Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz is an internationally known authority in the overlapping fields of public health, behavioral science, emerging diseases, and natural healing.

In 1999, Dr. Horowitz was voted "Author of the Year" by the World Natural Health Organization for his first national bestseller, Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola—Nature, Accident or Intentional?

In 2006, he was honored by the World Organization for Natural Medicine as a "World Leading Intellectual." Later that year, he was honored for his global efforts to advance public health and vaccine risk awareness by officials of The Sovereign Order of the Orthodox Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem.

Dr. Horowitz received his doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1977. As a student and faculty member at Tufts, he taught medical and dental histology, graduated with honors, and was awarded a research fellowship in behavioral science at the University of Rochester.

He later earned a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University focused on behavioral science and media persuasion technologies, and a Master of Arts degree in health education/counseling psychology from Beacon College, all before joining the research faculty at Harvard School of Dental Medicine to study psychosocial factors in oral health and disease prevention.

While in Boston, he also taught master’s candidates, “Pain, Fear and Stress Management” for Leslie College’s Institute for the Arts and Human Development.

a thick compelling read. He's done a ton of research to link AIDS as a manmade virus and why it appeared in gay & central African populations simultaneously in the late 1970's. As a molecular biologist that deals with pathogenic microorganisms,I find his claims / theory deserve a cold hard look which the bulk of the AIDS research community has refused to do with any objectivity.

Whether the epidemic is manmade and intentional or unintentional is somewhat beside the point; there's some fairly well documented information that the Nat'l Cancer Institute and WHO and DOD have done a bit of a coverup to mask what the real story AIDS/Ebola / viral caused cancers. If you go to his website /podcast interviews, he comes off as a bit type A, but think this is probably passion for what he believes is the truth.

Scientific evidence and insider documents present a convincing case alleging that the AIDS virus was manufactured as a means of depopulation, specifically targeting Africans and homosexuals. The information was given in layman's terms for those with no PhD in science. Intriguing and scary.

While I have no problem believing that government forces are undeniably doing some spooky and horrifying things behind the backs of the public, it was so hard to take this book seriously. Many of the conclusions he reaches are somewhat far-fetched (going into research with the desire to prove a conspiracy theory doesn't always work. If you're looking for something suspicious, you're apt to find it somewhere). Also, don't know if it was just the edition I was reading, but the ridiculous amount of typos, spelling/grammar errors and altogether lack of proofreading made my eye twitch. Who let this book be published with that amount of errors? Not to mention that, glaring errors notwithstanding, it's terribly written. Two stars because the evidence he gives is somewhat compelling, but it was a nightmare to get through and hard to take seriously.

EDIT: After doing some research on the author, suddenly it all falls into place. He's an avid anti-vaxxer, promoter of "holistic" healing and supporter of some really effin out there conspiracy theories. This book was also apprently self-published (that explains the lack of proofreading.) I should really amend this entire review to just one word: Yikes.

Didn't quite finish it, but I got what I think I can get out of it and it is due back at the library. The most interesting aspect of this book was the source material about the CIA's bacterial/viral/chemical weapons programs. Fascinating and terrifying stuff. As far as his thesis goes, he makes a compelling argument by showing an enourmous amount of well documented causal relationships without quite putting the nail in the coffin. Also, it was written in a strangely flippant way for how dark the subject matter was.

As fun as it is to read a conspiracy theory book, I had to mark this as only 2 stars. Super farfetched, lacking in real facts, and overall just trying as hard as it can to push ideas at you without sufficiently backing them up. So many irrelevant details that he tries to make something out of. Like I said though, it is fun to read it, despite the fact that it is a poor effort.
