the advice in this book is tongue in cheek - there is actually a lot of good advice too. For instance; #1. Take walks at lunchtime. Exercise helps clear the head and relieves you of any homicidal tendencies you may have developed. The first three ideas are actually resonable and good advice the fourth is funnier; #4. Try to get laid off. That way you can collect unemployment while you job hunt. I'm enjoying reading this book...
This book is so strange...And yes I actually read it! Though I'd only recommend this book if you are a) bored out of your mind b) need something funny c)down right DESPERATE for a book or d)it jumped into your hand as you were passing it on your way to the counter to ring up your other book(s) (story of my life)
This book made me laugh, but didn't give super great advice. Some of it was a bit....how do I say? Raunchy (sp?)? However, if just looking for a fun read then it's a good one-in the bargain area of Barnes & Noble is where I found it. Think I will send it to a friend for a good laugh.
I think the author wanted to portray a glamorous persona, but instead came off as kind of entitled and bratty. Many of the tips are manipulative, and I just wasn't a huge fan.
