Holly's new, young teacher has a dark past, and a dangerous future. She soon finds herself charmed by his ways, and gets thrown into the chaos. Who knew having an ex-gangster for a teacher could be so troublesome? As Holly and Mr. Heywood grow closer, more questions about his past come upon Holly, as does danger. What is Mr. Heywood keeping from Holly? And why is it so bad? But most importantly, if she falls for him, could their relationship survive? After all... it would be a proscriptive relationship.

I read this book on Wattpad a million and a half years ago. It was so good it stuck with me today, so much that I remembered to look up it's publishing status. I was extremely pleased to find out it had finally been published, after all this time! Plus the cover is gorgeous, I have to say. Congrats Jordan Lynde, I've known about your talent for quite awhile, now it's time for the rest of the world to experince it. I don't mean to be sappy, but you've inspired me in so many ways. I'm also a young author, and because of you I haven't unermined my own writing based on age.

Now for my extremely overdue review. I don't remember the plot all that much, I read the novel over a two years ago. All I remember is gangs, the addicting characters, and pure awesomeness. Holly is the epitome of a sweet, innocent school girl. Chris is mysterious...the type of mysterious that draws us to him. Inbetween the intense plot and witty humor (there's lots of it, and it's great), the characters grow. That's what I remember most, how alive they are. Out of all the protagonists, I have to say I remember Jeremy's scenes the most. I loved him so much, and look, two years later I still haven't forgetten how hilarious his charcater was. This novel was deep, and the little twists and turns made it even better. Without the student teacher romance it in it wouldn't have been near as origonal. Lynde did a great job of making the plot unique. It was fresh and addicting.

All in all, everytime someone mentions Wattpad I automatically recommend reading A Proscriptive relationship first. Anyone that listens to me becomes a huge fan, always. This novel and the one that follows occupies a huge part of my heart. It changed the kind of books I read for the better. I am no doubt going to buy my own copy...I will actually be able to hold a hard copy in my hands, I can't wait! Let's pray this get's attention, it surely deserves it. I hope the next two will be publshed, trilogies are more likely to take off. It doesn't matter though, I will always remember how much I love this story.

I have met the writer of this book in real life, and I know some things about this book that others don't. But I still love it immensely.

The author overused the word ‘blushing.”

Holly is a 17 year old senior who is about to turn 18.
She meets the hero when she is out grocery shopping and he is being attacked by a gang. Little does she know that it is a gang that he used to belong to and he is also he new biology teacher.

This is a student/teacher romance, but only about a 4 year age year gap. Clean read.

I paid $4.99 for this book. It needs another review from an editor. There was a lot of errors throughout the book. I don't think the book is worth $4.99.

I liked it, but the last 20% of the book regarding Shawn was okay. The execution was weak.

I was disappointed by the epilogue.

Chris had a lot of secrets regarding his ex-girlfriend. I think that Holly got over this a bit too quickly. Chris should have groveled for keeping this a secret from Holly.

Holly and Chris shared a past.

FIRST IMPRESSION

This looks like it'll probably be quite an interesting book.
Teacher/student romance - it'll probably be quite an amusing story.

WRITING STYLE

Good. I've read some of XxSkater2GirlxX's books before so I am slightly familiar with her writing style. I don't think it was as good as some of her others, but hey ho, that's just me.

PLOT

I will say this, original. I haven't read any books quite like this.
It wasn't fast paced and although not too slow it is a long book....
I really didn't know what to expect in some chapters.

CHARACTERS

It is quite amusing how often Holly blushes/cries. Seriously comical.
As far as main characters, I suppose she is okay...
She is quite a clichéd character though, so yeah, a little more originality would be nice...

Chris can be amusing at times, but most of the time I was thinking 'dickhead'.
He is pretty unrealistic at times.
He was pretty fine apart from that... If I knew someone like him... Argh, they wouldn't be breathing right now....

I. Love. Jeremy. He is just an awesome character, ahh!
Okay, anyway back to being my critical self, I can't think of anything bad to say about him.
He wasn't perfect (perfect characters are unbelievable) but was really amusing to read.
Some of the stuff he said.... Funny :)
There was one bit that would have worked well but I think me and most other readers wanted to cry. Until I saw the author's note underneath it. Which was good.

Casey. Jeremey's perfect match. She is basically a female equivalent of him.
She is also very amusing to read and at the end surprisingly chill about everything.
Her and Jeremy teasing Holly and Chris is funny to say the least.

Holly's mum, well she is awesome.
I mean I really didn't expect her to say this thing that she said, but it was gold, pure gold.
Out of all the people to do that it was her mum.

Shawn and the annoying gangster people.
Exactly why you should never join a gang kids!
All of those characters are sadistic and unforgiving...
I can see my brother as one when he is older -.-

OVERALL

Pretty awesome book, I really enjoyed it and will be reading A Surreptitious (sp?) Relationship in the near future.
A really good read, filled with romance, humour and some pretty kickass action.
I stayed up til 2:30am reading this so full marks on making it pretty addictive.

LOVED IT!

I loved everything about this book. I loved the characters and the plot with the little mystery and the writing style. It just took you places with ups and downs, seriousness and clumsiness. I can't believe how much that book made me laugh given the situations that were happening.

Holly was the cutest thing ever with all her innocence and awkwardness. I think everyone will relate to her in one way or another, I certainly do. She's a typical eighteen year old girl with her doubts and fears but also her excitement for new things and wanting to just have fun. I also found her very brave (sometimes to the extent of stupidity) and she's the one person that certainly took blushing to a whole new level.

Mr Heywood was probably the person with the most character development. Even though he puts up a strong display, I liked when we got to see a little deeper inside. It was hilarious seeing him bossing Holly around and making her nervous all the time and messing with her head. I have to say, though, that Jeremy was definitely the funniest person here. I just want to be his friend (well not really, given all that he does to them) and his relationship with Heywood makes me feel like he's practically Chris' family (their friendship, of course. He-he.)

I have to say that I don't know many student/teacher plots but that one was very interesting. There were a lot of elements that hinted at the characters' personality without mentioning them again . The story itself was action packed but also so funny my family complained sometimes. It was an awesome combination and the author definitely pulled it off.

I can tell you that i have read every single book xxskater2girl16xx had written on wattpad.
She is by far my favourite author there.
About this book, you wouldn't be surprised to know that i absolutely ADORED it.
This book has made me laugh, cry, squeal, fan-girl, blush, and made me crazy hyper.
Jordan Lynde has got a way with words. She has some serious potential and i really, really, really wish she would publish all her books in paperback.
I would really love to have all her books in my collection.
It would be worth every penny.
My rating? as high as it can get, 5 stars is not enough

Did a fast read, I wanted to drop it at chapter 2 coz it ain't that unique but then I decided to just continue coz he's kind of an asshole and I like asshole characters! Lol

The story's okay, i'm not sure if i'm going to read stories from wattpad again, this is too light for me, I mean, even with the gang thing, it's just...i want heavy stories, i want hot scenes, and I didn't get any of that from this novel. I think teens would love this but not me...

Best book on Wattpad in my opinion! Jeremy is the funniest, most adorable, kinda third wheelish kind guy I've read so far. Chris had me melting inside and Holly had me hooked! They're a lot of main female characters that I find annoying, almost all of them, but never Holly. I can only dream of having characterization and plot forming skills like her someday. And ohmigosh, the ending of this book was perfect! The whole thing was actually. Lynde really knows how to hook a reader and create a startling romance. Five stars all the way, I recommend it to anyone!

Mis respetos a la autora por atreverse a hacer pública su historia. Simplemente no me gustó.
Absurdo.

I have mixed feelings about this book, but I'm still going to write a review for it anyway. I liked to start off by saying that I actually stumbled upon this book on this website called Wattpad, I'm sure you've probably heard of it, but if not, it's where you can post your stories online for other people to read. I thought this was okay, it definitely was a fun read, but I just wasn't in love with it.

The one thing I didn't like about this was how annoying Holly could be at times. She literally blushed at everything, and the author described her as clumsy, so she fell or tripped over something like almost every page. However, the other characters in here I absolutely adored. Like Mr. Heywood for example. Once again, this is a student/teacher relationship book so if you don't like these types of books, don't read it. I did enjoy most of this book though, it was an easy read for me.

This book holds such a special place in my heart as this is one of the first books that I read on Wattpad.

This is honestly one of my favourite books and even though I read this book a few years ago I can still remember exactly what happens in the book.

Chris and Holly have a teacher-student relationship but there is a lot that Holly doesn't know about him and his past.

I loved the build of the relationship between Chris and Holly and with all the other characters involved like Casey, Lance, Jeremy and Holly's mum it gave the book a lot more humour and made the book more entertaining to read.

The only reason why I didn't give this book five stars even though I love it, is because of the grammatical errors, even though you can understand what is written it is still annoyed me slightly. but the book is so amazing I would read it a million times.

I read this a few years ago, and I have read it again about 5 times, along with the sequel. This is probably my favorite Wattpad book and I love it. I love the plot twists, and even though you can predict some of them, SOME you don’t expect at all. I love how you can see Holly and Chris’ relationship slowly build up and see how Chris reacts to his past decisions and the decisions he has to make now. I sometimes cannot stand Holly’s personality and her excessive innocence, but Chris’ character, being so different from Holly’s, contrasts it almost perfectly and makes it bearable. I love this book, and if you like romance and drama, I strongly recommend this.

P.S. I want a Jeremy in my life :’)

This was a great book story line was so different from the typical Teacher Student Relationship, that being said I did enjoy this book a lot I felt that Holly The main character was a little immature in parts of the book, and calling him Mr Heywood even after they were together was annoying but all that aside I loved the book and I would read it again!

this fic was fully written by a 12 year old in 2010 and yet i still read it at least once a year since i was in middle school. ignoring all the cringey stuff, the problematic plot line, bad spelling and grammar, it is the best comfort book that brings me back to my wattpad peak days and i find it so much more enjoyable than some real published books by adult authors🥰

Read this for the nostalgia & easy romance. Bought the book YEARS ago, after I’d read the sequel first on Wattpad (was 5000% a Wattpad girlie when I was 14 hehe).

Full of romance book cliches, every one just piling on top of eachother & making some lighthearted, good soup.

Just wish there was even just an e-book of the two sequels lmao.

This is one of my all time favorite wattpad stories! I love that i have a physical copy of it! I can't wait until she gets the next two books published! The story is a little bit different than the wattpad version and it makes me a little bit sad, but it will be one of my favorite stories!!!

Ohh holly molly! Why do you have to b so clumsy nd all. Are your besties floor, wall etc.? HAHA Your clumsiness's really getting n ma nerves. But well, that's your char and you're doing a great job.

About your PR with Chris. Actually Chris reminded me of someone i bet others too. Way back in college we also have this professor from philosophy deprt tho. Just like Chris hes oozing with sex appeal. Damn hot-ish. :) Too bad never been his student. Odds wernt n my favor.

I think what dy're feeling for each other s acceptable unless Chris will become much older than Holly. Let's say 15 years age difference. That would b gross already. But still student-teacher relationship will always be a big NO. So, that makes their relationship complicated. Yet interesting. The more it's forbidden, the more you'll be tempted to break the rules right

The story s more than interesting... Lots of action. This gang thing s really giving an impression. Wd all d good looking bad boys lead. Don't you love it? Handome. Dark. Dangerous. Funny too. esp Jeremy. Love his char. Of course Chris too. Who wouldn't be? Come to think about it--- a stunningly handsome ex-gangster who became a respected bio teacher. With his cocky attitude, its nevee been boring. Even though hes a tease (esp to Holly) and mean enough to make the mean girls run for their money, deep inside he's a person with kind heart and who would do anything for the one he loves.

It's cute everytime they make each other jealous esp Chris. What a childish thing to do for a teacher. Haha Obviously they're really into each other. The question s who will have d courage to confess first? Holly pepperoni. Yes, holly did. I want to buy her some embarrassment. To add Chris ddnt return her confession. Ugh. Confession of a broken heart? Haha Chris actually told her to reconfess again on her 18th birthday. I see his point because we all know holly's still a teenager. But i know you also think it's just wrong to ask a girl to do that ryt. Confessing s more enough of an embarrasmnt already. Awkward too. Good luck girl.

Good gracious. On her 18th it was Chris who told Holly he loved her. Feels. It was all perfect but the kiss ws interrupted. Better luck next time. Thanks Jer and mom.

At the end, it was shawn-free. I hope hes really n jail. But wers the fun? If all of the bad guys n jail already. Let's see on d 2nd book.

One of the romantically highlight momnts-- outside the hosptl. Perfect moment after all d almost death experienced nd saving. Chris finally kissed Holly. I considered it their first kiss as n kisssss since d first two... either one of dm s unaware. Take note: holly's still 17 dt time. Chris couldn't have waited any longer ryt. Pedophile narcississt. HAHA kidding.
