At the Haus, where humans and Paras reside side-by-side, everyone in need of the Rowan siblings’ services are welcome.

Fantastic story and a great romance.
You get a great storyline with this novella. Dominique takes you into some islands off of Maine and gives you witches, vamps, shifters and a lot of other bump in the night creatures. I enjoyed getting to know them and can’t wait for the next book.

Rekkus is a very dominating shifter that really doesn’t want a mate but when a woman comes to the inn for vacation he just cannot stop nor can she.

I recommend this to anyone who likes a good short read with some great characters.

I have read quite a few books that combine resorts, paranormals and finding love. So far so good and I have enjoyed them all and love the idea. I really like the idea of the Wiccan Haus series. Welcome to a new form of healing and peace. Shifting Hearts is the first in the series and has set the bar high for rest of the series.

Dana has probably just made the hardest decision of her life. While it was a mutual decision to not get married, she feels lost because she left her friend of many years and her family has disowned her because of the broken marriage. She also gave up her job and apartment to start a new life with him. Now she has nowhere to go and no one to be with. Jessie, her best friend, takes her away to the healing resort of Wiccan Haus. Dana needs time to lick her wounds and Jessie believes she just needs a good tumble in bed. She may just find both on the island.

Rekkus is the last of his kind. Though he has lost his family he has gained a new one with the Rowan siblings. His main focus is as bodyguard to Cyrus, but he is also head of security for the island. From the moment he meets Dana he knows what she is to him. Problem is that his past has left many scars he may not be able to get past. Fate has given him a gift, now all he needs is to be able to accept it.

Be warned. This is a no nonsense read. Ms. Eastwick gets right to the matter and gets things done. This is a short story, so the love and passion is instant and sizzling right from the beginning. The details are vivid, but not drawn out and the characters have depth, but she doesn’t mince words. Rekkus and Dana are meant to be together…period. I personally find nothing wrong with fast paced instant romance. They are a wonderful change of pace and a treasure to me. Sometimes I need a quick fix and this one delivers exactly what I needed. This series is going to be fun and engaging with an eclectic mix of characters and countless romantic possibilities.

I plan on enjoying this series from the beginning all the way to the end. I hope you join me. Come take a relaxing short vacation with me to the Wiccan Haus; where you will find inner peace, breathtaking magic and explosive romance.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is okay, but I really wanted to see Rekkus’s cat because he sounds gorgeous :)

This is the first book in a multi-author series called Wiccan Haus. This book is novella length and for adults only due to the steamy content. This is also my first time reading a book by Dominique Eastwick.

Okay, I started reading this book this morning, and before I realized it, I was sucked in and didn’t stop until the end. Dana is interesting because her family is rich, but she isn’t a snobby socialite like they would like. I really like her, and I wish I had a watch like hers ;) You have to read the book to understand what I mean because I’m not going to ruin your adventure. Rekkus is a protector at heart, and I think I fell for him right off the bat. This world is interesting and packed with uniqueness that made me wish I could really visit :)

Dominique did a fantastic job pulling me right into the story and her descriptions, plot, and dialogue made me fall in love with the story. I can’t wait to read more by Dominque, and I especially can’t wait to read more of this series and find more authors to love!!

I highly recommend this book to my paranormal lovin’ friends whether it is shifters, witches, or magic you will find something to enjoy :)

A Para always knows their mate at first site...

Dana is heartbroken and needs some time away from her family and the man she left at the altar. Her best friend comes along with her to the Wiccan Haus - a place of healing, peace, and relaxation. She's just an ordinary human, but she starts to see and experience things around the Wiccan Haus which give her pause...especially Rekkus.

I enjoyed the premise of the Wiccan Haus - a resort for humans and Paras that focuses on rest, relaxation, and harmony. The heat between the characters is intense and yet tender and sweet. Very well developed world and characters for a short story. This series is set up to be collaborative - with short stories from different authors coming together to create the world and characters of the Wiccan Haus. I am especially excited to see where this world will take us!

Welcome to Wiccan Haus Resort, were fate meets, destiny occurs and the romance is enchanting.
The overall story is captivating and enjoyable story to read. The author’s vivid details in the story are great. The interesting flawed characters and plot/storyline is great…
It may have been a short book to read but it won’t disappoint…
The varied wide-range of characters in the series makes this seem like it’ll be a great one to read. Looking forward to the next books in the series…

Great premise: "Fantasy Island" or "Love Boat" for paranormals and humans. Love her alpha shifter, last of his kind, reluctant lover. So hot. Strong heroine- no shrinking violet here- stands up for what she wants: Rekkus.

I really, really liked this book. It is a short story so things are fast paced. It leaves out some of the romance like courting because you are going into new scenes constantly, which is normal in a novella. It makes up for it with all its hot sex scenes. I felt that there could have been more elaborating or playing hard to get in this story but that is just my opinion. I love that they see each other and The Fates say "oh they should be together" and that is that. It is a very good story. Not much in the way of action or mingling with others but they mingle with each other just fine, lol. Rekkus is very protective and it is a very good part of the story.

Rekkus is a hot were-tiger and Dana is a human. He wants to be alone and so does Dana after saying "I don't" at her wedding just the night before. Dana is there for some healing spiritually and Rekkus is just there to protect his friend. I like how they come together but I wish there would have been alittle more to it, because I wanted more from this awesome story and couple. The theme is great and I couldn't put down this book it had me going till the end. I guess when you really like a charecter you always want more.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series and I would like to check out more of Ms Eastwick's other works that are already out. I will definatly be recommending this book to my friends!!!

A black tiger with a hot date with fate

Dana almost fell into the wreck of a marriage her parents steered her into. She’d known Frank most of her life, but marriage? Now that was a whole other can of worms, one she found she wasn’t willing to open when she found herself saying “I don’t” at the altar. Frank was in total agreement. Her parents on the other hand told her they disowned her. So she traded in her Caribbean honeymoon for a week at the Wiccan Haus with her best friend Jessie.

Rekkus is a tiger shifter. He is the reigning prince of the black tiger streak. In fact he is the last of the black tiger streak. He’s also head of security at the Wiccan Haus. A tragic past has left Rekkus with the conviction that he will never mate, but fate has other plans for him with a little help from Dana’s deceased grandmother. Although he recognizes Dana as his mate from the moment they meet, he’s determined he will avoid her for there is no way he would ever force a mating and Dana is human. She has no clue of the existence of paranorms.

All good intentions aside, life and fate has a way of throwing them together and these two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. That might have something to do with Rekkus being naked almost every time Dana runs into him. I mean who wouldn’t be slavering over a tall sexy tiger shifter? When Dana is confronted with his true nature she’ll have to determine if she can accept loving a man that’s part animal. But one thing she is bound to find out is loving this shifter is better than anything her uncaring family has ever given her. Now she only has to convince him. This was a great novella with interesting characters in a unique world. I’m looking forward to reading more in the series. I was gifted this book in exchange of an honest review.

Wowzer this was a pleasant surprise so let me tell you why. I am always on the hunt for paranormal that is different due to having read tons by now over the years. I still love alot of it thanks to characters that make a story, but also like it when different basis of it all is introduced. As soon as I opened this one (the first in a series) a welcome is given that in itself was refreshing. Since this is also the first time for me in reading anything by this author it is like panning for gold. This promises to be one bang up of a series with this one being the key that opens the gate. She gives you Dana who is gone with a friend to a island instead of going on her honeymoon, a trip that turns into something else. So a wanted vacation for her friend and something else for her it will be the beginning of a different path not expecting. Right away the people they meet will be key players in her journey to the one who will open her eyes and capture her heart. Rekkus would of never thought the guests this time around would bring so much importance to his life but there will also be a little magic and matchmaking in play. These are exactly some of the ingredients that make for thrilling reading in this genre and at times will find yourself curling your toes from the delicious reading as the author traps you in her web she weaves. Oh the possibilities this series will have to offer if this one is the first example. I could of eaten them to pieces as I was given Dana and Rekkus's story and the love that grows between them. Originality big part of this and that makes it extra special.

Shifting Hearts (Wiccan Haus, #1) by Dominique Eastwick

Shifting Hearts is a beautifully written short novella that does not disappoint, this story is written with ease and has you hooked in the first few pages. Dominique Eastwick gives you just enough information on the two main characters while introducing the reader to a wide range of other character that I am hoping we see in the future with their own stories.

This is a paranormal romance with some heat attached to it, Rekkus is a shapeshifter he is strong, protective, loyal and the last of his kind. Dana who instead of saying I Do said I Don’t is in desperate need of regrouping and relaxation. Dana and her best friend decide to go spend their holidays (ex-honeymoon) at the Wiccan Haus. When Rekkus and Dana meet you can almost feel the heat between the two of them, Rekkus knows that Dana is his mate and tries to stay clear of her but the fates have other plans for these two.

Shifting Hearts is a great read and I am defiantly a fan of Dominique Eastwick as of today. I have rated this novel 4 out 5 and will say that it is a great beginning to a new series and I cannot wait to read more.

I found this book quite a fun read. The story takes place on an island off the coast of Maine (we think ;))where a magical Inn/resort (The Wiccan Haus) is located. This particular story is the love story between a shifter who works on the island and a guest of the island whose life had pretty much hit rock bottom before she arrived. The love story was interesting to watch unfold and did have some pretty hot adult scenes for those who love them. What I loved most about the book, however, was the watching the characters of the book interact. I am not sure how to phrase this without sounding super cheesy, but I see amazing potential for this to become a "paranormal" Fantasy Island (ok, that really does sound cheesy, but the idea of people going to the island and finding what they need to make themselves whole again was what I was after ;)). I was so excited to see that there are going to be more books about the Wiccan Haus and from multiple authors. I think the potential is amazing!

thank you, first, goes out to the author for giving me a copy of this to review. This isn't a very long book, but it's also not a short story either, so think in between. It's about a girl, who called off her wedding and is just lost at what to do with her life, and a guy, who happens to be a hot black tiger shifter :) yep, it's hot! hahahaha

Rekkus is our yummy tiger, who does security at this cool island resort/spa and he has no interest in bonding with a mate... Dana is lost, and hurt, and doesn't wanna get close to a guy right now, she just needs some healing for herself...

I like that this was a quick, easy read, with fun parts, and some odd, but lovable characters... It's also an easy introduction into this new series with the characters and backgrounds given easily.

If you like some hot romance, some yummy supernaturals, and a fun, interesting plot-line, this one is for you! :)

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

It had everything from shape shifters to vampires to sirens to just plain old humans...lol

Being only 60 pages you would think it was rushed and there wouldn't be much of a story to be honest that's what
I thought to. When I started it I was only 7 pages in and I was completely hoôked. Dominque has written in a way that you feel every feeling that passes though Dana from sadness to complete happiness.

Be warned if your not into HOT romance then this isn't for you.
I also felt it was a fantastic start to the series it introduces the characters and there talents/gifts really well.

I cannot wait to read the next installment of Wiccan Haus! Shifting Hearts

Dominigue Eastwick, provided a copy of Shifting Hearts in exchange for a honest review. I would like to thank her for the request.

Shifting Hearts is a great, quick, spicy, paranormal read. With a very likable BBW Dana and of course the gorgeous WereTiger Rekkus, who is so Alpha with his 6'5" growling self, I was hooked from the beginning. The only thing I noticed was a few minor spelling errors, but it wasn't enough to throw off the pace of the story. I enjoyed Shifting Hearts immensely.

This is the start of The Wiccan Haus series and we are introduced to many of the characters that I am sure we will see more of. This is a very interesting series because it is written by several Authors. I would not only be interested in reading more of this series but more from Dominique Eastwick.....Sara

I really enjoyed this book. I don't usually like novellas too much because I don't feel that the author has enough time to really get into the character development. I think she did a great job of having the right amount of background information and action going on that I didn't even notice. This one has me awaiting the second story. I will be reading more from this author.

I love getting in at the start of a new series. Technically it isn't a new series; it started at the now defunct Musa Publishing and moved to Decadent Publishing where it's been revived and new stories added. This is the first book, for both lines. The basic concept of the series appeals to me: a magical resort where both humans and paranormals come to play or rest and just happen to find romance. Humans don't know about paranormals but there are some exceptions.

Rekus (it's a Welsh name) is the head of security at Rekus house and fiercely loyal to the siblings who own and run it. He's taken by surprise when a human visitor, Dana, is his mate. Oh yes, we have destined mates and insta-lust and insta-love. BUT! Eastwick gives the destined mates a twist, one that made it more palatable for me: Each partner has to willing and knowingly bond with the other. So, Rekus bonds with Dana before she bonds with him. She could have walked away and left him for someone else. The downside is he still would have been bonded to her. But, not too bad for the whole destined mates nonsense. You can see I'm not a fan of the concept but I think I'll be able to tolerate it in this world.

Dana was engaged, but called it off at the last minute. Instead of being on her honeymoon, she's at this island spa with a friend. Given that she had literally just broken up with her fiance, I wasn't too thrilled at how quickly she fell into having sex, and then a relationship, with Rekus, but you know, that whole fated mates thing.

You're probably wondering, "Bea, did you even like this story?" I did, I really did. I'm just laying out some of the problems I had with it and with the series. So, what did I like?

Rekus is one of those rough around the edges guys but when he likes you, he'll do anything for you. He's loyal as heck and can be tender. I loved how he handled Dana's financial problems - quietly, tactfully, no fuss, just a man helping out the woman he loves. He's disciplined yet passionate, rough yet sweet, and willing to give his life to protect his woman and the owners of the resort who are his friends and his employers.

Dana is quiet at first, uncertain of what she's doing or where she's going, and gobsmacked by her reaction of Rekus. It's not long before she's jumping his bones and whew, are they hot together! She handled herself pretty well when she found out that Rekus was a weretiger, witches are real, and magic is very real. Which is not to say that she accepted it right away but she came around readily enough. She was someone I could see myself hanging out with her, I liked her.

"Shifting Hearts" was passionate, sweet, a little mysterious, and I like the setup of the series. Since Rekus is the head of security, I'm sure he'll pop up in other books in the series. And maybe someday there will be cubs?

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I always give honest reviews whether people appreciate them or not. This is the republishing of the first book of the Wiccan Haus Series now from Decadent Publishing. Wiccan Haus is on an island off the coast of Maine and it is magically protected with a thick fog around is, and a magical boundary beneath the surface as well. It’s kind of a paranormal spa yet they do have regular humans go there also.

We begin this story with Dana taking her time getting off the boat that takes Wiccan Haus guests to the island. Dana was supposed to get married. She resigned from her job, moved out of her apartment all with plans to get married. Heck, the trip to Wiccan Haus was supposed to be her honeymoon trip to the Caribbean. Her best friend, Jessie, bought her ex’s trip and joined her for this one. Dana and Jessie are both part of New York Socialite Families and Dana’s has just disowned her. She isn’t certain what she is going to do with her life and figures she can spend her time at Wiccan Haus figuring it out.

Just so you know, Wiccan Haus had been given to Cyrus Rowan and his three siblings Sarka, Cemil and Sage. Each has their own paranormal ability and are cool in their own different ways. Rekkus was hired on to be chief of security and to specifically guard Cyrus. Rekkus found a wristwatch and asks Cyrus to use his ‘gift’ to identify the owner so it can be returned. Turns out it’s Dana’s watch and when Rekkus goes to return it to her….well, his animal wants to take control. I say that because Rekkus is a Tiger Shape-shifter, and his Tiger takes one look at Dana and wants her! Poor Dana isn’t really certain what just happened, she knows she thinks Rekkus is HAWT but since she was supposed to marry someone the night before she isn’t willing to jump into things.

Rekkus is suddenly uninterested in any other female and thinks Dana may actually be his mate. Dana doesn't really understand some of the things she's seen...like Rekkus suddenly turning into a tiger! But she knows she is safe with Rekkus and wants to see if they might have more than just sexual attraction. I have read all of the Wiccan Haus books from the other publisher, and they were quite good, none are dependent on the others, and I plan to read them all again as they are republished. I’ve said this before in other reviews for works by Ms. Eastwick, but I will admit freely that I am addicted to her stories! I have loved what she’s written for Decadent Publishing and what she had also done with Musa Publishing. Her Wiccan Haus characters are excellent and her twists and turns keep me riveted. I have always kept my eyes open for Ms. Eastwick’s work and will continue to.

Sometimes it just takes an alpha were-tiger to help you figure out what you want in life. So where do you find one? At the Wiccan Haus, of course. Just don’t expect him to greet you with open arms.

Rekkus is the last black were-tiger, and he’s sworn off long term relationships. A terrible tragedy in his past left him the lone survivor of his kind. But try as he might, he can’t run from fate. She’s showed up on his secluded island with a boat-load of heartache, a terrible knack for losing her grandmother’s watch, and a pent up passion just begging for release. Rekkus has no doubt he’s just the tiger to tackle Dana’s neglected intimacy issues, but is he willing to accept the whole kit and caboodle that comes with it?

Dana just left the love of her life standing at the altar. Last minute cold feet? Apparently not, since her groom seemed to share the same ailment. Though their parting was mutual, it still left her grieving for what should have been. Her best friend has dragged her to some crazy island where sex is the driving focus and all she wants to do is crawl in bed and let her depression take over. But the staff of the Wiccan Haus have other ideas for both Dana and Rekkus. Like it or not, their destinies are intertwined. If Rekkus is willing to let go of the past and Dana is willing to trust in her heart, together, they might just discover the power of love.

Ms. Eastwick does a wonderful job of bringing two characters from completely different backgrounds together into an explosive climax—both sexual and emotional. Poor Dana is thrust into a world of creatures that she never knew existed, only to discover that there’s been a bit of magic in her life for many years. Rekkus is a brooding, alpha male determined to fight commitment tooth and claw, until he finally gives in, then he’s willing to jump in with both feet. The reader gets to see him go from an “in charge” kind of guy, to submissive to Dana’s needs, wants, and wishes. It’s a nice change. View point, grammar, and punctuation are handled very well. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would likely read it again.

Take one tough tiger shifter; a timid, less-than-perfect female; a handful of paranormal misfits, add a little bit of magic, and you get a scrupulously entertaining story filled with witty humor, primal attraction, and some good old fashioned romance. Grab a copy of Shifting Hearts by Dominique Eastwick, you won’t be disappointed.

Being that there was quite a demand for Cyrus's skills that he perfected over the years , with Rekkus by is side every time some sort of accidents would happen. had to , being that she made several life decisions and realized at the last minute they were wrong, Giving thanks to the higher up , and maybe it was at the last minute and having her whole family so mad at her, BUT she did the right thing. So here she was for one whole week and the people promised that she would leave the island very relax and at peace. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

What a great start to a new series. The series is about a beautiful island owned by paranormals were humans and other paranormals can go to heal kind of like a spa of sorts yet they use their powers to help them along. The first book Shifting Hearts is about Rekkus a shape shifter that works security on the island. Rekkus is all sexy alpha male that has been scarred by his past. Dana is a human visitor to the island looking for some relief after leaving her fiance at the alter unable to marry him and embarrassing her whole family that has always put to much pressures on her to be someone she's not in the first place. Dana will find peace and love on this magical island. Dana and Rekkus can't help but be pushed together by fate but what a hot, intense relationship it turns out to be. Their soul mates and can't help but be together.

For such a short story the plot and pace of the story was done very well it didn't feel like it was missing anything. I only wish the book would have been longer so that I could spend more time in their world with the characters. Fortunately there will be other books in the series so that I can escape once again although the other books are being written by other authors I'm hoping their just as good as Dominique. This book is definitely for erotica fans and paranormal romance fans. I would recommend this book as a quick sexy read.

Dominique is an author that is new to me. This is the first book I have read from her. This is also the first book in the Wiccan Haus series. Shifting Hearts is about a young woman, Dana, who breaks off an engagement during the wedding ceremony. Dana and her friend then decide to spend the would- be honeymoon at the Wiccan Haus to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. Dana has some decisions to make and this is the place to do it. While there Dana meets Rekkus and the story begins…

I am still new to the shifter genre, but am finding that I enjoy it. Shifting Hearts is the first Big Cat shifter book I have read. I tend to read wolves. Dominique did a great job explaining the shifting how’s and whens in Shifting Hearts. That made it much more believable. The characters interacted well with others and the secondary characters received great introductions for future reference. I can see some good stories coming from them. Each character has their own special “powers” or “abilities”.

Shifting Hearts was a short, fast, sexy read, just what I needed on my busy hockey mom schedule. I was able to connect with the characters quickly, grasp the relationship, and believe the plot. This makes for a good story. I look forward to reading more of Dominique Eastwick.

I don't normally go much for shape-shifting in erotic romances, too much room for yik. No yiks here, only yum! Rekkus is a wonderful hero--very alpha (and the shape-shifting actually adds to that nicely), yet romantic and considerate. The heroine, Dana, was likable in her insecurities and the way she handled discovering the secret of the island plausible. The development of the relationship felt real even though it was (of necessity) quick. I'm not usually into novellas, either, as I just like more plot and world-building, character development, etc. than there is space for in shorter stories and this one is only 21,500 words. But the concept of Wiccan Haus--a resort/spa where paranormals and humans come to heal--with stories by different authors about the place--was too hard to resist. It was on my TBR list before I won it in a contest. I'm even more enthused by the premise now that Ms. Eastwick has introduced me to it. I've read a previous novel by her, so I know that she can write very sweet romances that are also quite hot. This story reinforced that. I'm looking forward to the next books in the series.

Dana and her fiancée have agreed that neither want to be married to the other, unfortunately they came to that decision at the alter in front of all their family and friends. What's a girl to do when she doesn’t want to spend her honeymoon alone? Why cash in tickets to the Caribbean and head to the Wiccan Haus with your best friend! Which is where Dana met Rekkus. Rekkus is the last of the black tigers, he is at the Wiccan Haus to protect his best friend and his family from those that would hurt the paranormal siblings. In the midst of this Dana and Rekkus find each other. The cast of characters are sweet and endearing. The characters all assist their little romance along, assisting Dana in understanding their island and their world.

This was a short read, it was very sweet and well worth the time for a quick read. I really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more about the characters at the Wiccan Haus and from Dominique Eastwick (Review by Krissy at notnowmommysreading.weebly.com)

I received Wiccan Haus #1, Shifting Hearts, as a prize in a blog hop. I was really intrigued by the underlying 'world' concept with the spa/retreat. I thought that the base for that, and for the series, was quite well done. We had a lot of characters to be introduced to in this first book to make it work. As a novella, the story had a good arc.

There were a few small typos, and I felt that the romance was really predictable (the watch plot device was an example of that) but I read a veritable ton of ebooks. It's hard to find stories that really surprise me. Rekkus was hot and the sex scenes well crafted. I wasn't as into Dana's character, but I liked her personality. The story felt believable, even if it isn't in reality. That's a mark of a well built fantasy world with enough grounding to make it relatable.

Overall, 4 stars.

Oh book me a trip now!

Dana at the last minute called off a wedding and her family is mad. Her best friend and Dana booked a trip to Wiccan Haus to heal.

Rekkus is the head of security for Wiccan Haus. One look at Dana told him all he needed to know, she was the one. His one. Only he never planned to mate plus she's human.

Thus was a great storyline. I loved the characters and it was so much fun to read. This book had a small amount of drama form the wedding being called off and Rekkus not planning to mate but the rest is pure hot and steamy.

If your into Wiccans, shifters & paranormal romance then this book is perfect for you. I loved it. ☺

Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Dana finally stood up for herself when she walks away from her wedding. Now at Wiccan Haus to heal, she's not even sure of what she needs...certainly the sexy security manager, Rekkus, who has his own demons.

Ms. Eastwick creates a world sure to entertain with Wiccan Haus, where humans and paras can rejuvenate side by side. Magic, passion and fun abounds on this island.

This is the first book in this amazing series I've read and I can't wait for more! Her characters are engaging and sizzling as they find their own soulmates.
