To me, anyway, Alan Zweibel will always be known as a writer from the Golden Age of Saturday Night Live, though he has since written plenty for film and television, and also published a couple of books.

This is a teensy collection of three humorous essays that were apparently languishing in a desk drawer. It's good that they're getting some fresh air, and they're also a Kindle freebie, which makes them even better.

Zweibel discusses his "date" with a woman who purchased him at a charity auction, talks about empty nest (or in this case, empty backseat) syndrome, and confesses to a lack of aptitude with modern conveniences.

These take but a few minutes to read. You may get a chuckle or two from Zwiebel's experiences, and did I mention, they're free? 'Cause they are.
