More information on eye of mikhael, seven ghost. And also I finally meet Hakuren. He does look good in the manga too! I forgot how he and Teito always fight even for a small things.

We also see a bit development on Teito and Frau relationship (damn Frau is so sexy cough). Him with his 'uniform' is just cleansing my eyes.

It seems that the plot continue to thicken and unveil a bit. I have a hard time to remember some parts, but it was so good ngl.

"Those who can't forgive are the same as the darkness."

Frau is the best. I am also growing increasingly fond of... Hakuren, was it? Teito's new roommate and rival? The plot is getting a bit clearer, and I'm really glad about that.

i think things are getting less confusing? maybe? i don't think i could explain the world to you but i'm getting a decent handle on who's who!

thinking it over, it's not as overcrowded as i feel it is, it's more ichihara doesn't use enough white space so it always feels like too much's going on regardless of whether it is. art: important in manga! who knew?

but hey, teito is reasonably likeable so i can roll with it. sad to lose mikage though, he seemed like a sweetheart. idk why authors gotta keep writing friendships i really like with characters who've died

so yeahhhh. i've got volume three on me, let's see if i can get to the point of being able to explain this series to someone. 3 stars

Despite the fact that the character I liked (Mikage) died in this volume, there was more development on the church and church life...also the introduction of a new friend for Teito, Hakuren. Details on this world's creator (God) and the evil entity (Verloren) are still being kept in a lot of mystery...but one wonders just what is the relationship between those two higher beings and why they have so much influence over humanity. AND why the Seven Ghosts are living in the world among humans, as they are God's avenging angels...why are they not with God? A lot of questions that one is awaiting answers for!

Never thought it would happen but this manga was a bit of tear-jerker. Which means instant 5 stars. Still very action packed and the story is really coming together. The people who turn these into anime are genius! Looking forward to the next one!

Z nějakého neznámého důvodu mě totiž hrozně moc zasáhlo to, že všude najednou nastal mír. Hlavní hrdina nevykonal pomstu a místo toho svému nepříteli pomohl. :D Jako what? Vážně jsem to nechápala. :D
Obálky vypadají docela hezky, některé dokonce i velmi dobře.

Teito Klein finds the person most precious to him in the world is being stolen away in a nightmare fashion…or is he? His bond with Mikage is tested and brought to a climax in a bittersweet conclusion when he loses his friend, only he finds him once more in a surprising way. Nor is Teito destined to carry on alone or without a plan. Bishops Frau, Castor, and Labrador encourage him to take the next step by taking the bishop’s exam. With a bishop’s pass, Teito will be able to go wherever he wishes…including back to District 1 to make Ayanami answer for what he’s done. Can Teito trust the bishops, though? They all have secrets, even Frau, who claims to want to protect him. (Not to mention Frau acts more like a delinquet teenager than a bishop much of the time.) Plus training to be part of the clergy is nothing like training to be part of the militia and he’s got a relative of one of the most annoying students from the academy studying right along with him. Nor are these the least of his problems with danger creeping up on the church in a series of murders, which may be connected to Ayanami’s agents. For if Teito isn’t willing to come to him, Ayanami will come after him.

The story with Mikage was beautiful, tragic, and ended on a bizarrely hopeful note. As opposed to his stubborn cheer in the face of Teito’s ebbing sulleness, Hakuren Oak looks like he’s be more of a rival, yet not the spoiled bully Shuuri Oak was. Hakuren possesses Shuuri’s arrogance, but he doesn’t have the petty meaness. Layers are already started to emerge from beneath his veneer of smugness. Frau continues to deepen his bond as a mentor and protector to Teito in moments of silliness and/or sweetness. The mystery about the three bishops deepens, along with the mystery of Ayanami, whom Frau, Castor, and Labrador are discovering has powers he shouldn’t possess, powers they recognize. Ayanami deploys his team to weave a web in which to trap Teito. The team drop eerie hints about their own powers as they close in upon their prey, adding to an ambience of almost gothic horror at times. For doing all of this in a vibrant, attractive art style which evoles the magical and menacing, I give this four stars.

Still an enjoyable series.

Frau can take the form of a Reaper, Zehel (one of the seven ghosts) and somehow his powers are connected to Ayanami. Sirens (like mythical ghost women) help seal the church grounds when in danger, they block off the battle between Teito and Mikage. Mikage does not survive the fight, having apparently been infected with something similar to a Kor due to Ayanami’s influence. No worries though as he is reincarnated as a small pink dragon that follows Teito now. During the fight, Teito gets a control collar placed on him, this limits his powers but somehow connects him with Frau. It cannot be removed unless they go to the army to get it removed.

It is confirmed that Teito is from Raggs and has the eye if Mikhail embedded within his hand. It is said that whoever wields the eye is destined to either be a guardian angel or the angel of darkness. Teito is relatively unaware of this. He wants revenge on the army but the church convinces him to be a bishop instead, and that revenge will get him nowhere. He begins training and we learn more lore on Verloren (now, Death God) and how he killed the Chief of Heaven’s daughter. It’s also revealed that the army has sent a spy to infiltrate the bishop training and they have already killed a guard.

Hakuren Oak is introduced, now a rival and roommate to Teito. He is related to the bully Shuuri.

Bastian, the training Bishop is introduced.

What's life without a few deaths, huh? Okay nobody cares about deaths of random NPCs but, those close to the main character? That hits hard.

Teito is continuing his life in the church which in hindsight is not that bad because he had prior experience. Here, we get to see future friendship budding between the Oak brat and Teito....and also probably mentor-mentee relationship between Teito and pervert bishop.

So yeah, I'm digging it.

It's really hard to follow what's going on in this manga. I can't tell the characters apart, either, so it's hard to see if the extreme sinister closeup is of one of the "heroes" or of one of the "villains". The action/fight scenes are hard to follow, too. The art is nice, but I feel like simpler art would make it easier to keep track of who is who and what's actually happening in a scene.

Expands into the role of the 7 ghosts, and reminisces about the lost bromance of Teito and Mikage. Definitely slowed down from the first volume. I may have a slight aversion to this due to the idea of demon possession, reminding me of D-Gray Man.

This is the second installation in the 07-Ghost series. Teito-Klein is still at the Barsburg Church with the Bishops, learning about the battle between light and dark. His best friend, Mikage, was possessed by evil, his soul taken from him. Teito swears revenge, but the Bishops try to reason with him.

I don't want to include spoilers, but the little dragon that's introduced in this is the cutest thing ever. My boyfriend probably got fed up of me going on about it so much. I just found the whole idea of it coming along after Mikage's death so damn adorable.

Again, I got pretty lost at times. This volume maybe wasn't quite as confusing as the first, but it was still pretty all over the place (in my opinion). I think the art could be clearer and easier to follow - though I do love the art style. And it was easy enough to at least get the general gist of, so that's good.

I'm hoping the next volumes will become even easier to follow. I like the idea and everything though so I think 3 stars is reasonable.

A battle between Mikage and Teito continues and Frau comes to the rescue in order to save Teito. However Mikage dies from only having half a soul and Teito is crushed that he couldn't be saved and vows revenge. It is later revealed that Mikage has been reborn as a really cute little animal that just wants to stay by Teito's side. Castor then poses the proposition of Teito becoming a Bishop in order to move around freely and gain power.

This volume was packed full of emotion and action and I couldn't read fast enough to keep up with everything. More is revealed about the 7 ghosts and some information is revealed about the Eye of Mikhail. I loved Mikage's character and was so sad to see him die but when he was reincarnated into a very cute animal (in my opinion). A little more detail is given about the church and overall this is setting up nicely for everything to unfold but I expect to be hanging after each volume which leave me wanting more and more.

Okay, so this volume made me cry. It's much better than the last one in terms of pacing, though there are still some issues with panels not being clear. I still have to turn the page a few ways to see exactly what's happening. I still love Mikage, Frau and Teito. Hakuren, the newest addition is interesting. I'm not sure yet if I should like him or not.

I like the way Frau treats Teito, too. He might call him a bratty kid all the time, but there are tender moments where it's clear he cares. But why? I can't wait to find out more.

Sadly the volume I purchase is already falling apart. The bottom half of the spin wasn't glued together and the cover and pages have pulled away from each other. It's brand new, too!

I'm finding this story hard to get into. The plot is somewhat scattered; things happen and seem to drift off. I'm not really sure where the bad guys are coming from or why. However, I like the characters. The two Bishops are a lot of fun and their bickering with each other makes them my favourite, even above the main characters. Teito is interesting as well and I like him; he;s real having both fear and attitude. I'm going to give this series one more volume to see if it hooks me as I'm intrigued. But if volume 3 doesn't get the plot onto more of an even keel for me, I'll put the series aside as not my thing.

Again really awesome!

Confusion didn`t really decreased, there are just new mysteries to discover. What about this Verloren? And what are the Seven Ghosts doing in a church living amongst humans?
Everybody is interested in this Eye of Mikhail... What exactly is ist?

The part with the little animal and Mikage is so cute. This really affected my feelings.
And Frau and Teito... I just love this two! They`re an adorable couple. The business with the collar is so amusing, loved that part!
I am curious how the relationship with Hakuge evolves, will they become friends? And what about this Exam Teito will take part in to become a bishop?
I am eager to find out!

I found this manga really interesting, but i found that the anime which is based on the first 4 volumes has more detail than the manga.. I found this strange. Watching the anime caused me to want to read the manga again because the first time i had only read the first 5 volumes I think the others hadn't come out yet.

I won't go into details about the plot because i might confuse other readers, I believe it better for them to read it on their own. Believe me anyone who likes manga with comedy, drama, fighting, etc. should give this manga a read.

In this book we get more of the battle between Ayanami/Mikage and Teito. I really love this second installment of the series because we get many surprises and emotive moments in which you may find yourself in the verge of crying. More character development takes place in this book, but it is necessary for the story. Don't worry, it gets better! We also get to know more about the three bishops that for some reason find themselves taking care of Teito. Why? Read the book to find out! :)
