This was the favourite book of my childhood and remains so today. A wonderful account of the golden age of exploration in the deep ocean.

Written in 1980, this book is a classic read on the exploration of the ocean. There is a great deal of text, but I enjoyed the fantastic photos of the variety of the sea's diverse ecosystem.
