Mature 18+ for adult situations

Erin is the daughter of a god.
For any other, orphaned as a small child, this would be welcome news.
For Erin, nothing could be worse.

Upon finding an ancient spell book, Erin Doherty is sent spiraling into a realm that she never knew existed—a place where her father, the male who abandoned her, lives like a king, lording over all. And her brother, Soren Vidar, fights to free the worlds from his oppression.

Escorted by her brother’s oldest friend, Jakob Väsen, Erin is welcomed into the home of the fiercest warriors in Soren’s rebellion. There, she joins the males in their crusade to rid their lives of the tyranny that they have long been accustomed to, and in turn, they vow to keep her from becoming yet another weapon in her father’s never-ending arsenal of magic wielders.

With an increasingly desperate need to avenge her father’s wicked deeds, and an overwhelming attraction to Jakob, Erin soon finds herself immersed in a destiny unlike anything she could have ever imagined.

I had the chance to read book one in this series and loved it so much I was excited to read book 2. This is the story of Erin who finds out she is the daughter of a god. Erin has not the best life so this is not good news to her. Especially when she finds out that he father is not a good god but is oppressive and her own brother is trying to fight against him. She finds herself needing to help right the wrongs her father has created. This book is just as good as the first book and I cant wait for more in this series!!

of Erin and Jacob.
Erin's world is turned upside down when she finds out that she is not human but fae.
While being escorted by Jacob into the fae realm, Erin discovers Jacob is her Mate. Will Erin and Jacob defeat their enemy in time?
JD Nelson creates a world of fae and magic.

As a child I always loved Norse mythology, and this book more than awakens that love in my adult life. The Fire Within the Night is the second installment of the Night Aberrations series and it is a wonderful mix of everything the paranormal romance should be. It has magic, mayhem, betrayal, passion, witty and bawdy dialogue and wonderful characters. Author JD Nelson has woven a spectacular world of her own creation into the existing Norse pantheon, and it is an extraordinary read that I couldn't put down. Having read the first book (which is a good idea if you want to start this series), I was delighted when this one was published and am anxious for the next which will make its debut soon. If gods and goddesses, fairies and giants, and all sorts of magical creatures on your fantasy radar, you owe it to yourself to start this series.

An entertaining and fun sequel.
I enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book and discovering new characters as well.
I was disappointed in the relationship between the characters it was just way too fast for me I didn't believe the emotions.
I did like how Erin was strong willed and kick butt but I would've loved if she had more depth and growth.
I would've loved to see more action in the story as well.
Overall not bad and I enjoyed seeing the continued storyline.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.

As with book 1, Night Aberrations, I was immediately drawn in and the entire world around me fell away. I enjoyed The Fire Within the Night just as much if not more than the previous book in this series. J.D. Nelson does a remarkable job yet again! It's intense, fast paced, full of action and adventure and so much more. It's so vividly written that you don't want to leave the world that has been created for your entertainment. I would recommend this to any and everyone!

This is really Jakob and Erin's story, but within the main story where we meet up our friends from the first installment, meet new ones, which Erin is one and also Jakob's true mate, human and from the human realm. We meet Chase who is Erin's best friend but where she is from, who and what she is, comes as quite the surprise! .....and the hits just keep coming from there as we learn who Erin's real parents are which begs the question of What Erin really is!!!
We find out who our beloved wolf boy Nils true mate is, and Kristian goes off to find his true mate in the human realm as soon as he learns of her existence. This of course leaves Jakob and Erin as King and Queen of Suarta'lfahim. In between and all around this the battles continue and war is waged......but nothing can stop the pull of claiming ones mate, so the romance is as plentiful as it is Hot!
I am totally captivated and enchanted with this series and am anxiously awaiting the next installment! So let me ask you.......What would you do for Love?

This is the second book in this series. Wow!! Can you say the fairy world just got HOTTER? Erin found out that her life as a human isn't true at all. When she finds out in an unexpected way, it turns her human world upside down. She turns out to be a very important fey in the fey world. Erin isn't your nice type girl, she likes to tell you like it is. No filter at all on her mouth. Erin finds her true mate very fast and let me tell you they set the bar high in the bedroom. This isn't intended for anyone under 18 to read. Finding out who your parents are in this world sometimes isn't a good thing. They may be the most evil of all. Knowing how evil your parents are, can you be prepared in time to go up against them in battle? You will have to read this story to find out. Loved this amazing world that this author has created.

As book 2 of the series, you can read as a stand alone. I did read book one, but it feels so long ago that its like reading this one without book 1.
We get the story of Erin, and how she comes to be with her mate and learn magic.
This story has all kinds of action, action throughout the entire book. Sexual action, sibling rivalry, group/friend heated disagreements and fighting a war.
Now, fighting the war is short and quick to the point. But that is only because it wasn't a full-out war.
Erin is quite extraordinary, she is just kick-a$$ and I love her.
Jakob, OMG totally hottie. Everyone sees him as such a serious bore, but Erin just brings out the beast in him and he is extremely different.
A definite hot & Steamy read
Highly recommend. But for adult eyes only!!!

I love that this book wasn't an exact continuation of the first in the series. The book introduces a new character, Erin, and her life isn't really what it seems. Erin finds a spellbook and casts a spell that conjures her true mate. That event sends Erin on an epic adventure - one in which she discovers who she really is. The author did an excellent job folding in the characters from book 1, giving the reader more of their backstory as we learn more about Erin and Jakob. I loved the twists regarding Erin's lineage, and I loved all of the supernatural powers that Erin and others possess. This is a fast paced, steamy paranormal romance/action adventure. I can't wait for the third installment in this series!

2nd book in the series and I absolutely loved book 1 so I read book 2 and lllouuuved it! What I love about it is that its not just 1 couple the author brought back characters from the 1st book too! This is Erin and Jakob's story. Erin found out a doozy. Her human life is a lie. Things are changing really fast and well she finds her mate and that she's important in the fae world. Her parents aren't the best and it just goes on. She's a strong character and doesnt seem to have a filter and I love heroines like that! This was quite the adventure! I cant wait for the 3rd to come out! More please! Wowza the sexy times was hawt!

Phenomenal continuation of Emelie and Sorens story. Soren and Jakob are so different in this installment. Soren takes on the brotherly attitude and Jakob becomes so much more endearing. I love this series and cannot wait until the next one is out.

Just like the first I couldn't put it down once I started it.

When I saw this was the 2nd in the series, I was anxious to see where Emelie and Soren would go next...and to my surprise, this book featured two new main characters! Jakob, who we first meet in book one, and a new female protagonist - Erin. I think I may love this book even more than the first one!
