I really enjoyed this book. Given the current lockout, some of what Strachan says is incredibly prophetic.

I learned things about the politics of the NHL I didn't know. I heard some great stories about the history of hockey and funny anecdotes about the players. It was very informative and helped abet my hockey withdrawal.

The flow wasn't great. Sometimes there would be an overlapping theme with the stories and they would go together very well. Other times the different stories would have nothing to do with what was book ending it. It could feel very disjointed at times.

As an American, it gave me a lot of insight into the Canadian mindset when it comes to hockey but it felt very pro-Canada. Strachan seems to understand America's role in the NHL but I don't think he can fully relate to our perspective.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I felt like I was eavesdropping in the dressing room or at a dinner with the players sitting around exchanging stories.
I love hockey and I've been watching it for more years than I care to remember but this book was crammed with all kinds of things that I never knew happened or never even thought would happen.
There was also a lot of insight. This guy clearly understands the game and was on close terms with all the important people in it.

I did not like it because, it's not just about one story, Al Strachan describes many of his stories inside the book. To be exact, Strachan tells numerous events inside one chapter! It started to become very confusing and disorganized.
