There is a Happy Land could have been a biography of my Norwegian grandmother who came alone to the US on steerage. I cried reading all that she left behind but read on to discover life in America. Keys for Signe is a continuation of life in America that began in There Is a Happy Land. I am buying the books for my granddaughters.
