My copy of this title was published in 1990, and I have not found a new edition. Which is sad. If you know what inner child work is about, then you can definitely appreciate this title. And if you don’t know anything about it, I can still recommend this title, since it is full of excellent insights that are valid to this day, when inner child work has become more popular in therapy.
If you are a survivor of CSA you’ll most likely find passages that could be rough to read for you and could potentially be triggering. If you read this book, you’ll also have good reason to do so, and I can fully recommend this. The exercises in it are still as good and in use as they were when this was originally published, and the facts given are also still valid. You might want to check new sources for statistics, though. Definitely a recommendation. 6 out of 5 stars.
Trigger warning: The book is full of passages that might bring unwanted memories back when you are a survivor.
How to heal yourself by re-connecting with your inner child. Insightful, practical help for healing the deepest wounds and really connecting with yourself.
