Pampel′s book offers readers the first "nuts and bolts" approach to doing logistic regression through the use of careful explanations and worked-out examples. This book will enable readers to use and understand logistic regression techniques and will serve as a foundation for more advanced treatments of the topic.
This is an excellent book—everything one needs to conduct applied economics or other social science empirical work using the simplest discrete choice models. It’s easy to read, packed with useful examples, and user-friendly. Highly recommended.
I reached for the book primarily because of the chapter on interpretations, but ended up devouring the whole thing. It is highly accessible, full of examples and illustrations. Great job by the author! (review of the revised edition)
