This is the most disappointing book in the series yet if you ask me. I'm sick of the love square with Skyla. It's Logan, Gage, Marshall. Logan, Gage, Marshall. All over again time after time after time.
It's so repetitive. I've had enough if it all. I love Logan. I love Gage. I think im falling for Marshall. And Ellis is looking pretty hot.

Skyla- get a grip. You can't have them all yet your just stringing them along.

And she's getting just as bad as Chloe. She's turning into a bitch.

I'm getting bored, angry and frustrated with the waiting for what seems like a never ending decision . I know it's hard since all boys are so attractive and nice. But if it doesn't pee me off that after seven books it seems like Skyla is nowhere near picking who she wants to be with.

She's so ungrateful and unappreciative of people's feelings. How many girls have 4 very hot guys to choose from who are head over heels in love with them? NONE that's how many! Yet she's kissing one guy one minuet and a different one the next. And she JUSTIFIES her actions with excuses. Ugh, please. This is the first book I haven't loved. I felt sorry for Skyla for her predicament for the first 6 books. I wouldn't know who to choose either, but enough is enough. She needs to pick before she has no one left because all she's doing is causing them all pain.

She better pick soon or I'm going to get so frustrated I won't be able to stand these books.

Team Marshall ;D
If not I'm so with Gage.
Next book better have a descision in it. Although I'm seriously doubting it.

Another book in the series where our lovely heroine once again tries to deny her feelings for either of the two brothers. She's all "No, I'm ok without Logan/Gage and I am a STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMAN!!"

Sure, hon...suuuuuure.

That's why everytime either Gage/Logan even comes near her, her entire body spasms, her breath 'hitches', she starts to skip and her eye becomes twitchy...

Can't wait until the next one - when we'll (maybe) finally get a DECISIVE answer regarding who she ends up with. That way we can eliminate the tortured looks, the longing sighs and the 'wicked dimples' before I puke my guts out.

Just saw the 'part one' sign on the book. Can she drag out this story any longer, seriously can't be bothered to see a not-so-shocking-anymore cliffhanger again. I get she's trying to make money but, a 7 or more book series about supernaturals??...More than 6 books is acceptable in a series only when the plot is constantly changing but the characters stay the same. for example Cherub books, or the Alex rider series or Percy Jackson books. Definitely not reading this one.

Absolutely can not wait on Toxic to hit the shelves. I bought book one on a rainy Friday after work, read the first 6 in the series by breakfast Tuesday. Every book ends in a cliff hanger, that leaves you craving more. Hurry up editors.... I need Toxic.

OK I would like to start this review by saying that I was quite enjoying the Celestra series before this book. While I thought that the first few books were a bit rough, I also thought that they were getting progressively better and better. I was super excited to see what would happen in the final two books but this was an absolute disappointment! Gosh, I just can’t believe it went so wrong!

So here are my issues:

1.The love square – It’s gone on for too long and in this book it gets ten times worse. There’s a fine line between a confused girl and a girl who’s just stringing along a bunch of guys, Skyla has officially crossed that line. She’s so far away from that line; she can’t even see it anymore. In this book, everyone gets some action. She also tells both Logan and Gage separately (but within days of each other) that she really wants to marry them and have their children. MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMAN. I’ve gone from feeling conflicted alongside her over which guy to choose, to feeling super bad for all three guys and hating Skyla for being such an indecisive tramp.

2.Skyla is so selfish! This could just be my dislike over her indecisiveness flowing over and causing me to just hate her in general but I found her to be extremely self-absorbed. Addison Moore does try to remedy this with the standard lines of “I have to save my people” but honestly, I felt that she was more concerned about saving herself than anyone else.

3.The storyline is getting really complicated and a little difficult to follow at times. I found the first few chapters a tad confusing and had a bit of difficulty getting my head around all the dimensions and time loops.

4.Some of the writing was a little bit over the top at times – “The sun rides high overhead, hovering like some alien vessel intent on devouring us. The glare provides its own distinct haze, clouds up my vision with the gloss of happiness it so arrogantly displays” … really?

Toxic (part 1) crashed and burned. I really hope that the second installment of Toxic isn’t the same way.

Dear God in Heaven, I am so happy that's over! I expected the worst but hoped for the best and I got the worst of the worst. I am so over Skyla and her drama with Logan and Gage. And now Ellis? Are you kidding me? Really? She hasn't matured, and she's still making stupid decisions based on pure impulse. Did she learn nothing from the last series of unfortunate events that she directly caused? No! Frankly, it's annoying. The absolute worst was that she believe Chloe of all people! And it took 75%of the book for her to actually hear Gage's side of things. She believes Chloe over Gage? I can't do it! I just can't. One bright spot in the book was the actual participation in the faction war. Now that made my ear perk up and it was quite thrilling and engaging. Too bad there wasn't more than that because Skyla is destined to save the world after all.

It's hard because I'm curious to see how it ends but I don't want to put myself through yet another book. I'm invested though so we shall see how it all ends. It better be good!

Honestly, why does this book have such a high rating?! I'd give it zero stars if I could. Moore's writing style itself is beautifully descriptive, but this novel was a pointless waste of my time!

Absolutely nothing of import happens. No major revelations, no character development. There are just endless pages of the protagonist being a fickle and immature bitch.

If this book accomplished anything, it was to make me feel like the author is swindling me for extra money by dragging out the story. Both parts of book 7 could have easily been condensed in editing and combined into a single novel.

Anyone reading the Celestra series, do yourself a favor and just go straight to part two of toxic. You really won't miss a thing by not reading part one. I wish I had!

Addison Moore's writing sucks you in from the very first sentence in the Prologue and doesn't let you go until the very last word of the very last sentence of the book. She has a way of being able to give just enough information to keep up the allure of suspense and at the same time make you question what really happened in the plot line. Each novel has brought on an added layer of suspense, energy, secrets unravelled, secrets revealed, and loyalty to the characters that it entices you to keep on reading and waiting for the next novel. I honestly can not wait until Toxic Part 2 comes out. Team Logan all the way!

TOXIC Part One (Celestra Series #7) by Addison Moore

TOXIC is the next to last instalment in Addison Moore’s Celestra series. I am not sure where to begin. I have both enjoyed and been disheartened by this series. The premise is interesting-a young girl who would be the savior in a centuries old war between good and evil, but apparently no one is willing to tell her what she is to do or how to do it. So, along the way she comes up against impossible odds, and throws everyone into a war that the Celestra are quickly losing. Without guidance, Skyla flounders in what can only be described as ‘teens gone wild’ movie premise, as she tries to convince the others they have the wrong girl.

Skyla Messenger is back in the 7th storyline along with the entire cast of Counts, Fems, Celestra, mean girls and love starved teens and yet the storyline doesn’t really progress any further along than the previous book. Skyla is still in love with Gage, Logan and Marshall, and they too, are in love with her. The angst of this particular love nest is pushing my proverbial button. I am not sure how Addison will be able to justify the eventual pairing because throughout the series each love interest has either tried to kill, killed or hurt the object of their affection more than once. As the dueling cousins, Gage and Logan are at the top of the love food chain, but each has hurt Skyla with their twisted attempts to both save and guard the young woman who is destined to rule the Celestra kingdom. And Marshall, although appearing to be a pervy old man, comes across as her knight in shining armor albeit with an ulterior motive. And I am not sure whether his motives are necessarily altruistic or something else. And to complicate the entire love quad, Skyla is in love with all 3 men, but not necessarily on an equal par.

Most of the adult figures in the storyline are either evil or oblivious to everything going on. Skyla’s adopted parents are embroiled in their own little world where trying to make babies interferes with their parenting skills as well as their ability to get a grasp on reality. And on every page her step-father hurls accusations of sex orgies and illicit drug use all the while allowing the young men of the household to participate in said dalliances. I have never seen 2 parents more oblivious to the world around them unless under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Sadly I have no sympathy for many of the characters because the lack of respect accorded the children is equal to the lack of respect in return. The storyline is a study in bad family dynamics-all around. Even Skyla’s birth mother is a questionable parent when she is willing to let her daughter die for a greater cause. Skyla is the perpetual target for her step-father’s anger, and yet the household siblings seem to live in a glass dome as it pertains to the parental units. Regardless of events, it seems Skyla is on the receiving end of too many toxic relationships in her short life.

Back to Skyla’s love life. (sigh) This must be one amazing young woman to have so many boys and men professing their love and adoration for someone so inept and clumsy that she accidently kills or maims many of the so called friends and aquaintances she encounters on her daily rituals. Not only does she have the unending worship of Gage, Logan and Marshall but her awe-inspiring persona has trapped a few other young men in her world of inept seduction and teen angst. Even the evil Counts want to get into Skyla’s pants. But Skyla remains a virgin, much to her chagrin, even though she is ready and more than willing to prove her love to both Gage and Logan, by sacrificing her virginity for the greater good.

Sadly, I will be happy to see this series come to fruition. The teenage love quad alone has forced my acceptance that sometimes all things must come to an end. Several hearts will be broken unless by some miracle we discover that there are 3 Skyla’s who have inadvertently time travelled and arrived at the same time period-it is possible --she has encountered herself on many occasions in the past and future. Perhaps this is the only way to have a true HEA. I was disappointed that the storyline did not progress beyond previous book as it seem to go around in circles, but this is part one of book seven and we hope that all of our questions and concerns will be addressed in the final instalment.

I read this book AFTER I read Ephemeral which is another series but involves the Counts, it was SO cool to actually see Skyla's and Laken's stories intertwine in Toxic. Also I must say for some reason I am still team Marshall, I don't know why it just seems he is the most forthright guy in Skyla's life, is it just me? I know that this series is wrapping up with what 2 more books publishing after this one? I may be wrong but I thought I saw that Book 8 (Toxic part 2 being 7.5) would be the last. Anyway, this series is just so epic and long and sometimes, looking back, it felt like it didn't go anywhere. I love the writing style of Ms. Moore, I love the characters in this book and I'm glad that we didn't harp much on Chloe, because that just gets a bit tedious after a while. Instead we are spending the greater portion of this book mourning over Gage without hearing his side of the story, and trying to make him jealous with either Marshal or Logan, sometimes the vapid teenagerness just gets to me. I am ready to find out how this story ends, I'm ready to find out whose side everyone winds up on and who Skyla finally decides to settle with, but more on this book. If you enjoyed the previous 6 books then you'll like this one and it ends much the same as the others, with the undeniable urge to know more and a swift brick wall that you slam into because, Yeah, cliffhangers. Have no fear if cliffhangers get you down because part 2 has been released already, we're just waiting for the last one and I'm ready.

Addison Moore does it again! This book is amazing! When I first found out that Toxic was going to make Moby Dick look like a Novella, I may have actually drooled. It is going to be released in as two books and this review is for part one. I am constantly recommending this series to people. It is simply brilliant and fun and so wonderfully crafted that it does not surprise me at all that Fox optioned it for a television series. Even though I know this when I begin reading, I am stilled floored by the awesomeness of each new book.

Wow! is all I can really say. Things are really beginning to come to a head. Visions are questioned. Trust is pushed to the limit. Brielle is a mom (this book is worth reading just to read the scene she has with Lizbeth about diapers). Yes, that may be the scariest part of all. Without getting spoilery, I feel like I am still on the roller coaster that is Skyla's life. Even though this is part one, it feels like a complete book and is the length of a full novel. I am so geeked that part two will be out in probably a month.

If you have not read the previous books in this series, this book will make pretty much no sense. That is ok, just head over and start with book one. It is free!!!

Addison Moore still has me hooked on this series. I cant wait to read part two, but at the same time I am getting nervous because I know the end will be comming sooner rather than later. Even though I will probably cry, I cant wait to see how the story comes together in the end. I also liked how Lakens' story is starting to intermingling with Skylas' Story. ( I think I like Coop even more, and I am starting to feel like Westly is confused and hopefully with Lakens help, he will become a better man.)

I would really like to learn more about why Chloe has sided with the Counts. A few times in this book, I wondered if maybe they are holding something against her.

As far as people writing that splitting the books into two parts is greedy, all I have to say is that this book was longer than books I have paid $10+ for, and I would happy pay more. There are books and series out there, that I could patiently wait for the price to come down. With this series, I have to have the book the day it comes out! Yes I like this series that much!!!! The good news is, all of her books so far have been UNDER $5!!!!!!

Toxic is the seventh book in the Celestra series. The war against the Celestras and the Countenance is still brewing. Unfortunately, things don't seem to be going well with Skyla and her friends.

Let's talk about the romance! Gage, tsk tsk tsk. I do not like you. When it comes to him and Skyla I don't feel anything between them, they should just stay friends. Logan, I like you a lot. You can definitely feel the love between him and Skyla. Logan doesn't act like a caveman when it comes to her and he's protective, but he doesn't suffocate her. Marshall, I love you, you crazy bastard. His character is so funny and entertaining, and we can see there's some sexual tension between him and Skyla.

Tad, Drake, Melissa. I can't stand the Landons, they just really bother me. As for Chloe, she needs the chill the fuck out. Hopefully things will straighten out in the next part of Toxic.

Okay.. So how to start this? I love the Celesta series OK, but I think this book is the worst of all.
I mean from expel I'm waiting for the explanation why Gage turned "traitor" and helped Chloe, and then all the explanations uggh it's unacceptable!!
And then after Skyla and Lucas was stabbed and after they were rescued by Gage and returned home all Skyla's thoughts go back to Gage, can't she atleast appreciate Lucas after everything that he sacrificed. And also when they are still in the dungeon they'd profess love to each other and then when they return to their home all that happened there seems forgotten! Skyla is being a "slut" ok. When they are in the dungeon she loves Lucas, when they are the real plane she loves Gage and when she is recovering after the dungeon all she would think about is Marshall. On how she would do everything just to have Marshall touch him when the counts are drinking her blood. She's being so selfish!!

Omg!!! Where to begin.. I loved this series when I purchased the first book back in March.
Skyla, Logan and Gage.. This book my god, it just keeps you wanting moore, and you dont want to put it down, It took me a couple of days to read because I had too lol... oh man, I finished the book and i was like wtf thats it?! Addison liked to do those cliff hangers, but thats alright!
so of course in the book.. Gage shows Skyla some visions, she kisses logan alot and tells him she loves her, logan of course tells her its not there time, and Marshall see skyla and him self being married and having babys. Theres so much more to this book, but if you liked all the other books this is just like the rest of them... meaning you want mooooore! I dont think I can handle it when she finishes the series.. I dont think Im gonna like it ending :-(

I have loved this series up until the last book in a half. I found myself really annoyed with Skyla and her back in forth feelings for Gage Logan and Marshall. We get it shes pissed at Gage for breaking her heart, but how many ways do we have to read about it?
Maybe the fact this book was written as one and then split into two but the end did nothing for me. As a reader I have come to expect a cliff hanger ending from Addison and this part one just stopped. I personally feel like this series has went on to long, I am invested in the story and will continue to read it till the end. I just hope the next book in a half will be better and focus less on Skyla's admirers and more on her winning the fraction war and saving the world.

While this one wasn’t my favorite in this series, it definitely wasn’t terrible. Like many others have said, the love square is getting a little tedious. All in all though Addison Moore creates a wonderful world for the reader as usual and it really shows. I finished it in a day.
