Christy Nelson embarks on her new career in Real Estate by holding her first open house. Entering the wrong house, by accident, she finds the nude sleeping body of a young man.

Navy SEAL Kyle Lansdowne, on a mission to find his AWOL Team buddy, is staying at his buddy’s home while investigating the disappearance. When someone breaks in, he takes protective measures. He doesn’t expect to find that a beautiful young woman is responsible for his teammate’s abduction.

What starts out as a meeting by accident becomes a hot affair neither one is ready for. Kyle is conflicted about getting Christy involved in his mission, but his hand is forced when he learns the same San Diego gang responsible for his teammate’s abduction has kidnapped her.

Battling a cadre of dirty law enforcements hell-bent on getting military equipment, especially state-of-the-art firepower, Kyle is forced to admit that he would die to protect her.

NOTE TO SELF:

Self, this shit is not for you. You've started feeling the itch to skim at only page eight. Why?

"A perfumed late spring breeze blew softly against her face and neck, sending a thrill up her spine."

Attempts to wax poetically about everything from hair plugs, a car, and the air just isn't for you.

"Next to it, a large stainless steel bowl set encrusted with dark green and purple leaves at the bottom, evidence of a salad -- several days old."

EVERYTHING being overly described irritates you.

"His penis stood at attention, like a deep rose-colored light standard under a matching fireman's hat of deeper pink.

You ran & couldn't decide to laugh at her, cry for him, or call Dr. Drew for yourself.

Ok...I love Navy SEALs. Strong, angst ridden military heroes just do it! But this one didn't. I didn't care for the main couple. I didn't care about the team. The plot didn't really make sense to me. The writing didn't impress me. Christy annoyed me to no end...such a whiny, weak woman. She endangers her career, jumps into bed, cries when shes dumped, vows never again, jumps right back into bed, cries again...and so on and then runs away because of a failed love life. Just because she kicks two men in the knees doesn't make her strong. Kyle was just as bad. His supposed best friend and teammate is kidnapped by deadly druglords and he is distracted to the point that his teammates are continually re-directing him. Not a SEAL I'd want on my team. He also runs back to have sex repeatedly; doesn't seem too concerned about about his buddy to me. Additionally, the whole premise of the kidnapping just to get to Kyle doesn't make sense either. There is so much more; I could just keep going. Just didn't like it!

OMG, I finished it. Finally.

This was in turn boring, irritating and stupid. I tried, I really tried especially after the novella intro SEAL Encounter which gave me high hopes for this.

But Christy and Kyle share two one-night stands in a row which shouldn't have happened after Kyle attacked Christy during their first meeting. Christy somehow falls in love with him based on several seconds of pre and post-sex talk. Kyle tried to let her down easy when he dumps but she falls into a crazy suicidal depression.

The entire Armando-dirty cop-gang subplot was BORING and dragged the story out. And that was the SEAL stuff! That should have been the most interesting part!

I have dropped the next books from my to read list based on how much I disliked this.

The premise of the story is good, but it lacked the suspense I was looking for in a romantic suspense read. The hero Kyle Lansdowne is serious and intense and has that vulnerability side that I like in a hero. The heroine Christy Nelson I found to be quite needy and too emotional for my liking. I wanted to feel the connection between them, but even that fizzled a little.

All that being said, I'm looking forward to getting to know more of the other cheeky members of Kyle's SEAL team mates in the following books. Enjoy!

If you don't already know this about me I will spell it out for everyone. I love military reads! Actually I love all men in uniform (hence why I married a cop) but there is just something about a military man. Maybe it's the alpha thing that gets me. There is nothing better than a dominant man that takes charge but deep down, he has a soft heart and a good soul.

Christy has relocated from San Francisco to Sand Diego after her mother had died. She is embarking on a new career as a real estate agent with her first open house. Well, she has a slight mix up with the address and end ups walking into the wrong house where she finds a man sleeping. Naked. Good God is he naked! I really wish I was able to walk in on him myself. ;) After she tries to leave quietly, she is quickly subdued by said naked man. Of course she doesn't go down easy, fighting the whole time. After some discussion, he lets her go. Christy knows her creepy co-worker has set her up for some kind of sick joke. While telling her boss about his idea of a prank, in walks the naked man from the house bearing flowers and her yard signs. She figures out that it was all a misunderstanding and wants to apologize by taking her to lunch the next day. Needless to say things heat up to explosive proportions at the speed of light. I don't blame her though, if a sexy ass naked man tied me up I would be all hot and bothered over him too.

Kyle. Nave SEAL. Tough as nails when it comes to his job but when it comes to Christy, he is putty in her hands. He is taken with her from the word go. He constantly finds himself thinking about her and can't seem to stay away. He needs to stay focused so he is able to find his missing comrade/best friend. He knows if he can't keep his head in the game it could spell disaster for everyone. One thing leads to another and everything seems to be falling apart.

Full of explosive action, gunfire, and lots of heat (in more ways than one) I found myself flipping virtual pages at the speed of light to find out what happens. You know it's a good book when you are reading and you find yourself making faces to go along with the scenes. At one point I was literally biting my nails. Lol. And can I say, I can't wait to read the other teams' books! I really think I need to start making countdown widgets for all these wonderful books coming soon. :)

To tell the truth I didn't even finish this book. I didn't connect to the character and the writing style felt immature to me.

The hero Kyle was the only reason I got as far as I did, though even he seemed a little to clichéd.

The sex scene I read was so mechanical and fake but the final nail in the coffin was the heroine being so completely needy and pathetic after the one night stand.

This book was fake and made no connection with me- which is sad really as I normally love these types of books.

The story continues from the prequel, "SEAL Encounter" where we were introduced to Kyle and his love Christy. Loved this one too, the characters are almost real, the story is interesting, kept me turning the page to find out what happens next. I blame Sharon for not getting enough sleep... :D
I recommend this book, 5 stars all the way. Can't wait to read the next one "Fallen SEAL Legacy", just published yesterday. YAY!

A very poorly written book overall, but surprisingly better the last part of the book. Full of cliches and badly worded similes that were misused in practically every situation....and Christy using "peach" to describe herself? Weird!!!
The characters were unlikeable, shallow, and irritating and the plot line really convoluted. What the hell happened to all the bad guys? No meaningful resolution to the plot..

Don't waste your time or money! Thank goodness this was a freebie!

lmfao, I laughed so many times.

Accidental SEAL was one of those books that I read for a certain reading challenge. Now I definitely laughed so much while listening to this book. Mostly because it was hilarious. Some scenes were so freaking absurd I just couldn't help myself.

Other than that the characters were mostly meh. I honestly didn't care about them or their relationship. I just wanted to see how it was going to end because I couldn't stop laughing. After reading this book, all I'm trying to do is figure out how the mound found the package. Does that mean the mound, aka vagina, is a hunter?

Overall, I'm dying after this book and I can't wait to dive into the next hot mess - AKA book #2.

Reading a Navy SEAL story for me is like a kids allowance. They start with ten bucks and if they don't do the dishes they lose a buck. A SEAL story always starts at a five star for me. If the hero and heroine keep me pinned to the pages that rating will stick. A couple of inconsistencies in this story dropped my rating. The hero a ten year veteran named Kyle is a believable character. Christy on the other hand is viewed as being spicy and tough by Kyle but everything written about her is whiny and teary. The girl needed more spunk. The other thing I noticed was a lot of tell instead of show. The dialogue doesn't really get going for quite a few pages. People just don't gape and stare for that long before ever saying anything. The secondary characters had a good performance, and again I found them to be believable but not brilliant. The love scenes triggered maybe a 4 out of 10 on the "heat the thighs" scale.

Not sure where this author is from or her background but I give her an A+ for seemingly defined information on the SEALs lifestyle, actions etc..If she isn't married to one then she must know one, or interviewed one...or did a heck of a lot of googling.

Should you read this story--meh. HOWEVER, I read the tease chapter for the next story in the series and the description in the first paragraph was pure poetry. Loved it, big time. So I think I'll go get the next one. The one thing about authors is that we keep improving our craft. Sometimes it worth it to "stay the course" as Kyle would say!

Love, hope and faith

Finally finished.
I started this book a few years ago. It was one of my first audiobooks. Mostly I remember it being summer and I had the audiobook on in the car but had to roll the windows up at a stoplight because the sex was getting explicit and groan worthy.
The heroine seems overly horny having been threatened but the storyline extends to drama and more covert threats and danger. Then boomerang breakups had me pissed at both of them.
Beyond the romance, the support of fellow team members was strong and enviable.

Kyle Lansdowne is an A typical Navy SEAL. He is a rugged, handsome, sexy, Alpha male who is married to his Team. After his first glimpse of Christy, and even though he stalked her throughout the San Francisco airport, he never expected to lay eyes on her again. But the sensual, leggy blonde has never left his thoughts.
Christy hasn’t forgotten that strong body that leant up against hers when she stumbled, as the powerful arm snaked around her middle to capture her fall. She has fantasised about the very wicked things she could do with a body like that, but she knows that the fantasy is all she going to get.
An impromptu encounter will throw these unexpected lovers into a web of, deceit, drug wars and mortal danger, while their insatiable passion threatens to internally combust!
Accidental SEAL is one of the most exhilarating, action packed and HOT, and I do mean HOT!!!, books I have ever read!

Sharon Hamilton's newest series shows the reader an extraordinary depiction of the intense commitment, discipline and rigors of the SEAL way. Hamilton portrays a magnificent young man of the species in Kyle Lansdowne. In an unexpected encounter with Christy Nelson, real estate saleslady, both are thrown into emotional and sexual turmoil with an attraction neither welcomes. The story unfolds around a missing SEAL, Kyle's best friend, illicit doings among law-enforcement officers and Christy's kidnapping. In significant dramatic storytelling, great good humor and scary adventure scenes, Sharon Hamilton brings her tale to a lusty and satisfying end. A page-turner by any other name is a Sharon Hamilton novel. Buy it NOW and settle in for a good read.

With the heat of summer upon us, Sharon Hamilton's Accidental SEAL cranks up the heat even more through its edge of your seat suspense and intensely sexual connection between the main characters of Kyle and Christy. Not only do we get to meet such a strong primary couple, but the secondary characters are equally intriguing and as SEALs are super strong and charming.

Christy and Kyle meet in a very memorable way and from there their relationship evolves very quickly. Christy's a strong and likable character who's capable of protecting herself. Upon meeting Kyle her life is turned upside down and not only has she found the one man she wants to love, but her life is now in danger from those sworn to protect. Christy's no shrinking violet and plays an active role in bringing the bad guys to justice which endears her to all the SEALs. Kyle's extremely loyal to his friends and would die for them if need be, but is incapable of admitting his true feelings towards Christy. As he fights to find his missing friend and fellow SEAL, he almost loses Christy and can't deny his feelings anymore which leads to a perfectly tied up and satisfying conclusion.

The mystery surrounding the bad guys gets a bit pushed to the side in relation to the sexual interludes, which are frequent and scorching. The bad guys make for some bloody encounters and pulse pounding action sequences. This gives Kyle's fellow SEALs a chance to shine and set themselves apart for future installments.

From beginning to end I found this to be an enjoyable story with intriguing characters and lots of sweaty sexual interludes. This premise and the sense of family amongst the SEALs, has me excited to revisit this world and the characters that were enticingly introduced. This is one series that will become an auto-buy for me and one I think others will enjoy too.

I'm a sucker for a Navy SEAL story. This one has some good stuff and some not-so-good stuff going on in it. While I like Kyle and Christy, I'm not sold on their falling in love after two one-night stands. And Christy keeps going after Kyle after he repeatedly breaks it off with her. Where's your pride, girl? And "her peach" -- really? IDK. Seems more like a guy's thought than a girl's, but whatever.

I like Kyle's teammates and their interactions with one another. The premise of the book is good, but why does it take the Navy days and days to track Armando's cell signal?

Possible Spoilers: Some things never get explained, like why was Marla killed? What happened to Carlisle, the bad Navy guy hanging with Warren Hilber? And what is wrong with Mia -- going shopping without a care in the world while her brother is still being held (and drugged) by her baby-daddy's gang? That was just weird.

The title of the book kinda confused me. I kept wondering, did he become a SEAL accidentally, and how does one do that? Or is he an accident-prone SEAL? Hmmm.

Nevertheless, with a suspension of disbelief, I did enjoy the book (it helped that it was free on Amazon). I don't expect absolute accuracy from these types of stories. I like them for what they are... an escape from reality with a dreamy man and some hot sex scenes. Mission accomplished. Two and a half stars.

This didn't work for me at all. I was over the characters after the 1st few pages. The female MC couldn't decide if she was a tough girl or a cry baby. She was either crying or "being" tough through the entire story. I hate to admit this, but I started skipping over her chapters about a 1/3 of the way through.

The male MC, a Seal, which would generally be hot was NOT. I have no clue why he was so important? The entire story he's trying to get this BFF back and yet some how the MC is the one they want? WHAT? The Seal Team...very confusing.

There were so many excess words throughout this book and some of the descriptions were so over the top that I found myself rolling my eyes more often than not.

We know the bad guys from the moment they are introduced and for some even before that. The character of Mia, was she good or bad and how messed up that this girl gets kidnapped and when they get her back she never seems concerned that the same people of her brother.

I don't know, I could go on but that seems rude so I will just say, no thank you.

My goodness Christy fell hard n fast for her Seal Kyle Lansdowne.
A chance meet when Christy accidentally goes to a wrong house. Kyle is staying at the house of his missing Team mate, thinking Christy may know something, he restrains her. She should be scared of this guy, but I was amazed by her reaction, she was one fearless lady. Although shaken she accepts his apology and a lunch date, which turns into so much more than either bargain for. As he battles with the need to find and save his friend and wanting to be with Christy he realises he is putting her in grave danger. Those that have his friend will stop at nothing to get what they want. Christy, well she just wants Kyle and is determined to keep him.

DNF- I'm really trying to read more of what I already have this year. I have several books in this series floating around on my Kindle and finally got around to starting book one in hopes it would be a win and I could knock out the rest of the series happily. Ummm... not so much.

Unfortunately, I just didn't like the story. I thought it started slow and the storyline was definitely over the top. Now that's not usually an issue with me but when I don't like the actual story, I guess it is. After the hero and heroine hook up, I immediately didn't like either one of them. He turns into a dick. She turns into a needy pathetic doormat. I even tried skimming a bit to see if could get back into it but I couldn't. I'm shelving this one as DNF. It's defintiely not for me.

I HATE leaving reviews like this! It turns my stomach because I know what it takes to put a story together and out there for readers to read. This book didn't do anything for me except frustrate me. There was absolutely NO authenticity in it that gave it any military feel. The first thing I noticed was a lack of "Yes, Sir." or "No, Sir." or any true military lingo. I was also very frustrated with the heroine/hero. He pushed her away, she pulled him back. She loves him after 2 days, and he won't say it back so she's upset at him. Insta-love doesn't bother me in books. This book did because it didn't feel genuine or real. I will try another book from this author because I do like her writing style. I won't continue this series, though.

I thoroughly enjoyed this modern-day adventure story. Accidental SEAL is a frolicking good read that whipsaws the action from bedroom ecstasy to the fierce brotherhood that emerges when a fellow SEAL mysteriously disappears. After serving two tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, Kyle "Lanny" Lansdowne returns to his home town of San Diego unprepared to handle a chance encounter with the beautiful Christy Nelson at the same time his SEAL wartime buddy, Armando Guzman, vanishes without a trace. Sharon Hamilton has crafted a fast-paced story with humor and an uncanny insight to the macho, yet secretive, lives of an elite group of heroic men in the Navy SEALS.

Accidental SEAL reveals wave like romance pounding the heart like a persistent high tide. This tide of passion may just convince the reader that author Sharon Hamilton brings a fresh look at romance set around the beaches and scenes of San Diego. The tide sometimes swells against the protagonists Christy and Kyle while they search for his missing SEAL partner, who has disappeared under mysterious conditions. The waning makes them examine what truly counts. This new series of SEAL romance stories by Sharon Hamilton promises more passions on the pages to come.

I could not get enough. This story was shrouded in mystery, suspense, and hot sex. Kyle was a conflicted, but loyal, honorable man, and Christy was his equal. From the very beginning the two shared a deep connection, but they both had to overcome a few obstacles before they could get their HEA. I was totally into them as a couple. Loved the action and the banter. I’m really looking forward to more from Coop, Fredo, and Armani. Good series!

I finished this. It took me three days to finish this. That is a really long time for me. This book and I just didn't click, I found the writing far too odd, and spent too much time laughing when I shouldn't have been. I could put a heap of quotes from this to make my point, but I don't want to waste any more of my time writing about a book that just wasn't for me.

This is an exciting action packed, sensual romance. Kyle the hero being a gorgeous Navy SEAL. Christy is a fiesty heroine. The interaction with the fellow SEALs were both amusing and exciting to read. The love scenes are very sensual. All the characters are believable. This is going to be a must read series from Sharon Hamilton, cant wait for the next one

I have read most of the stories in this series and this one is by far my favorite. Listening to the audiobook version, made it even more “real” and I could almost feel being “in” the scenes with the various characters.
This first audiobook in the series, not only gives a glimpse of the various characters that will have stories in future books, but it gives us two important characters that will be a constant in the series. These are Navy SEAL Kyle Landsdowne , and young realtor Christy Nelson.
Their chance meeting was less than stellar, and one that had Christy not sure if she should run or not. But before she can figure out what this man is all about, she finds herself mixed in a web of dangerous men, drugs, as well as an intriguing SEAL.
As things heat up and Kyle and his team members could be facing extreme disciplinary action, Christy encounters danger.
Will they survive the danger? If they do, will Christy leave Kyle behind or will they embrace their feelings and the possibility of a future together?
A wonderful beginning to a series that will become a classic.
The narrator, JD Hart, did an excellent rendition of all the various voices in the story.

Check out my other listens at Eargasms Audiobook Reviews

This is a case of a great concept that just didn't work for me. I could be wrong in my assessment, there are certainly many reviews here with higher ratings. For me it was just an okay read, it never really sparked anything. I readily admit I tend to be harsher on books because I read tons, an average reader may feel very differently about the book.

This is a very smexy read, plenty of yummy steam mixed into the action packed story. I have mixed feeling about this book, it had a great premise and was very well paced, it just lacked believably. However, I am willing to suspend reality at times.

Christy is a bit wishy-washy for me. She purports to be all "I am Woman, hear me roar" when she is rather needy. I wanted to smack her of shake the crap out of her at times. She would make really smart decisions one minute and in the next breathe do something colossally stupid. She had moments of sass but needed more.

Kyle was very aggravating as well, he seemed to be a touch ADD, especially on missions. I hate when the guy acts like his job is the big issue and insurmountable. Just because you are a bad@$$ soldier doesn't mean you can't have a life. Still he was sexy and Alpha in all the ways I love.

It is a mixed narrative, which gives you each lead character's POV. This helps make both of them more likable. Getting into their thoughts is a double edged sword, you find out their motivations but you also get in on their no so bright moments.

There are some really steamy scenes but they are more booty calls than making love. I could easily see the lust and a slight emotional connection, but definitely not love. They barely talked to each other, most of their time together was spent smexing. This felt more like the start of something but no where near ready to be a permanent relationship.

The story is complex and simple at the same time. There is a lot going on and at times there is information overload. Other times the info is vague and you are left feeling like chunks of story are missing. About halfway through the book the action really picks up and we get more into the grit of the story. From there things fly by!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by J.D. Hart, he has a delicious deep tone with just a touch of rasp. I loved his guy voices, deep and yummy, but Christy sounds a touch whiny. It does not help endear her to me. He has a wonderful pace in the read and really helps the story more at sluggish moments. I look forward to him reading the rest of the series. There are a few moments with recorded messages that are played like real recordings, it is an interesting break in the narrative.

The supporting characters are very interesting and colorful. I am eager to hear more of their stories. Cooper sounds delicious!! The rest of the team has possibility as well.

Overall, this is an interesting start to the series. I am interested in hearing more and the plots are intriguing. I do enjoy a great romantic suspense.
