This book shows and tells them why it is important to share with others. Titles in the enlightening and entertaining Why Should I? series of picture storybooks answer questions that younger boys and girls are likely to ask about a wide range of topics. Part of every child's development consists of asking questions about themselves, their friends and neighbors, and their surroundings. Why Should I? books help them discover good answers. Kids will be attracted by the amusing color illustrations on every page, and parents and teachers will appreciate the note at the back of each book offering further suggestions on answering children's questions.

This book came in a series on “Why Should I?” books. This is a great book to have to reinforce sharing and to discuss empathy. My son likes the characters and often asks to read this even during our casual cookies and books time (right around 2 or 3 in the afternoon I like to do stories with cookies to keep reading fun and worthwhile).

Oh how I wish that my kids would actually share. It would be a miracle of some sort. Anyways, this is a cute book. I thought that the author did a good job on showing how people will react if you don't share. This is also an AR book for anyone who might want to know. I would recommend this book to others. I hope that your children will follow along better than mine do...

This book has a great lesson about sharing for kids. I like this book because it shows the value of sharing and how it can make you feel better. When the little boy sees how nice it is to share, he realizes that he can have a lot more fun with his friends and family.

This book follows Tim around to see him in life, but he doesn't share. He doesn't think it is fun, he really doesn't understand sharing. But he finds out that it can be fun to share, and rewarding.

Along with this authors two other books, there are a lot of similarities with my past two responses on the other books. All of these books have a re-occuring theme which is working on character building. I feel this book would be more suitable for younger children around Kindergarten. It is especially difficult for children at this age to understand sharing. They have the mindset that they should get what they want, when and where they want it. It would be a good book for the beginning of first grade as well. You could create many different activities where they are maybe having a scavenger hunt and they have to learn how to share their findings with different students in the class.

Why Should I Share written by Claire Llewellyn is a story about a little boy not wanting to share. As the story progresses it shows all the things he did not want to share. His mother tries to encourage him to share but it does not work. He finally relaizes that sharing make things more fun! Playing with the dog, playing with new toys and getting along better with friends. This is a great book to read to younger children about the importance of shring with your classmates. If you do not share, your friends will no longer play with you and you will have no one to play with. Sharing makes things so much more fun because you are not alone, you are with your friends.

Tim doesn't like to share and doesn't understand why he should have to. His mum explains things to him, but he's still not convinced until next door neighbor twins convince him sharing is fun.

This seemed a bit too simple for me. Tim makes a dramatic turn around extremely quickly, and when's the last time you met a pair of twins who were enthusiastic about sharing? Oh well, it is aimed at a very young age set. The goal is good. I think it could have been done a little better. The book is also a little dated, one of the things Tim learns to share with his little brother is his walkman. I'm guessing most children will have no idea what that thing is.
