I always enjoy reading about ASPD and Psychopathic characters who find their one, so I was pretty excited for Wolfgang. Going into the story, I had no idea how Wolfe’s story was going to unfold, but I trust Grae Bryan.
We meet Wolfe in Johann. He’s a psychopath, but he is close with Jay and, despite his less than charming personality, views him as a close friend. He had plans regarding Jay and their den, but fated mates seemed to have derailed them.
Eric is a doctor working at the local hospital; he’s gotten a bit of a sleazy and slutty reputation as he’s quick to hit on and has slept with coworkers, and in small towns, word gets around. However, deep down, he’s lonely, seeks validation and affection, and is pretty needy. We learn that this stems from his childhood and with the main cause being his mother but for Wolfe, that’s not a negative; rather, he’s thankful for the way Eric is and uses it to his advantage.
I loved how Wolfe picked up on Eric’s neediness and loved that about him. He wants Eric to be needy and desire him. It takes a moment for Eric to realize his old life is no more, but when he sees that Wolfe will burn down and kill for him, he’s conflicted for a moment but comes to love it. For once in his life, someone cares for him, putting him as their priority.
I liked how Wolfe never changed, even after finding his mate. He’s still who he is personality wise, but now Eric has become the most important thing in his life. His mate, his darling, his everything. I love how possessive he is over him and the use of those pet names...made my heart melt. And while he may not have the same capacity to love, his actions and words show how important Eric is to him.
I loved seeing everyone together. I’ve come to adore all the characters of this series, so seeing them all pop up in each book makes my heart all warm and fuzzy. I love the way they created a little family, their own den together. I would love to see Wolfe and Eric go camping with the crew; that would be hilarious.
Overall I really enjoyed Wolfgang. No surprises because I love this series so much and enjoy Grae Bryan’s writing. I am already excited about the next book; it’s the final one but Colin and the vampire twins? That will be exciting! I was hoping he would be brought into the vampire fold.

I didn’t like this one as much as the last few books but it still had its moments. Eric was already introduced through the first and second book, he is known to be a flirt who likes to sleep around. But underneath that act he’s really just lonely with no one to turn to. Then Wolfgang (Wolfe) shows up, he was introduced in the last book. At first I didn’t like him because he was mean to precious Jay. But his cold approach soon made a lot more since when Jay claimed that he was a psychopath, which Wolfe agreed to.
It was nice to finally get a peek inside his mind and It’s made clear that he lacks empathy and remorse. Or at least he did until he found Eric. 👀 Eric feels a lot more emotion than him and since they are meant to be mates, Wolfe constantly tries to match him. He tries to make sense of what Eric is feeling in order to care for him. And this leaves Erid baffled because no one has ever cared for him before. They are both complicated characters, I was a little shocked since this is meant to be my low effort reading vampire series. But there’s some depth here. At the beginning of the book Eric and Wolfe didn’t seem like a great pair but they actually have more in common than I thought. Eric tends to also be lacking some empathy for others, he can also be a bit selfish. And that’s just because he’s never had to care for anyone but himself. In a way, they complete each other. And even though I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the last, I can't deny that it was definitely intriguing to follow Wolfe and Eric.

Dr. Monroe was not particularly likeable in the previous books. He came across as a snooty, careless manwhore. I knew redeeming Eric Monroe would not be an easy task, but I think the author managed quite well.
Eric is the child of a narcissist, and no matter what he's achieved, it's never enough for his controlling, overbearing mother. Eric flirts and sleeps around because he's desperate for affection and reassurance.
Mind you, he's a bit freaked out when Wolfgang, in a misguided attempt at courting, begins leaving roses on his doorstep, but he still dutifully puts the flowers in a vase.
Then Wolfgang dials it up a notch ... strike that, a few hundred notches, and turns Eric without his consent. As Wolfe would undoubtedly say, needs must.
Wolfe is a psychopath (but not a serial killer); as he ever helpfully explains, all serial killers are psychopaths, but not all psychopaths are serial killers (important distinction!).
Initially, Eric refuses to bond with Wolfe, which doesn't go well, but Danny is there to, uh, explain things, namely that the secret to bonding is fucking as often as possible.
Of course, Wolfe is more than happy to satisfy. He worships Eric and, in a very stoic, logical fashion, tells Eric over and over that he's perfect for Wolfe, and because Wolfe is perfect, Eric is too.
There's no real plot in this story besides a child vampire on the loose, but that felt more like an aside and didn't offer any real suspense.
Additional random thoughts:
Wolfe threatening Eric's mother filled me with a deep satisfaction. That bitch deserved all the bad karma.
The entire gang of old-school vamps and their humans (cum newbie vamps), including Luc and Jamie, coming together was an endearing and hilarious (if somewhat gratuitous) scene.
I adored Daphne and Sybil, Wolfe's "moms." They stole the show once they showed up in Wolfe's house and started to flirt with Eric (Wolfe was not having it obviously).
Also, hello, Wolfe is my spirit animal:

i would like to start this review with a probably embarrassing fact? it’s best to get it out of the way.
wolfgang is a real name????? who was going to tell me??? i legitimately thought it was a weird ass made up name. who looks at a baby’s face and goes “yeah looks like a wolfgang” are you okay???
now, the book.
i liked it a lot. it’s a little behind roman, but it’s close.
i loved, as predicted, wolfgang. my sweet babygirl. the funniest thing is that grae thanks onley james for the psychopath inspiration and it’s been scientifically proven (by nobody) that onley doesn’t really portraits psychos very well.
grae, however, did flawless work. it’s damn good. sure, the fated mate thing helps, but still. wolfy didn’t get around declaring love and shit. he was still true to himself, he just cares about his possessions.
“I’d massacre legions to fuck you.”
this is what i mean when i say poetry.
eric, i liked him bc i kept thinking about eric from the little mermaid and he’s my favorite prince so yeah.
no but really, i also liked him for him, but he had an advantage.
i just wish we got to see more of his neediness when things were going well.
loved the plot. i loved that it’s so different from the others and i was going feral at the beginning, wolfy was scary and endearing at the same time.
but the last part was a teeny tiny bit flat. and that’s why i can’t give this 5 stars (yet. anything can happen when i will reread it.)
now, the next one. i vaguely remember the twins but i remember absolutely nothing about colin. well, i do remember that colin is a great book by cora rose that i enjoyed a lot, but that’s another series by another author so i feel like they’re completely unrelated. (yes, i’m joking, i’m not THAT dumb)
i also feel like we won’t get some twin on twin action, a shame.
since we’re talking about the next book we have to address a serious issue. actually, it’s a catastrophe. the next book is the last of this series???? what the hell will i do in my free time??? there will be a spin off right??? i think i might need at least another 28 books in this series. that might be enough. grae, seriously you cured my vampirephobia that twilight gave me, please hear me out. you can write more. you can, you know that you can.
after this embarrassingly long and embarrassing in general diary entry? mindless words? nonsense thoughts? because i refuse to call this a review, i’ll go cry for this sad news. ignore me when i aggressively reread this series.

Wolfgang is the most complex, unique, and fascinating character so far in this series. I love how much time you spend in his POV to learn his particular mindset. I particularly enjoyed how smitten and awe-struck his reaction to Dr. Monroe is, which goes against his prepared and rigid demeanor.
I was initially curious as to how their initial meeting resulted in such dramatic results and their story does not disappoint. I loved how Wolfe and Eric are so captivated by one another, but due to their violent initial first meeting, the author chose to take a slower route, where Eric could warm up to Wolfe's intense personality and overall quirks.
I also love the Hannibal influences on Wolfe's character, from his wardrobe and design aesthetic to his denial of having any feelings other than possession. Wolfe has an intriguing POV due to his intense technical and emotionally distant mindset, which gets upended once he meets his mate.
Overall Eric and Wolfe have a unique, devoted, and primal relationship. I enjoyed how Eric's outward confidence covers up his lonely, touch-starved complex, while he evens out Wolfe's neurotic tendencies. They are quite a pair and I loved getting their story. Their relationship is probably tied with Danny and Roman as my favorites, I love a strong possessive MC, and Wolfe perfectly encapsulates that.

¿Qué voy a hacer si me lo paso yo bien sola leyendo estas novelas? En serio, en momentos de bajón dan la vida.
No negaré que le tenía las expectativas demasiado bajas porque el protagonista no es que fuese de mis favoritos. Sin embargo, no me ha parecido tan mala novela, incluso me ha gustado más como pareja que el libro de Lucien.
En fin, ¿que la historia tiene mil defectos y es demasiado simple? Sí. ¿Los personajes se enamoran a las 30 páginas? También. ¿Qué a pesar de todo me da igual y me lo paso como una niña pequeña? Absolutamente.

I wasn't sure if I'd like Wolfgang. I didn't like Eric from the encounters we get with him in previous books. And I'm over the whole 'psychopath who can't love' from that Onley James series (it got old). But I shouldn't have doubted Grae Bryan because I loved this book. She did the psychopath aspect of this romance perfectly.
This was also a kind of breath of fresh air for this series format. Eric gets turned into a vampire before he even has a meet-cute with Wolfe. Well, maybe Wolfe turning Eric was the meet-cute.
Book six seems to be the finale for this series, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

I was enjoying this but then I got to the end and was like, is that it?
Nothing happened!
The one part I thought would be interesting, seeing Wolfe and Eric raise a kid, and the kid gets fobbed off on some randoms...
I do like the relationship with Wolfe and Eric, and I actually enjoyed how their mate bond came about, but yeah I feel like nothing really happened except Eric becoming a vampire and Wolfe decorating a room, not even a whole house! 🤔
I am looking forward to the Tucson twins though, I've wanted their book since Lucien.

Surprisingly good, seeing as I didn’t like Eric in the past books. Or Wolfe, either.
Admittedly, Wolfe seemed like the more interesting character between the two of them - and the book starts around the same time where the last one ended: Wolfe accidentally turning Eric into a vampire.
Eric is Wolfe’s mate, that much is sure for Wolfe - and he tries to woo him, first from a distance, then by compelling Eric’s massage therapist to change places with him.
He wants a taste, and ends up turning Eric.
It was fun, seeing all the other couples again. And I loved Wolfe’s possessiveness towards Eric. What came as a surprise: Eric’s quick acceptance not only of the existence of vampire, but fated mates, too. I mean - it’s a romance, I’m not talking things too seriously, but somehow I missed a real connection between Eric and Wolfe. Yes, we told they’re in love, but smh I didn’t quite feel it, or the butterflies. They’re definitely good for each other and complement each other, too. It’s just not that big romance, that bone melting attraction between them that I’d hoped for.
On top of that, while we’ve been given a bit of background for Wolfe, the same can’t really be said about Eric. Yes, his mum is a bitch, but why was he such a doormat for her? Why did he hook up so frequently before Wolfe? I’d loved to know more about him.
Still - a very good addition to the series, that shouldn’t be read as a standalone for full enjoyment ☺️
Admittedly, Wolfe seemed like the more interesting character between the two of them - and the book starts around the same time where the last one ended: Wolfe accidentally turning Eric into a vampire.
Eric is Wolfe’s mate, that much is sure for Wolfe - and he tries to woo him, first from a distance, then by compelling Eric’s massage therapist to change places with him.
He wants a taste, and ends up turning Eric.

Another cracking good vampire fated mates romance
I love this series from Grae. Even though each ome has the same basic premise of fated mates, the execution of the narrative has been different with each pairing.
Here it's the turn of everyone's favourite psychopath Wolfgang, who's beastie has taken a shine to Doctor Eric Monroe, who has a reputation that isn't necessary earned.
Poor Eric, once we get to find out a bit more about him it's clear he's a lonely guy who doesn't feel like he's worth much, thanks to his horrible upbringing.
Wolfe, on the other hand, might be the most arrogant one of all the vampires we've met so far, and unashamedly so.
One thing he definitely is though, is Eric's mate and he wastes no time in turning him. Of course, it takes time to work out the little niggles that come from suddenly waking up undead and Eric's not happy for a while.
There's the same amount of gentle humour that's been present throughout the series, coupled with the more overtly hilarious fratching between the rest of the vampire den's "alpha" males and I found myself chuckling a lot.
There's an interesting side plot here I won't spoil, but I found it completely engaging.
The sexy times are scorching hot of course, as needy Doctor meets uber possessive vampire!
Now we just have one more to go snd I cannot wait for that!

I'm not gonna lie. This was bordering very close to a two-star rating for the majority of my time reading; it was impossible not to overlook the way in which Wolfgang 'turned' Eric, a definite sign of a toxic red flag if there ever was one. 🙂↔️🙂↔️ And yet, I'm gonna give the author props for creating two characters with personalities and characteristics that allowed their dynamic to work, thus convincing me that their relationship was not one that could be seen as an unhealthy one, when in fact, they actually compliment one another. And for the writing to convince me of that, is enough for my rating to go up, ever so slightly so. 🙂↕️
“You overwhelm me, Eric wanted to say. How much you seem to want me for no reason overwhelms me.”
For the majority of the book is very much centered around their smexy steamy moments - like, a lot. A lot that I didn't think there was much plot to it, besides that one hastily-included scenario of a child vampire, which, I'm assuming will be discussed in more detail in the next installment. 🤷🏻♀️ But, even as Wolfe was determined to make Eric enjoy his time with him, as their intimacy developed deeper, I began to understand - in even the slightest sense - why their relationship was working. 🥺
Because for someone like Eric who was known for sleeping his way through the majority of the masses, and never really having a deep bond with anyone, here comes along someone with his declaration of love in the only languages he seemed to know: violence and obsession' and who is more than happy to fulfill that desire of being with someone in the most intimate and personal level.
That dawning of realization had me overlook the quickness in which Eric dismissed the way Wolfe forced him into submission as his fated mate - had me forgive how Wolfe still grated on me at times for how unrepentant and insistent he was in his fierce desire for holding onto Eric and denying him time with anyone but him, as his desperation for connection, would make their act of bonding that much sweeter and intense. 🤨❤️🔥
“If you don’t trust how I feel about you, pet, trust how I feel about myself. You are my perfect match. My mate. So no, you aren’t a scumbag, or useless, or defective in any way, no matter what you may have been raised to believe. You are, by very definition, perfect.”

Has him feeling something for the first time, which has him act out without --- what's the word, thinking? 🤔 Or without comprehending the consequences of his actions.
So, if Eric is stunted in his longing for a real connection, thus seen as a slutty sleazeball, it was Wolfe, stunted in his emotional growth, thus, leading him to be treated as an apathetic psychopath, that finally learns what it means 'to be compelled by such whims as affection, devotion, love.' It's like meets like - maybe for different reasons - but with just enough of the right taste to get the blood pumping and overflowing for more. 🥲

Sorry, that this was a rationale explanation rather than a review, but I just needed to clear the air to understand my reasoning behind the rating. Because, it was a struggle to care for either of them at the start, difficult to overlook Wolfe's approach to drawing his bond with Eric. 😶🌫️ But once I started to see how Eric was longing for someone to really care for him, and how Wolfe's psycho possessiveness, albeit an eager one, was the imperfect ideal for him - it was easy to allow myself to feel some sort of comfort and affection in how the way they expressed their loved softened their own inner insecurities and flaws to finally be the true mates they were destined to be. 🫶🏻

I don’t know why I ever skipped this one when I was binging the series last year but damn I was really missing out! We’ve met Wolfgang in Johan and I didn’t really care for him then because he seemed like an asshole. Turns out Wolfgang is in-fact an asshole but with a soft spot for Eric! We’ve also met Eric or he was known as the doctor in Soren’s book who slept around and he fed off of so it kinda all came full circle. The whole Wolfgang being a psychopath didn’t really work imo, he just seemed more self serving…idk if that’s a thing? But I didn’t really believe him being that murdery 😆
Anyways it’s my reading goal in 2025 to finish series I’ve started and I’m happy to say I’m finally finished with Grae Bryan’s Vampire Series!
I still loved Collin the most with the hot ginger daddy twins!

I'm sorry unpopular opinion but this was my least favorite book in the series. I never warmed up to Wolf, he was very unlikable to me. I liked the idea of the vampire child plot, but it really went nowhere. I was a bit bored toward the end. High hopes for the final book though.

I enjoyed Eric's character more than I thought I would after his introduction in previous books, but Wolfgang was a bit of a disappointment to me. I know he's a psychopath, but I felt like that was his entire personality. It would have been nice to see another side to him other than his possessiveness over Eric. They didn't have enough chemistry for that to work without any other sides to the dynamic, in my opinion. I wasn't very invested in their relationship at all, sadly.
Eric was definitely the highlight of this book for me. I do love a self-deprecating character with a lack of social skills. I'd almost say he seems emotionally immature, but he's really not. He acts slutty and he knows people don't like him much, but he knows about it, and why he is the way he is and acts the way he does. His parents are emotionally absent and verbally abusive, so he went looking for comfort and physical intimacy from as many strangers as possible, even if it only lasted a couple of hours at most.
"Because what did it matter if he was desperate, or cheesy, or smarmy? Getting rejected 80% of the time was better than never getting accepted at all, right? It wasn't like anyone was going to want to keep him [...]"
"Because he could pretend, just this once. Pretend there was someone out there, wanting to make him feel special. He could pretend he had a person out there, just for him. What could be the harm in that?"
I live for characters like this, so I was a little sad about the lack of connection between Eric and Wolfe. We were told how perfect they were for each other of course, they're fated mates after all, but I wasn't feeling it. That might be my mood, and entirely subjective, but that's my impression right now, anyway. I feel like the other books had such strong character connections, and you could feel the instalove. Grae Bryan has created a really fantastic series, and considering how strong the other books were (especially the one before this, Johann, which is my personal favorite out of them all), this one had a lot to live up to. It probably didn't help that Wolfgang's book was highly anticipated after his appearance in Johann.
It is by no means anywhere close to a bad book, I still enjoyed it a lot, but following such a strong book and with all the expectations, this didn't quite measure up for me.
"If he walked into a room wearing his white coat, everybody acted like he was a God. But that was... worse, somehow. It always made him feel like a fraud. Like one day he was going to slip up and say what was always lurking underneath: I don't care. I don't fucking care. I don't want to talk to you; I don't want to reassure you. I just want to do my job well, and fingers crossed your family member doesn't die. I know I should care more, but I don't."
Eric was a delightfully multifaceted character, and one I bet many can relate to.

Wolfe esta acostumbrado a tener lo que quiere cuando quiere. Así que cuando se topa con su "pareja predestinada" en un pequeño pueblo, debe tenerlo. Pero es un humano, como hacer para que el hombre lo acepte? Como cortejarlo? Y si, quiere cortejarlo un poco. El problema es que su "bestia" lo quiere para ya, y un día decide tomarlo de una vez. Así Eric se ve transformado en vampiro (algo que ni siquiera sabia que existía) viviendo en una enorme casa, y "emparejado" con un vampiro por el que siente una atracción antinatural. Serán ambos capaces de aceptar su unión "predestinada"? Que problemas encontrará Wolfe con el resto de vampiros del pueblo? Eric será capaz de aceptar su nueva identidad?
Este libro fue bastante sencillo, divertido por momento, pero sin mucho drama. El Dr. Monroe (Eric), resulto un personaje mucho mas complejo de lo que habíamos visto antes, pero a la vez mas fácil de complacer que alguno de los otros "nuevos vampiros". Wolfang resulto bastante pragmático, interesante y solido como personaje. Me gusto mucho como el autor desarrollo la relación entre ellos dos. Ahora, el drama con el niño vampiro (muy a lo crepúsculo)? Me pareció fuera de lugar, como para darle un poco mas de profundidad a la trama, y responder (quizás?) alguna de las preguntas de los fans, o tal vez la curiosidad del mismo autor.
En fin, esta entretenida la serie, y quiero ver cual va a ser el otro personaje que va a encontrar su pareja. Me gustaría ver a los gemelos (de la historia de Luc), pero ya veremos que nos trae el autor en el próximo libro.

Once again, Grae Bryan proves that redemption arcs with morally grey characters can be so very fun to read. These characters are not who I expected to get a book about, given how they were introduced, but *Wolfgang* was such a blast to read and Bryan made it work beautifully.
While Dr. Eric Monroe has hovered on the periphery of previous books, generally seen trying to pick up anyone in sight, Wolfgang burst into the scene as a potential antagonist for Jay in the previous book. Immediately described as having psychopathic tendencies, Wolf proves to be someone who gets what he wants with little thought to the consequences. Seemingly it is these traits that are behind his reasons for claiming and turning the man he claims is his mate. What is so fascinating about this book is that we finally see these events from Wolf’s perspective, and that, unlike the other couples, Eric is turned before he has any idea who Wolf is let alone getting to know him. It’s kind of like a fabulous vampiric arranged marriage trope and I was so curious how this would pan out for the couple.
What we end up seeing is two characters who have so much more depth to them once they are the protagonists. Eric, who appeared to be shallow and somewhat annoying previously, is now revealed as a man with deep uncertainty of his own worth and deeply starved for affection and touch. Wolf, who absolutely made me clutch my pearls more than once with his somewhat…interesting moral compass is the perfect complement to what Eric needs and I very much believed and rooted for this couple’s HEA. Wolf is possessive and insistent in, what I would call typical for a fated mates trope, but it was really swoony to see how he keenly observed and identified exactly what his mate needed and drew Eric into his field of intense focus. I really enjoyed the way Bryan, once again, managed to put a bit of a spin on some of our favourite tropes.
With more cameos from our previous couples, a lovely and heartstring pulling side story to keep them all occupied, this book was a 5 star read for me! I’m SO excited to read Colin’s story next!

Once again, Grae Bryan proves that redemption arcs with morally grey characters can be so very fun to read. These characters are not who I expected to get a book about, given how they were introduced, but *Wolfgang* was such a blast to read and Bryan made it work beautifully.
While Dr. Eric Monroe has hovered on the periphery of previous books, generally seen trying to pick up anyone in sight, Wolfgang burst into the scene as a potential antagonist for Jay in the previous book. Immediately described as having psychopathic tendencies, Wolf proves to be someone who gets what he wants with little thought to the consequences. Seemingly it is these traits that are behind his reasons for claiming and turning the man he claims is his mate. What is so fascinating about this book is that we finally see these events from Wolf’s perspective, and that, unlike the other couples, Eric is turned before he has any idea who Wolf is let alone getting to know him. It’s kind of like a fabulous vampiric arranged marriage trope and I was so curious how this would pan out for the couple.
What we end up seeing is two characters who have so much more depth to them once they are the protagonists. Eric, who appeared to be shallow and somewhat annoying previously, is now revealed as a man with deep uncertainty of his own worth and deeply starved for affection and touch. Wolf, who absolutely made me clutch my pearls more than once with his somewhat…interesting moral compass is the perfect complement to what Eric needs and I very much believed and rooted for this couple’s HEA. Wolf is possessive and insistent in, what I would call typical for a fated mates trope, but it was really swoony to see how he keenly observed and identified exactly what his mate needed and drew Eric into his field of intense focus. I really enjoyed the way Bryan, once again, managed to put a bit of a spin on some of our favourite tropes.
With more cameos from our previous couples, a lovely and heartstring pulling side story to keep them all occupied, this book was a 5 star read for me! I’m SO excited to read Colin’s story next!

I was a little nervous to start this book because Wolfgang had some catching up to do to become a loved MC and it’s not like Dr. Monroe has the best reputation as well… 🤪
Can’t say that it was love at first sight either, at least not for Eric! 😅
But it doesn’t matter because they ended up being exactly what each other needs…
Wolf and Eric just made a lot of sense together. 🥰
And they were so funny! (even without meaning to 😂) I laughed a lot and had a very good time with them…
I was also very happy to see everyone else too, the whole dysfunctional family gathered under the same roof! 😍

I barely made myself finish this
My main problem was that I didn't care for both characters and they were frankly not that fleshed out.
There was also no discernable plot in the book and I found myself very bored and putting the book down alot. A 200 page book took me DAYS to finish.
So yeah..
This didn't work for me at all.

Boring and unlikable mcs. Yikes. I am so frustrated that this did not work out for me. I hated the premise and all that. I did not feel the romance part just weird vampire that needs to shut up.

I just looooved this book, possibly my most favorite one in this series yet.
The author mentioned that the inspiration of this came from reading the necessary evils series by onley james, but this was wayyy better imo. I mean, that series was good too but it was too sweet and ott for me. this book on the other hand, pressed all my buttons and I'm head over heels in love with the characters and hyde park.
Can't wait for the 6th book!

I’ve got a thing for truly psychopathic main characters apparently because Wolfe’s brand of possessiveness was awesome. I was on the fence about Eric as a character, but he did end up fitting with Wolfe ok. I liked that their codependency worked for them. Would have liked to get to know Eric beyond his insecurities more.

Daddy Wolfe is a missed opportunity! He would've been an awkward, constantly irritated father. 🤣
3.5 stars + .5 star for the appearance of the whole "den" and my favorite sassies.❤️ Also, that short scene of exhibitionism and voyeurism was unexpectedly hot. 👌
I didn't like both of these characters from the previous books but they grew on me as I read their story. This is the most chill in the whole series what with their cute runaway problem being the only outside complication. Eric and Wolfe's story revolved around the "accidental turning" and "accidental kidnapping" with Eric coming to terms with his new life and Wolfe learning to give his mate space he's not used to giving others. As he said, there had been so many capitulations he had to do for his mate.😁
Beneath the surface, Eric is an insecure and needy person with low self-esteem and having a possessive mate worked well for him. On the other hand, Eric's sentimentality softened Wolfe's edges and tamed a bit of his psychopathic tendencies. A good match, I would say. At the end, I thought there won't be any resolution to Eric's problem with his mother but Wolfe's version of fixing it was very satisfying for me. Classy.
Now, just one last book left and I had been wondering where our asexual Colin is and the weird soulmate/twins so I'm excited to learn Book 6 will be about them!!!

This wasn’t my favorite of the bunch and it kinda felt lackluster in comparison to the rest of the series butttt I did love Wolfgang so all the stars are for him. Eric was okay, I didn’t find him to be as memorable as the rest of the cast but that could be because he was outshined by Wolfe. I still enjoyed reading this. 🙂

Grae has me gobbling up this series and it's just such a comfort read. Wolfgang was pretty comfy, and even gave me some historical romance vibes with Wolfe 😂 Loved the forced proximity, and loved the massage scene. 👀
I'm entirely biased but Jamie and Soren steal the show in every single scene and I adore them. 🥹
But holy shit I need the next book like NOW. I just know I'm gonna love the throuple.
