One of the best Caribbean cook books I have had the pleasure of reading. I've made several dishes from it and they all tasted delicious.

Clear instructions and familiar simple ingredients with nutritional facts for each recipe. Beautifully presented with scrumptious looking coloured photographs

Best cookbook ever about Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean cuisine. These recipes are fail safe and from very experienced teachers trained in "home economics" (as it was then called). Also one of the authors was my beloved vice principal Mrs. Dorothy Ramesar who taught at Naparaima Girls and then at St. Augustine Girls High School. I have owned three of these cookbooks - the original paperback with the bright pink cover from which I made doubles (ahem) and many other very technical trini dishes and then the hardcover 2nd edition which was also covered some very innovative cake making and then the paperback 2nd edition. Hurrah for a great cookbook well written and illustrated and the most fail-safe gift ever.

The quintessential Trinidadian cookbook. Almost every Trini household has one of these books, next to their copy of Cote Ci Cote La.
