Tiger shifter and a psychic

John is an agent of the Immortal Ops program. He had his DNA genetically altered and was now a tiger shifter. In the past he had some friends who didn’t turn out perfectly and were considered Immortal Outcasts. He feels that their deaths were his fault and held a lot of guilt for that. Lately he has been drinking a lot and has gone downhill so he takes a break and goes back to his hometown even though his family is dead.

That is where he meets Tori, who sees dead people, especially her grandmother. It turns out Tori is the daughter of one of John’s Outcast friends, and she is only about twenty, but his friend supposedly died forty years ago. He also finds out that Tori is his mate.

The story was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I just wish these books were longer. This audiobook was only a bit over 3 hours, so pretty short. The story would have been much better if it was longer, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Mason Lloyd did the narration and he always does a fantastic job. I really like his voice and he is great at doing different voices for different characters.

Jon and Tori

Another quick read, Mandy Roth sure knows how to get you hooked. I just wished Tori was able to show more of her powers and Jon was able to be the sniper he is. The story was less intense but still a good read and opened for more plots in the series.. I just wish the story was longer... 🙏😔😔

Loving the Immortal World series as a whole, but I'm seriously not liking how abruptly the individual stories are ending. Personally, I think $5-$6 is too much for how short these stories are, and I think the author is doing her fans a disservice by charging so much for so little writing. I'm only continuing the series because I'm really interested in seeing how the whole thing wraps up and how theses shifters find their mates.

Separation Zone, by Mandy Roth is the latest addition to the Immortal Ops World of books. This installment was a little different that the others because it takes place away from the actual team. The team is in transition with Lukian and many of the other members now mated and beginning to have children, the team members are even more protective. Jon has known his mate was out there and that they would cross paths. He did not know his mates origins and how his mate was tied to his past. I enjoyed Jon and Tori. They each had their own demons to conquer, but were perfect for each other. The infusion of the parts about Roi and Lukian when their mates are in labor were hilarious! I love this series and this is another great addition. While it can be read as a stand-alone this book is best read as part of the series.

I loved Jonathan and Tori together. I found this story to be fun, sexy, warm, and everything I want a romance to be. I didn't want to put it down once I started reading, it was incredibly well written. Jon had a troubled past but he found the perfect balm in Tori. Her grandmother brought humor and lightness to a story that had some sad and dark moments. She was full of spunk, fun, and love. She was exactly the push that Tori and Jon needed to push their reservatio aside and stop fighting their feelings. I loved this book and I eagerly await more from Roth.

This is the first Immortal Ops book that I have read and I loved it and plan to read the rest of them very soon.

Jonathon Reynell is a Tiger Shifter and he is in a deep funk, drowning his guilt in booze. Now it's almost that day he has to face every year, this time he's going to go against orders and go back to his hometown and attend his best friends memorial. Little does he know that he's about to meet the daughter of his best friend and his future mate also a very dead and kicking Mrs. Manzo, her grandmother.

Tori Manzo is taken to painting a Praying Tiger and she is definitely not selling it and she doesn't even know why she is so taken with it. She sees the dead and people think her daft, she can't even have a relationship with a man because he can feel everything he is thinking. Then along comes this swoon worthy man and that problem is gone!......Grandma Manzo knows why and takes to playing cupid.

This story was so much fun, I still can't stop laughing at Mrs. Manzo's antics. Loved it Ms. Roth!

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

Finaaaaallllyyyyy!!!!!!

Jon is being in a bad place after the death of his friend and decides to go back to his hometown.

Tori can see the dead and is expecting him to come home for years.

He doesn't want a mate cause only danger follows him
She needs a mate cause danger is coming her way

Can they find their way to each other and save one another??

A fast paced, witty, funny, steamy book that captivates you from the first page and finally we get to see Jon's story!!!!

Another great Installment by Mandy in the I-Ops series.

We’ve watched Jon fall deeper into depression, deeper into a dark place that he’s having real trouble getting himself out of over several previous stories. And with each additional Immortal Ops visit, we see him getting slowly worse to the point now where he’s been ordered to take some time off. Now, in Separation Zone, the seventh title in the Immortal Ops series we see him at rock bottom, breaking with a long-held order for all the men to not return to their original hometowns… but Jon needs to break that rule for it’s the one day a year that a massive memorial for fallen soldiers is held back home and this year he intends to be there, not certain why he’s driven to go home, but going home nonetheless.

Tori is a talented artist who lately has been obsessed with painting tigers, not her usual subject. But this particular painting is becoming an obsession and she will get lost for hours in its creation. Tori sees, hears, and speaks to the dead. It’s one of the reasons she’s become somewhat of a hermit rarely leaving home as she is barraged by the dead and requests for help… which also makes her look quite crazy to the rest of the world. The one voice she does welcome is her grandmother’s… and that sly lady is up to something, insisting that he will be returning home and to watch for him… whoever “he” is. Tori’s learned to just go along with her grandmother’s comments but this time there is a stirring, a feeling that something is awaiting her just out of reach… that feeling would be Jon returning home and claiming his mate.

Separation Zone is a touch different from the other stories. This one gave me a deeper emotional reaction to one of the men’s suffering, for Jon has seen and done too much over his long life for it not to have affected him. And the recent losses tipped him over that edge. His loneliness, his weariness, his sadness simply surrounded me in a way that my wish for his eventual happiness with Tori was a bit stronger than usual. I adored Tori’s grandmother, her sense of humor and the way that Jon reacted to her presence gave me several chuckle moments in this one. Tori is a strong character, stubborn as well and she’s in danger… as if just finding out her mate, after all this talk about him, finally found her isn’t enough to deal with. I enjoyed Tori and Jon together, they simply fit. As always, I had a blast back in this world and cannot wait to dive into the next one.

At the time of this review, I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Oh my gosh I've been waiting forever for Jon's story. I really do think the books are way too short, especially the price.

Johnathon "Jon" Raynell, a tiger shifter and a member the Immortal Ops team. Tori Manzo has her own special powers. She has a little Fae in her and she sees dead people. Tori is Jon's best friends daughter which he thinks is dead. And the guilt of him talking his friend into the Ops program and dying hits him hard at the memorial. He's back in his home town that he agreed to turn away from when he joined Ops. But her he is with his eyes on Tori with his mate starring at him. Jons there because he's hit rock bottom from loosing so many brothers of Immortal Ops and the lost of his best friend Vinny. At the memorial not only does he find his mate but he thinks she's crazy because she talks to people not there. She talks to her grandmother on a regular so everyone thinks she talks to herself. But she cuts her finger and he taste her blood then he finds out that he can see her grandmother also. Which was pretty cool because she's hilarious 😂. I love ❤️ Jon and Tori's journey; I was pulled into their story from the beginning and found it difficult to put down. I got my HEA and a baby. The perfect ending. I also love the playful interactions with many of the Immortal Ops teams trials and thrills adjusting to being mated and becoming fathers. Loved this series.

Jonathon and Tori ... Jon is having a hard time dealing with teammate Lance's death, and Wilson being taken by the Corporation. He's hitting the bottle hard, and decides to clear his head in his home town. The town is having an annual remembrance celebration, and he goes ... planning to pay his respects to his best friend Vinnie, who didn't make it through the conversion.

He's fighting it, because Lance predicted his mate would be in danger ... thinking himself would be the cause of that danger ... but he sees Tori, and is completely taken with her. Even if she's a little strange. Turns out she can see the dead, and her Grandmother is playing cupid. Grandmother also happens to be his best friend's mother ... making Tori his daughter, and that Vinnie is out there somewhere.

Thank really freaks Jon out for a bit, but the pull of a fated mate is just too tempting to resist for long. Turns out, the Corporation has had their sights on Tori, and Jon has to go full Tiger to protect her, as his teammates mates are having babies!
Jon also catches the scent of Lance ... who's not dead ... and appears to be working FOR the Corporation?!?!? ..
There is quite a lot going on and this is too short to do these two justice for my liking.
Not enough of Jon doing what he does best and I would have loved to have spent more time with Tori.
Jon is not coping very well and is drowning at the bottom of a bottle. He is so bad he has been sent on leave but I think an intervention from his team would have been of more help. Saying that Jon makes his way back to his home town, a big no no, and there he meets his mate Tori, who turns out to be the daughter of his best friend Vinnie, who he believes died due to his encouraging him to join the I-Ops programme.
Tori is very special and has powers that I would have loved to have her do more off in this story.
Loved Mrs Manzo giving Jon hell and how much fun she was.
Sorry but I have to say these books are getting shorter and the prices higher.

Psychics and Pussycats

We’ve waited a long time to read Jon’s story and in this, he’s been forced on leave after finding out someone from his life might actually be alive, and after nearly losing a brother-in-arms, he’s been drinking himself stupid.
Ignoring the rules, he goes to his old town, to a memorial for those lost during the wars.
He meets a striking woman who unfortunately appears insane at first - until he realises she can actually speak to the dead, including her forthright gran. The gran is great, smacking Jon round the head if he swears or gets too horny.
As well as a journey of self discovery and healing, he unites with the woman, his potential mate.
It’s more of the same. But still fun. Sex, shifters and a continuation of the eugenics and insane docs storyline.

He's a tiger shifter and done so much in his life that he hates to think about it he has nightmares at night yesterday drink to sleep. When he gave up his life to be what he is for his country who no longer except him and tries to kill him he had to give up his ties to home. When he got a notice in the paper that they were having a memorial service for all the military that had died he decides to go for his friend Vince. While there he meets his mate who can see dead people and he thinks that she's crazy. Of course all the bad guys are after her because she was the daughter of one of the ones that they did testing on which means that she was very valuable to them to Breed. As of all of her books I love them all I cannot wait for the eighth one to come out.

Going home again

Separation Zone is book 7 in the Immortal Ops series and we finally get to find out about Jon's back story. Jon grew up in the south to a single mom, his dad died when he was very young. Jon joined the military with his best friend wanting to make a difference. When he talked his best friend into doing the top secret project he had no idea it would cost his friend his life.
Tori Manzo grew up hearing stories of her dad's best friend. Tori has special gifts passed down from her father and having Fae blood in their history. Tori can see and speak to dead people as well as being able to read objects for the owners feelings etc. She has always known Jon would come she just wasn't ready for the overwhelming feelings that came with him.

Hot tigers and southern sass

Another great book in the Immortal Ops series. Jon is smoking hot but fighting depression as all his teammates find their mates. Two close friends are dead and he feels responsible. Returning home on forced leave brings more heartache, but also a chance at happiness.

Tory might be full of southern sass, but the townsfolk just think she's crazy. Always talking to her invisible friend. Not that she cares what the town thinks, but she doesn't want Jon to agree with them.

Add in some bad guys, some ruthless, others just plain stupid. Overheating hormones, chase scenes, and ear tugging, head-slapping ghosts make for a gripping story you won't want to miss.

Forgiveness is pending

Jon is having a very difficult time dealing with things. He has lost many friends both during the time that the government made them into the immortals that are and within the parameters of the missions.
So he heads back to the place he grew up in many years ago. All of yhe people he knew at that time are dead so he doesn't believe that he will be recognized.
Tori can see the dead. Her long dead grandmother is there to keep her company. She can also see visions from objects. And touching people.gives her readings too. So she pretty much stays out in the country away from everyone.
I love that more immortals are about to be introduced and we have many more stories to read!

Good, not Great!

Some of the Immortal Ops novels are better than the others: the stories have better plots and characters, there's more action and intrigue. Separation Zone is certainly entertaining, it meets all my criteria for a good book, unfortunately it just doesn't quite merit the term great. Jon Reynell and Tori are a cute couple, but not a dynamic or overwhelming couple. I like Tori, it's just that there is nothing special, memorable or unique about either Jon, Tori or their romance.... Irrespective of this review, I encourage others to read this novel, my opinion might not be yours.

This is Jon's story and is another great book in the Immortal Ops series. Jon is fighting with himself and feeling responsible for the loss of some of his team mates. Not only that but his teammates are finding their mates. At yet another loss he returns home to say goodbye but facing the past brings more heartache and frustration, but it also finally gives him something for a chance at happiness.

A bit of sass, invisible friends, hot tigers and bad guys, easy banter and heavy witt make this another gripping tale not to be missed.

It's the tiger's turn

Nice to see Jon mated after these several books. The praying tiger needed a break from being sniper. One shot, one kill; that's our boy!

Meeting his mate is a really different experience for him. His mate talks to ghosts. Not only that, the corporation is after her. What's a tiger to do? Why keep her safe, of course! That's what a good mate does.

If you're already invested in these books, Jon's story isn't to be missed.

I've liked the last two books. The mated met early on and didn't have a lot of conflict with the claiming, like Green and Roi had. Man those two, I love em but they were frustrating as h*ll! I am enjoying that these books are shorter to get each characters background, and the plot just keeps going. ^.^ They are short, but because the plot keeps going, it's like the whole series in a huge novel, broken down into short stories. I've never read a series like this one and I Love it!

This is the book 7 in the Immortal Ops Series. I love this Series! This is a short novella, suspenseful, fast-paced, action packed! DC Cole did a wonderful job with the narration. Very good series

I have been waiting for Jon's story. The quiet ones are always the ones you have to watch. Jon is a southern boy who has reached his limit. He returns home looking for peace and finds hi mate. It just happens that his mate can see and talk to ghosts. And so the fun begins. This series is smart, sexy, and packed full of action.

To me, Separation Zone was the most emotional of the Immortal Ops books. Jon's need for peace seems to be a fruitless quest until he returns to his home town. One look at Tori and he knew. She is his home. Tori, with the help of some unseen friends, knows that Jon is the one she's been waiting for.

I wish we could’ve “seen” Jon shift. It was nice to see some
back story with a character but again, like I’ve said with the previous in the series, I want more.

Maybe it’s a reader preference but I like details. I like a good build up as long as it’s steady. While this does have some of that, I feel like things were skipped or simply left out.

Jon and Tori

Jon is drinking away his sorrows and decides to go to his home town for a service for fallen soldiers. Tori lives in Jon's home town and sees dead people. Tori's dead grandmother keeps telling her to make certain food dishes and that he will come. Will Jon and Tori find their HEA? I highly recommend this book and series.

Another I-Ops mating complete

I have thoroughly enjoyed the I-Ops world. It was one of the first PNR books I've read and each story rings me deeper in. I am truly excited for Jon and hope to continue the adventures in future stories.
