As a publicist, Avery Collins knows that mixing business and pleasure is a recipe for disaster. Her bedroom is off-limits to clients, no matter how enticing and persistent they may be.
Ty McCall is country music's newest rising star, but he needs the best team in the business to help him make it to the top. That includes Avery, who gave him the most unforgettable night of his life, only to disappear the next morning.
Avery agrees to work with him, but he wants more. Can he convince her he's worth the risk?
Cheryl Douglas is a USA Today Bestselling author who kicks back in the country surrounded by farm land and nature. Her life revolves around family, country music, sports, travel, caffeine, chocolate, and deadlines.
Well, we're going on to book 4 in the series and I have to say that I'm still really enjoying it. I like the way the characters develop and like that they have some good stuff to sort through to get to their happy endings.
In the first three books, Avery is somewhat in the background. Yes, she's Trey's publicist and former lover, but I didn't feel like we knew too much about her. I have to say, I really liked her. I wasn't sure that I would going in to this book. As I write this, I remember feeling that way about Luc in the last book, but the author made me love him too. She has a knack for pulling out the goods.
Now, Avery comes from a high society family and doesn't really have a good perception on what a healthy relationship involves. So, when she develops strong feelings for Ty, (and who wouldn't) it feels foreign and scary for her. I loved watching Ty break down her walls.
Ty, on the other hand, comes from a normal, healthy, happy family. He knows what he wants and isn't afraid to show it or go after it. Of course, it helps that he's drop dead gorgeous. Ty's not without his faults though and he has a pretty tough road to prove himself to Avery. I think it will be interesting to see how their relationship continues as Ty becomes more successful.
This series is a definite must read for me. I always keep my eye out for the next books release and jump at the chance to review it. I'm invested into this groups' lives now. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming books in the series. We will learn more about the handsome McCall brothers and how their lives will intertwine with the rest of the bunch. CAN'T WAIT!
If you looking for a great Contemporary Romance series, I really do recommend this one. The books are somewhat predictable, but in a comforting way. I hope you fall in love with the characters as much as I have.
Cure story but it seems like the author just got tired of the story and ended it. Just when it was getting interesting it ended. Could have used a few more chapters to end it properly. The book also had a ton of typos, at times I felt like I was proofreading the book for editing.
I loved this book. Avery & Ty had serious chemistry. Couldn't put it down once I started!!! The Cherly Douglas has me hooked on her Nashville Night Series.
A great book. The insta-love on his part (Ty) made me skip a few paragraphs, thou'... I understand falling in love and being in love at first sight, but deciding you love the girl, a forever kind of love after one night of passion two years ago is farfetched and delusional. It irritated me at times, his ease to profess his feelings. Also, for her being a famous and acomplished publisher for celebrities, she handled her relationship with her parents and Abby poorly. The interactions with Luc, Andrew the fotographer, J.T. and even Abby's parents were much better and in better focus to her age and experience with life. All in all, I liked it. And I loved the fact that I could read book 4 right after book 1 and feel I didn't miss a lot.
4.5 stars - Boy I have been looking forward to this book since I read the first book in the series. I wanted to know the back story and see how the hell these two were going to work it out. It was definitely worth the wait. I didn’t know if they would ever get their shit together at the same time or if it was never going to be the right time. I love how they did though. The fact that it was Nikki, was beautiful. To Read my full review: http://wp.me/p3a6Qw-3Y
DNF at 64% Well, I did not enjoy this book and eventually gave up on it. My main disappointment was in the characters. Though somewhat stereotypical and over-the-top, Ty was an all-round good guy, so I never understood what he saw in Avery. She was harsh and inconsistent, and I just couldn't bring myself to like her. This was a miss for me; however, I will most likely continue with the series.
I think this was the best one out of all of them so far. Avery is a mature and wonderful character with a good heart. I would of loved to see a bigger ending to this novel, that Abby got help with her coke addiction but I was happy about Avery and Ty.
Wow, Avery can be ruthless and heartless. She is one tough cookie! Ty is yummy!! Super attentive, sweet, sexy and loves with every fiber of his being! Maybe it's true...opposites attract! I love this series. This series would make a fun tv show series!
I need to get the next one of this series. Loving all the characters. Love how she doesn't think she needs anyone yet she does and has the tug a war relationship from it. Great ending thanks to her mom...
I am really enjoying this series. When finishing one book, I can't wait to get started on the next one. I loved Ty and Avery, this one is my favorite so far. What I like most is the characters are introduced and then you continue to learn about their lives as they grow.
I was happy to have Avery as a main character. Ty was very well developed and I love his character. Much more than "just a cowboy". I couldn't put the book down.
The Nashville nights series have begun getting repetitive, but....... I still love em. A little cheesy, and the guys are always over the top romantic (most time), but I really do love the books.
