Rate this book
The very best of the Guardian 's popular bike blog  The Guardian ’s bike blog is one of the most vibrant and visited sections of the newspaper’s website. Here, the world’s cycling community posts news, views, rants, and raves, as well as top tips on everything from cycling in spectacles to how to confound the bicycle thief. From the sublime (riding by moonlight on a summer solstice) to the ridiculous (a certain celebrity chef finding it amusing to drive cyclists off the road), Cyclebabble is the truest, funniest, and most useful cacophony of voices on cycling there is.

Enjoyable read covering a wide range of cycling topics. I had to be selective as not subject areas were of great interest. Easy to pick up and read a quick "blog" entry when the mood takes you.

Now , I know what you're thinking....."It's not sci-fi , urban fantasy or steampunk.....so what's going on?"

Well , I'm also a born-again cyclist (of 1 week!), & thought this might be a good read. Guess what? It was....

Basically a collection of columns from The Guardian website's cycling blog , written with good humour - & answering a lot of the obvious questions folk like me are scared to ask....!

A good read for the cyclist in your life....

Whilst I did enjoy this, I did not feel that it really held together as a book. As a Blog I already read it (and hence had read some of these posts before - I did scan through to see if any of replies had made it in!) but a blog responds to news and current happenings. The replies build over time and show a dialogue. As a book that element was missing.

Some interesting posts but a little samey.

An easy and enjoyable read, even if it verged into the negative more often than I would normally enjoy. Helped establish me in the ranks of cyclists I never thought I would join; it's a bit addictive!
