Now, Ripley's weirdest, wildest, and wackiest facts and phenomena -- as well as brand-new oddities -- are available for kids in one big volume. Packed with full-color photos and illustrations, this easily accessible book is divided into fun categories such as "Critters", "Humans and Superhumans", and "Downright Spooky". And it's all true . . . believe it, or not!
This book is unbelievable and incredible. There were many stories about people that crazy.I couldn't believe most of the story. My favorite story in this book was about a guy who made Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs smaller then the hole of a sewing needle.
This is a great book! It shows history of people from earlier days in life. There are very interesting facts in thise book. I really enjoyed this book a lot. It helped me expand my thoughts about history and the people that were in it...
This book is a fantastic (or grotesque, depending on how you look at it) collection of weird and disgusting things that occur in the natural world. It’s a nonfiction/informational text, and it’s formatted much like a visual encyclopedia, so there’s not really a plotline to summarize. The format of the book is really good, in my opinion, with lots of visual appeal through all the pictures, and concise, well-written, and often funny captions that enhance the reader’s experience with the picture. Its subject matter is also very obviously geared towards teenagers, as its appeal lies in its ability to shock, impress, or horrify the reader with the strange things it presents, providing a Fear Factor-like experience designed to intrigue teenagers. And, because the book is almost entirely based around the photographs and occasional illustrations, it’s more of a book to experience and look at bit by bit, rather than a book to sit down and read all at once in chronological order. All in all, it’s a well-written, well-designed book that should have most teenagers fascinated by at least some if not most of the things it contains. I’d especially recommend it for boys.
When i first looked at the cover, i thought it would be stupid and awesome. Because there was odd things on the cover and a lot of cool looking things on the cover as well, such as the old guy with the two pupils and the other old guy with the mouth and nose trick. In some ways i like this book because it has a lot of spooky stories. My favorite story would have to be the one were the girl has a car crash and the car rolls down the hill and the car lands on a tomb stone with the same name as her. This book has a lot of weired facts too. Another way i dont likt this book because it has a lot of odd houses and animals. I really dont care for a lot of animals and houses. I would like to see more odd spooky stuff. Not a house or a fish.
When i first started this book i thought it was gonna be kindda dumb. as i kept reading it, it was gettin better & better, because all it is really is FACTS about true things that people have seen people do. i would recomend this book to people who like cool & intereating books
Dont get me wrong thought there was some diavanteges about this book. like they talked mostly about houses and animals. Another thing i didnt like about this book was how i wasnt in chapters and stuff. other then that this book was GREAT!
