Cassandra Carr introduces us to Master Dmitri and Mara, his Submissive and their wonderful day in the park!
Playing hooky from their business, Dmitri and Mara decide to go “play” in the park at the lake. And, it’s not riding the swings. From oral sex in the lean-to to a public spanking, Cassandra brings us on the ride of our life throughout the whole park. She also introduces us to the other couples in the four remaining stories and makes us understand just how much Public Displays of Eroticism can turn other people on. And, after all is said and done and Master Dmitri has had his pleasure, he could just turn to the audience and say, “Gentlemen…get your own.” with a smile on his face.

Jami Davenport continues the saga with professional football player, Wyatt and his once-a-year fling with Mara. But, he wants more – will Mara give it to him?
Wyatt and Mara met in this exact park 4 years ago and started a once-a-year fling when he came to town. Wyatt and Alex are struck speechless when they find Dmitri and Mara sharing their love in public. What ensues is Wyatt pushing Mara’s boundaries while two people sit on a park bench arguing over who is getting custody of the cat – “Horatio prefers me. You won’t be taking him anywhere.” “I’ll fight you tooth and nail for custody.” (Mara) “Their fighting over custody of the cat?” (Wyatt) “Honey, I’m more interested in gaining custody of your pussy not theirs.” That scene just had me laughing out loud! Then, being caught by the patrolman – hysterical.

Cristal Ryder brings us Valerie and Tyler. Two fun-loving, outdoor people who love hiking through the park together. Today, Valerie decides to surprise Tyler and has a very wicked afternoon planned. Little did they know that Dmitri and Mara would set the pace for their fun-filled afternoon.
While waiting for Tyler in the little clearing in the park, Valerie takes out her binoculars to watch for wildlife. What she finds is life at it’s wildest – Dmitri and Mara at the overlook. When Tyler shows up, Valerie is more than ready for her afternoon to begin. They decide to follow Dmitri and Mara with the binoculars and mimic their every move. (Tyler)“Here. Why don’t you try to find them this time?” (Valerie) “Ah, sweet. He’s eating her.” Val lowered the binoculars and lay back, giving Ty a pointed look. She spread her legs and smiled. “Guess what you have to do?” And it continues from there climaxing in some surprise guests for dinner!

Miranda and Ross are next in this wonderful series of short stories. Here, Cassandra Carr gives us a little shy and a little inhibited Miranda letting go of her wilder side after spying Dmitri and Mara in the lean-to. When Ross catches her spying, it turns into some naughty fun – in the car, in the back-yard and finally back in the park.
Miranda finds out she has a fetish (or two) – voyeurism and being an exhibitionist – and Ross is more than happy to oblige her in finding out how far she will really go. Ross, of course, never felt that he could tell his Miranda that he has always wanted to try this: (Excerpt from “A Whole New World”) “Are you into voyeurism?” Maybe if she turned the focus to him she wouldn’t have to answer that question herself. “Yeah, always have been.” She licked her suddenly-parched lips. After clearing her throat, she asked, “Why didn’t you ever mention it?” His smile turned to a rueful smirk. “Exactly when do you bring up something like that? This little excerpt lead to some fun times with Miranda and Ross and a better understanding of their lives together.

The final story in the book brings us Jaid (Mara’s friend) and Alex (the other professional football player). So, as you know, Alex was with Wyatt when they ran across Dmitri and Mara and Jaid is more than willing to pick up where they left off. But, they bring it to a whole new level of Public Display of Eroticism!
Jaid’s plans for her once-a-year pairing with Alex go completely awry when they spot Dmitri and Mara. But, the handcuffs and blindfold will have to wait until later. Their little stint in the park starts at a picnic table and ends in the stream with applause from the audience that they have acquired. Another little excerpt from Public Display of Eroticism: “She held onto him until the tremors subsided. Alex pulled her off the rock and into deeper water until they were up to their necks. She clung to him, her body sated and her limbs weak. She didn’t want to leave, but the cold water and a smattering of applause penetrated her blissful fog. She’d forgotten about the frat boys. Alex looked up and saluted them while Jaid smiled. “
Public Displays of Eroticism was a wonderful, fun book written by three great authors. I had a twinkle in my eye through the stories and loved the way they all lead into each other and tied to “Back to Nature” to each of them. Master Dmitri and Mara just set the tone and pace for the book and each story took it to another level. Take my advice, if you a looking for a book to read while sitting next to the pool or on the beach – grab this. It is a quick, fun read that will have you looking around to see if you would be seen creating you own PDA. Oh, yea, by the way – they all have their own HEA’s! It wouldn’t be a Guilty Pleasure’s review if they didn’t! Enjoy…..

This book is HAWT!!!!!! If you want a book spicy enough to make the Scoville Pepper Scale People take notice this is the book for you!!!
Five separate novella's tied together (NO it's not THAT kind of book) by not only location but the couples desire to take their relationships to another level by having sex outdoors. Yep, park benches, picnic tables, behind a bush, on a bridge and a couple other interesting locations serve as background for their sexcapades. To be sure, it will make you take a better look next time you enjoy an afternoon at the park. In some cases the couples are just looking for a little spice, careful to stay under the radar but in others they are more than happy to put on a show that would be hard to forget. In every case the fun outdoor activities are both consentual and desired between loving couples looking to connect in yet another way as they show their love for each other. Cassandra Carr, Jami Davenport and Cristal Ryder combine their stories by allowing their stories to intertwine bringing their individual tales together and escalating both the danger and the eroticism of their situations. I would love to read more anthologies that use this technique, giving a new dimension to each authors individual voice as their stories escalate to a final climactic ending.

BACK TO NATURE is the first story in the book and is written by Cassandra Carr. It certainly sets a tone for what to expect from the rest! Our couple is in a firm Dom/sub relationship, which is exemplified beautifully. He decides they’re going to go have some public fun, so they go to a park and do all kinds of naughty things in various locations throughout. The fun thing is that they’re never itching for an audience, nor are they disappointed, or shy for that matter, whenever they get one. Cassandra weaves a story that holds a perfect balance of erotica and loving devotion and it’s really a beautiful thing.
HAIL MARI is the next story, written by Jami Davenport. This picks up from somewhere in the middle of the last story from the point of view of a spectator from one of the locations of a tryst from “the original couple” (I will refer to them frequently, as they are the catalyst for a park full of naughtiness!). Mari and Wyatt meet up once a year whenever he’s in town, always pushing her to venture into more and more unfamiliar territory sexually. After catching sight of a couple on a park bench, they decide to have a little fun of their own. This encounter however, will lead them to a new place emotionally. It starts off seeming like it’ll just be a horny couple, but instead turns into a potentially life changing experience.
TAKING IT OUTSIDE is the third story and the only one written by Cristal Ryder. What disappoints me is that this is the only one by her, as it was my favorite in the book. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed them all, but this one had emotion, heat, and comedy. Val and Tyler have a strong relationship and a healthy sex life – one that encourages a little adventure from time to time. Val sets a sexy picnic in the park and tells Tyler to meet her. While waiting, she sees a shameless couple up on one of the lookouts above the lake. She’s already hot and bothered by the time Tyler catches up with her. They visually follow the couple, and use their antics as inspiration for their own. Little did they realize they weren’t the only voyeuristic people in the equation. They get the surprise of their lives at a café later that leads to a little embarrassment, but many laughs.
A WHOLE NEW WORLD is the fourth story, returning to Cassandra Carr. Once again we’re in the minds of two people who happened to catch sight of our original couple when they actually thought they were alone. It leads to Ross confessing an exhibitionist side, and to Miranda deciding to explore the possibilities. Ross is so respectful of Miranda as he tries to help guide her and ease her into different fun, public situations. Miranda is so adoring in her desire to fulfill Ross’s fantasies, and it leads to her finding a new side to herself as well as Ross. This story is a little different because, the others seemed to be mostly about the man having the most control in any given situation, but this one is more give and take. They push, challenge, and encourage each other. It’s really cute because he may push her limits, but she pushes his buttons and threatens his sanity, driving crazy. It’s also different because rather than spanning just the one outing, this story spans days, as the original couple continues to inspire them without ever needing to be seen again.

The bottom line about the book as a whole is that it’s absolutely hot, completely sensual, and oh so very sweet – the authors deserve a pat on the back. In its entirety, it was an utterly enjoyable read, and I will never walk through a park, or a mall parking lot for the matter, without wondering what I’m not seeing. After all, who hasn’t longed to be even a little bit of an exhibitionist or a voyeur (or both)? *wink*

I really liked this one, but it was definitely the naughtiest of the stories. Dmitri likes to have sex with his sub in public and has done for years. The bigger the audience, the more the thrill for him. The one time she dared to question his will, he made sure she never did again. It was definitely sexy, and I enjoyed the fact that there is history between the two characters; the love was definitely there. It was un-apologetically kinky!

This one was so damn sweet! Yes it was hot (that is the aim of this anthology) but the overall theme was lovely! Both parties were eagerly anticipating meeting each other, both aware that things were going beyond the usual “hook-up” scenario and it was really sweet. I routed for these two…well recommended J

The couple in the first story, Back to Nature by Cassandra Carr, were the inspiration for the other four couples featured in the rest of the stories in the book. Great premise, at least I thought it was a great premise when I started reading. Dmitri and Mara take time to have a little fun at a local park. where they are seen having oral sex in a lean-to.
From there, we meet Mari and Wyatt, who only see each other once a year to have sex, in Jami Davenport’s story Hail Mari. They find a secluded place in the trees to have their fun with an older couple arguing about custody of their cat on a nearby bench.
Cristal Ryder introduces us to Valerie and Tyler in Taking It Outside. Valerie spots Mara and Dmitri having their fun while she waits for Tyler to join her. Instead of the afternoon Valerie had planned, they decided to follow Mara and Dmitri’s lead…
Cassandra Carr gives us Miranda and Ross in A Whole New World. They do things a bit differently. Miranda discovers her voyeuristic tendencies, but isn’t quite as willing as the others to jump right into the games. They decide to take their fun and games and public displays elsewhere… their car, the backyard, then finally back to the park where it all started.
And our final story gives us Alex and Jaid, who are friends with Mari and Wyatt, in In The Open from Jami Davenport. Like Mari and Wyatt, they only see each other once a year and Jaid has it all planned out too. However, their plans change and they end up enjoying their yearly romp in the water in the park.
I loved the intertwining of the stories. The heat level was better than expected, to be honest, but the stories are far too short to develop the characters and relationships. We know the basics, but we don’t know anything more than that. If the plots had been developed more, the stories would have flowed together better and been more enjoyable. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy the stories, because I did, but not as much as I would could have. The other thing that bothered me was the “happy endings’ for Mari and Jaid. Their relationships with Wyatt and Alex did not have to change, it didn’t add anything to the story, nor would it have taken anything away from the stories.

I picked this book to review because I have read other works by Cassandra Carr and have been thoroughly impressed every time. Now I have two new authors to add to my ‘must read’ list. That would be Cristal Ryder and Jami Davenport, of course.
I’m not going to go over each story in this book. That could get kind of lengthy with my usual long-winded self, and I want you to read the book much more than I want you to read my review. But let’s go with a general description.
This book is a collection of stories, which, as I’ve said in the past, are not always my favorite. But the way these authors worked this angle was superb, and I am frothing at the mouth to find other books like this – especially if it contains these authors. Cassandra Carr opens the collection with a story about Mara and Dmitri. It is beyond hot. I mean seriously, it sizzles and pops. Mara and Dmitri decide to go out to a park, sort of like a nature trail type of place with canyons and lots of semi hidden and not so hidden areas. They are a Dom/sub couple with a flair for exhibitionism. The story was terrific.
But here is where this collection is different – all of the stories after this one are connected, and all points start from Mara and Dmitri. It was so exciting to me to see how this played out, with all stories connected. And trust me – Cassandra Carr wasn’t the only star in this book. Cristal Ryder and Jami Davenport definitely made this an exhibitionist’s or voyeur’s dream come true, depending on which side of the line you may fall.
If you love reading about BDSM, outdoor sex, and exhibitionism, then this is the story you have been looking for. And on top of that these stories were all written with great heart and just the right amount of emotion to keep it all feeling real. This book didn’t at all feel like a collection of sex stories, aiming to just get you hot. It was fun to read, interesting to see how one act has such an erotic butterfly effect. And yes, every story scorched with its heat level. It was definitely a winning combination, and I really hope these authors get together for some more collection fun!

With a title like this, I knew I was in for a treat! I always hear people asking what to read after 50 Shades of Grey…well look no further people. This was great and well worth your time. If you like hot erotic public romps this is brain candy. I enjoyed the book and I hope you will too.

I totally enjoyed this story. I love reading books where a submissive woman enjoys herself without it feeling like abuse. This was perfect. Dimitri is the perfect Dom and the field trip he takes his “pet” on is one hell of an outing! Loved this sexy and creative story, the sex is well written.
Hail Mari – Jami Davenport
I adored Wyatt and Mari’s story! I think this was the most romantic of the bunch. The erotic scenes were pure romance but hot enough to make my kindle smoke. This one was funny, charming, and absolutely beautiful! A must read for football fans…or at least fans of the sexy players!
Taking it outside – Crystal Ryder
This story’s heroine was wonderful. I loved her honest emotions. I Love the description of Ty’s bod and this one made me fan myself to cool down!

Five VERY erotic and VERY public short and sensual reads by three very skilled authors that are all new to me. Each one is its own sexual adventure but connects to the other in one way or another; the way these three authors connected them makes for great views from very different angles (so to speak). Any fan of erotica and/or BDSM will enjoy all five stories and there steamy content :)

I really enjoyed reading the stories in the book, Public Displays of Eroticism by Cassandra Carr, Jami Davenport and Cristal Ryder. These stories were bold, fun and really hot and had me wanting more. The authors did a great job connecting all five stories together and they flowed seemlessly. It started off with Master Dmitri and his sub, Mara, having sex in public at a park and not caring as others caught them in "the act". What follows is other couples who witnessed Dmitri and Mara's erotic display of affection we're quite "turned on" and had them divulging their inner desire to experience the same thing. Readers got to see Mari & Wyatt, Val & Tyler, Miranda & Ross and Jaid & Alex let go and experience the freedom to have sex in a public place. All these couples are in an existing relationship and the trust they have in one another makes it even more meaningful than just a "one-night" stand. I believe this helped further their relationship to the next level. I would have loved to have read more about what happened to some of the couples afterwards such as Mari & Wyatt since they were not in an exclusive relationship even though things looked to be changing and also Jaid & Alex since she seemed to have a older woman/younger man issue.

Each of the stories has it's own flavor from the young woman who practically builds a barricade with shrubbery to shield them from onlookers to the football player with a little kink in his soul who invites a bunch of college boys to watch up close and personal. All in all, the stories are entertaining in themselves and knit together into a warm sweater to keep you toasty in front of a windy sea on a chilly summer afternoon.

What a great concept, start off with a story, written by Cassandra Carr, then build upon that. The stories were all really hot and had one theme in common, they all viewed the first couple, Dmitri and Mara, having sex in public, and what a stroll through the park that was. From there we saw glimpses of them throughout the other authors own stories. Cristal Ryder and Jami Davenport did an excellent job at keeping to that theme with their own characters. I really enjoyed the fact that all of the couples were already involved and taking their relationship to another level with public displays. I felt like a voyeur myself and I could not look away!

The title and 1 set of 6 sentences from Cassandra Carr and I had to buy this book. What a treat, you get 5 little stories. I treated myself to one story a night. They are each yummy little nuggets. I can't pick a favorite, I enjoyed them all. It's quick and erotic, but the story is up front in each. Well done ladies.

Overall a good collection of stories. Liked the one by Ms Ryder best when the couple who was not only having sex in public but was watching another couple ran into that couple in a cafe. What are the chances? Good stories that are quick reads, very steamy, and all involve couples who share feelings not just out to get their rocks off. Well done.
