Turning Point

Rate this book
After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend Blane Kirk is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor – his brother’s girlfriend.

And Kade’s not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blane's inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleen's past, to Kathleen' risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship that's just begun to find trust again.

While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Unfortunately, her current case is far more dangerous than anyone knows. Someone close to Blane will go to extreme lengths to split them up, lengths that may prove worse than death for Kathleen.

Kathleen, Blane and Kade must atone for the sins of the past and the present. The fallout will force Kathleen to a turning point...in her career, and her life.

4 Big ★★★★

I was introduced to the Kathleen Turner series in May of 2012. I had not read any romantic suspense before and the first two books were quite enjoyable. Getting to know Kathleen, Blane and Kade as well as a host of secondary characters was a fun ride along with the crazy twisty suspenseful, often times over the top storyline.

The story is thrilling in a murder mystery kind of way and keeps the reader guessing. The situations Kathleen finds herself in are creative and I love the way she can put her big girl pants on and fight back.
She does have the support of two brothers; Blane, the classically handsome, successful attorney, ex Navy SEAL wealthy playboy with political aspirations and Kade, the darkly handsome, bad boy, ex FBI turned hired assassin.

However, there is a bit of a love triangle that definitely makes for some compelling and sexy scenes.
“Neither Blane nor I are your happily-ever-after, princess. Blane will break your heart, and I’m the guy your mom warned you about. Don’t kid yourself about that.”

So, when book 2 Turn to Me ended, I was like hell no I can’t wait that long for book 3. But I did and when I got the arc via Netgalley…. Woo Hoo, I yelled out loud!

This third book in a series of five, did not knock my socks off. But I do believe as the title suggests, this is a ‘Turning Point’ for all involved.

The mysterious storyline was a little stale and the relationship between Blane and Kathleen seemed too forced. There were moments when I was almost routing for Blane as he seemed so trusting, accepting and patient with Kathleen, but she just couldn’t get past her insecurities or her feelings for Kade.

No sh*t.. neither could I. Jump in the sack with him already, would ya! Geez….
Forget the ‘oh I am in love with Blane, but not good enough for him crap’ Love the one you’re with!

description

Of course, Kade did not make it easy for Kathleen to resist him. He comes on to her every chance he gets and they do find themselves in some very compromising situations but… Kathleen stands firm and does not cave. This ticks Kade off just a bit-
“I’ll fuck you, then you can go back to him, and only you and I will know he got my sloppy seconds.”

Kade and Kathleen continue to work as a team with a few close calls on their lives, some human trafficking investigation, the secret involvement of a cousin, and some threats from a political powerhouse warning Kathleen to stay away from Blane and his chances of running for governor.

Kathleen goes undercover at a strip club and her life takes a turn in the wrong direction however she is finally rescued by one of the brothers and you think there may be a HEA….

But both brothers are still vying for Kathleen’s affections and while one proposes the other professes his undying love…

“I look in your eyes and see my soul written there.”
“I want to tell you how I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that you were destined to be my downfall.”

However, don’t be fooled-we have two more books to go. And if you have not read No Turning Back (Kathleen Turner, #1) by Tiffany A. Snow Turn to Me (Kathleen Turner, #2) by Tiffany A. Snow Please do so now!!! As you have until 2/18 until this Turning Point (Kathleen Turner, #3) by Tiffany A. Snow comes out!

I did like the ending of this book. It was refreshing to see Kathleen come to the realization that-
“If I was ever going to be happy, it was up to me to make it happen.”

I highly recommend this series for any of you romantic suspense lovers, or readers of contemporary romance. The murder mystery style- who done it, with a kick ass heroine and a love triangle that will have you changing sides on occasion is an exhilarating ride in more ways than one… *winks*

I hope this is a scene from book 4… Out of Turn (Kathleen Turner, #4) by Tiffany A. Snow

I'm not sure if I can write a review that will do this book justice. I've waited a week to write the review because I was so stunned by the events that happened in TURNING POINT. So stunned, that a week later I still want to run around the room waving my hands in the air and scream "Did that really just happen???" Sort of like this.

As the title of the book suggests, this was definitely a turning point for Kathleen. Kathleen wants to become a good investigator. She wants to be an asset to the law office and help those that need it. She also wants to fix her relationship with Blane (who she really does love) while working on building a platonic relationship with Kade, even though there is an attraction there. But Kathleen discovers she is a pawn in a chess game she had no idea was being played or that the person playing the game was someone very close to Blane. It seemed no facet of her life was left untouched and she came out the other end a very different Kathleen than the one we've gotten to know.

Kathleen isn't the only one at a turning point. Both Blane and Kade find themselves in a position both of them feared might come, but hoped it wouldn't. They both love Kathleen, in their own way, and when that chess game gets turned up, Kathleen isn't the only one picking up the pieces. I was left wondering and hoping that the brothers can and will withstand whatever happens in the next two books. It's obvious the depth of their feelings for each and just how much they need one another in their lives, with or without Kathleen.

As with each book in the series, there is a case that requires some sort of investigating on the parts of our beloved threesome and we get a pretty ugly one. Some unsavory characters, with links to high powered politicians willing to cover things up, are kidnapping women and selling them on the black market. The storyline is gritty, heartbreaking and stays with you well after finishing the book.

This was a tough read, especially the last fifty or so pages. It was emotionally gut-wrenching and at time so absolutely shocking that I found myself with my mouth hanging open. But I have faith in Tiffany Snow and know that (no matter how devastated I might be) the events in TURNING POINT were needed to eventually get Kathleen, Blane and Kade to the place they need to be to find whatever their version of happily ever after is. But until that time comes, I'll be on pins and needles waiting for the next book.

“Neither Blane nor I are your happily-ever-after princess. Blane will break your heart, and I’m the guy your mom warned you about. Don’t kid yourself about that.”

Five bright, shining, golden stars. This has quickly (very quickly, just under three days) become one of my favorite series.

I know some people have issues with love triangles. If that is you, stay away. This series most DEFINITELY revolves around an intense love triangle. But it's one of the better ones I've ever read. Very well done. I have NO IDEA who Kathleen will end up with. None at all, especilly after this book. I see good in both men, I like them both. They also both have their own faults, but so does Kathleen. That doesn't make me like them less, it just makes them human.

My Blane, the politician:

My Kade, the hit man with a heart:

This very quickly became a favorite series of mine. I like the love triangle. Although I do favor one guy over the other, at this point I'd be happy either way and then....spinoff is possible! So we'd just get MORE of the other guy anyways.
Just in case anyone is wondering...I'm still team Kade :D:D:D:D:D

His body blocked mine where I stood. Tipping my head back, I looked up at him. His eyes burned a path down my body.
"Fuck bullets," he rasped. "You're going to be the death of me."

Well, well, well....here we are at that beautiful four solid star rating....but it's still not enough to be above a true 3.5. I'm not sure it will ever be above that, seeing as I hear it only becomes worse (The love traingle, the unbelievable action, the solution to aforementioned triangle..). But, as I've said many times before, this series is a release. I'm not rushing to the next books to immediately move on and I'm only reading it during the week when I'm a little busier-This series is an escape-a moronic, albeit addicting, escape.

"Tell me you don't want me," he demanded. "Look at me in the eye and say you don't feel the heat between us. Do that, and I'll stop."

Maybe since I'm not reading them in a row I won't become as disillusioned as many readers did, and not rushing through them makes them a getaway, of sorts, when I do come back into this wonderful world of 9 lives for Kat and crazy, out of this world situations.

"Neither Blane nor I are your happily-ever-after, princess. Blane will break your heart, and I'm the guy your mom warned you about. Don't kid yourself about that."

I won't say much, seeing as this is a long series and I'm sure I will just be repeating myself, but I will say that with each passing book, I feel worse and worse for the boys. For one? They are in love with a total fruitcake. I don't hate Kathleen, per se, but I also don't admire her. She is strong in her convictions to not hurt Blane, and she does love him, but she sure is all up on Kade a lot....which then makes me feel bad for Kade...who does it to himself

"You make me want things," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Impossible things."

I mean, holy fuck, boys, she's not a siren. She's just a ditz that fell into the lap of someone who has forever changed her world.

 photo 722055_zpsbnintpyn.gif

I understand it's a romance...but there is no reason this chick is worth ruining a brother relationship over. I just...Okay, I'll stop. Secondly, they obviously both want a future with a girl who can't think past dinner. Thirdly, I feel a tad like she's a bit self-righteous when she has no right to be (And then a lot of times she does have the right-I'm not kidding-there are a ton of scenarios zipping through here). And lastly, they continually risk their lives for her. That shit ain't easy.

I snorted in derision. I was so not worth coming between them. Not that I thought I wasn't a decent catch-I was pretty enough, and intelligent.

 photo jennifer-lawrence-quentin-tarantino-movie-1418661022_zpsppl34yhb.gif

But most troublesome, for me, is the look of torment on Kade's face when he sees her and Blane schmoozing it up. Just...wow. It hurts, but I love it. Sick, I know, blah blah. I hate rooting against a relationship, and I hate even more knowing whom she ends up with (yes yes, bad Chelsea, BAD!), but I can't help it-I love both boys and I am not ashamed of it. If I had to choose right now, though, just had to, it would be Kade. Ugh. I feel bad.

He glanced at me. I was already shaking my head. "But I know you won't go. So someone needs to keep an eye on you tonight."
"I volunteer," Kade piped in. "Especially if she's going to wear that."
I shot him a glare. The last thing I needed, or wanted, was him antagonizing Blane.
Kade feigned innocence. "What? Hey, it's better than what you wore in Denver."
In my peripheral vision, I saw Blane's hands tighten on the steering wheel. If I could have climbed over the seat and strangled Kade, I gladly would have.

I'm still waiting, though. I'm waiting for this dark knight that breaks even more out of his shell, because, at the moment, Kade isn't being what I need him to be....but I'm hoping book four will rectify this. I hope hope hope we get to see a different side of Kade we're only seeing in bits and pieces-because now? Blane is the only fully developed male lead, in my opinion.

"Don't get your panties in a twist," Kade said. "Oh wait, I forgot." He leaned across the table. "You're not wearing any."
He took another swallow of his beer, his eyes glittering with mischief as he watched me.
"Thought I wasn't supposed to remind you about that," I said archly.
Kade shrugged. "Doesn't matter. It's all I can think about anyway."

So eh. I dunno. Definitely an improvement on the boys in this one, but Kathleen continues to not shock me lol. I swear, with all this fighting over her, you'd think she had...hmm...no...I won't say it lest you all become disgusted. I am still waiting for something to really wow me with this series...and I'm hoping it's book four because I have NOT heard great things about five. Sigh. Guess we'll see.

Book Three of this Five book series. Enjoyed it. Did not hit the FIVE star mark for me. One of the reasons is that I really found one or five of the situations Kathleen found herself in to be a bit implausible. I know it is fiction, but c’mon.

Kade, what can I say? Still love him. Even when he is out of his leather and jeans….

Whereas Blane always wore cologne,
Kade rarely used the stuff

Blane, I like him but…. my heart beats faster for a bad boy in leather.

It didn’t matter how often I saw him, Kade’s dark beauty never failed to take my breath away. His square jaw, roughened with a day or two’s growth of stubble, tightened. Black hair—which I knew from experience was soft to the touch—fell over his brow. I likened him to a fallen angel, and the description had never been more apt, clad as he was in his customary dark jeans, black shirt, and black leather jacket.

Kathleen is still with Blane, the relationship is up and down. He is keeping things from her. Kade is still training her. This is coined as a “love triangle” book. It is but not necessarily a rigid “triangle” book, per se, Kathleen does not act on her attraction to Kade. She wants to make a go of it with Blane and doesn’t want to jeopradise HIS relationshiop with Kade.

“The sexual tension between Kade and me was thick enough to cut with a knife, but that didn’t mean I had to act on it.”

Of course, I want Kathleen and Kade to DO SOMETHING... but it ain't gonna happen. Damnation.

“Be sure to fall in love with someone who loves you more than you love them,”

“You make me want things,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Impossible things.”

“Kade would find his happily ever after. He had to. It just couldn’t be with me.”

I know most of us who have read this are on either one Team or the other… there were a few times that I wavered a bit and went for the other side….

Well, that was another throughly entertaining installment. And, wow, that was a LOT if action. I'm almost afraid of what is going to happen to Kathleen in the next book, because I swear the ass-kickings she takes seems to double each book. I hope her job has medical insurance.

I must say, while i am happy to swallow a whole lot of crazy stuff because I really enjoy these books, the one thing that keeps happening that is starting to drive me nuts is how Kat manages to get seriously injured, but always feels up to some nooky within hours. I mean, maybe it's just me, but say, if I was shot, or someone tried to cut off one of my fingers, I would probably need like, at least a day before I was in the mood again. Although, to be fair, I don't have Blane, so maybe that's my problem :).

Ok, I need to rant now

I'm seriously conflicted in the Blane/Kade debate. Going into the book, I was still rooting for Kade, and to be honest, I still think he is the best choice for her (at this point), but to me, she made it pretty clear that Blane was her choice. I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out in the next two books.

Excellent read. I cannot wait for the next installment.

Turning Point was an emotional rollercoaster for me!

This book revolves around a case where Blane is defending a man accused of rape. His involvement in this case causes a lot of tension between Kat and Blane. Blane won't give Kat his reasons for taking the case and he keeps a lot of information from her in this book.

Also in this book, Kat is beginning her new job as an investigator with Kade at their law firm. She ends up investigating a case for one of the other partners that ends up being related to Blane's case.

There were so many memorable quotes from Turning Point but a few stuck out for me. The first was when Blane told Kat she smelled like home :) and the second was when Kade told Kat that when he looks into her eyes, he sees his soul written there.

Gosh the last chapter and epilogue in this book about killed me! I felt so bad for Kat, Blane, and Kade. This book was very appropriately named since I think the end of this book was a huge turning point for all of the characters. I am still hoping for a Blane and Kat HEA but am not sure how things are going to work out. I will say that I don't believe their relationship or Kat as a person will ever be the same after the events of this book.

Things I’ve learned:

1. If you are an investigator in training you should totally put yourself in the line of fire and run off to be the hero all the time because you can handle it…..right? And even if you can’t some good looking man will be there to save you.

2. Don’t tell your boyfriend important details of your life like someone trying to blackmail you, his brother hitting on you, your cousin is in town etc. But definitely demand he tell you everything and be mad when he doesn’t.

3. Whenever Blane gives you jewelry someone else will destroy it 15 pages later.

4. It is totally okay to hold hands, get a foot massage and spoon with your boyfriends brother as long as he is on top of the covers.

5. Kathleen will get hit in the head at least three times in the course of any of these books, be beaten and bruise but still be the most beautiful thing either Blane or Kade has ever seen.

Oh the angst of it. I try to stay away from love triangle books because I usually can’t stand the back and forth back and forth, will they or won’t they and I also have a difficult time with a character struggling with emotions for two separate characters especially once they move into the ‘I love you’ category.

But knowing that this is what the book was going into it I’m trying to remain neutral in my feelings for all the characters. I attempt to be Switzerland and I really don’t want to get too attached to either gentleman as I know down the road much like Highlander there can be only one.

That isn’t my problem though I like both men just fine for different reasons and I know at the end of this book there is a lot of Blane hate but I totally get it , so I still love him. Mostly I just don’t really like Kathleen, I struggle with wanting to slap her most of the time, she is a hot mess.

The plots are silly and ridiculous imho and I always figure out the bad guy early. I also see so many of the contrived situations coming a mile away, but I go along for the ride some of it more enjoyable than other parts. I will tell you that I get sucked in and need to see how it ends. Like my good friend Kira says it is book crack and she isn’t wrong.

These are fast paced and since there is almost always something absurd going on they are fun even if you are just rolling your eyes at the new situation that everyone has gotten themselves into. But overall it is nice to just shut off your brain and go with it. I will of course finish the series because I must know who gets the HEA but at this point I’m not sure if I’m rooting for my favorite (sorry I’m leaning slightly in one direction, being Swiss is hard) to end up with Kathleen or to be free of her and her wishy-washy ways.

Just had to get a little rant out of the way. It is all in the spoiler, I'm just going to call bullshit and double standard. Don't read the spoiler tag unless you have finished the book.

10++++ Stars (I LOVED!!!)

The third book in Tiffany Snow’s, Kathleen Turner series, did not disappoint. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this book.

I am ecstatic that there is going to be book #4 and I already loved the first chapter that was the preview in back of the book.

When I finished Turning Point, I immediately when back and read my favorite scenes. I did not want this book to end. I could not put this book down. It was such an amazing read. I cannot think of the proper adjective to describe or tell you just how much I loved this book.

Like in most sequels, I thought that this book would start out slow. NO, this one does not. Tiffany Snow has such a great imagination that there is not one dull moment.

My love letter to Tiffany Snow: This is going to be a shameless letter to you. I do not know how to tell you what an amazing writer you are. I hope there are 100+ books in the Kathleen Turner series. This is hands down my favorite romantic suspense series and you are one of my top 5 favorite authors.

This book carries everything you need in a story to be satisfied. There will be no regrets reading this book. You will not feel like you wasted your time.

Did I skim? NO
Did I fell connected to the characters? Yes.
Did I look forward to returning to the book when I had to stop? Yes. I asked my husband to make dinner for the kids and put them to bed so I can finish this awesome book. I could not stop reading.
Will I re-read? Yes. I already re-read my favorite parts.
Pace of the story? Perfect.
Will I read the sequel? YES. Without a doubt. Is there someone I can bribe to get book #4 now??!! How will I be able to wait until December???!!!!
Positives: The story never got dull. There was always something happening. Great writing.
Negatives: It ended. I did not want it to end. I cannot think of anything negative except that I will have to wait until December to read book #4.
Ending/Cliffhanger: AWESOME!!! I already read the Epilogue three times.

HOLY HELL, THAT ENDING!!!!!!! Get me that next book...like NOW!!!!!! MIND BLOWN!!!!!
 photo tumblr_m73h9eZfsD1rskv9do1_500.gif

Seriously, these books are getting better and better, the tension is building BIG TIME!!! And Kathleen finds herself nipple deep in some BAD SHIT, like Human Trafficking and rape cases. And the life she has come to know is now on the line. And she may not live through it this time...

Her relationship with Blane finally taking seed... her feelings towards him stronger than ever. But Kade has been pressing his advantage like he never has before. Tempting the fates with his undeniable feelings for her. Pushing her, seducing her, and unwillingly showing his hand.

"You make me want things,he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Impossible things.".

Then, Blane steps up and SWOONS THE FUCKING PANTIES OFF HER!!!!

"They say pearls are the moon's tears," Blane said quietly. "Or that maybe they're from angel's wings, moving through a cloud. Their beautiful in their purity, striking in their innocence, humbling in their integrity...Just like you."

And honestly... all this time I had been supporting her in her feelings towards Blane... and I still love the guy... BUT... I think he may have finally FUCKED IT UP beyond repair. And Kade... well Kade has always been there. Not always spreading the love... but he's getting tired of putting his feelings aside. And those feelings he's hiding... they go DEEP.

"You were never in the plan," he whispered. "God, I wish I'd never met you." The anguish in his voice tore through me even as his words cut deep. "Just so I wouldn't have to feel this way anymore."

WHAT IS A GIRL TO DO?!!!

 photo eyes_zps8ee57a9e.gif

Blane? Kade? Blane? Kade? Blane? Kade? Blane? Kade?

Now... I've got to wrap this up... I am DYING to get to the next book. The ending of this one BLEW ME AWAY!!! UHHHHGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT????

" Looking for a date tonight, tall-dark-and dangerous?"

How did she know that was my nickname for Kade? Sweet baby Jesus this book put me through the wringer, I could not stop reading it last night. I think my eyes are all red and I'm kind of book drunk from power reading in the middle of the night and all I can think about is how I want to start book 4!

It has to be a true sign of a good book when I go to update my read status on gr and realise I started this book so quickly I forgot to add it.

I know!!!!

Damn these books are addictive. Each is complete in itself, but the story of Kat, Kade and Blane and their multiple dices with death make for a riveting read, thanks to the sexual tension. This one was my favourite so far. Straight onto the next.

5 It Keeps Getting Better Stars

 photo a951925c-a07b-4b6a-b66e-3ba59fc28c1e_zps03a11531.jpg

What can I say, I love this series!! With each book it just keeps getting better and I am so excited because this doesn’t always happen in a series. Sometimes the story starts to fall flat and I am left feeling that it is time to move on but that is definitely not the case here. Tiffany Snow has done an amazing job at keeping everything fresh by adding in a new character, a little more tension and more twists and turns that will keep you completely engaged in the story.

In Turning Point things were kicked up a notch, not only with the suspense side of the story but more so with the romance side.

On the romance front :

I really wasn’t expecting to feel the way I did about Kathleen and Blane’s relationship. I was resisting it a bit because. My heart does rest with Kade, but Blane stole a piece of my heart in this book.

As Kathleen and Blane try to put their relationship back on track we watch them continue to hit the same roadblocks and frustrations. Blane continues to struggle with trusting Kathleen, not because he doesn’t love her but because he is trying to protect her. This always puts a wedge between but in the end Kat always forgives him. She wants to believe he is doing it because he loves her.

There are a lot of sweet and caring moments between these two along with some hot and sexy moments too! Blane loves Kat in his own way and without question he would give her the world if he could. When Blane pop’s the “big question” Kat wastes no time in accepting but things won’t be that easy for the two of them.

 photo 38b2a85a-1b98-46de-8bcd-37af3bfb977b_zps7869b603.jpg

I have said this before in my other reviews for this series, I’m not usually a fan of love triangles, but for me, this author continues to keep this within the boundaries I am comfortable with. We all have our opinions on what defines a love triangle and for me this series still works for me.

What is happening between Kathleen (Princess) and Kade continues to be intense. Feelings continue to grow even though neither is willing to admit to them. Kathleen has such faith in Kade and he in her. Kade is completely honest with her even if sometimes it hurts to hear some of the things he says.

He will always keep her safe and do what is best for her. Even if that means burying the feelings he has for her. It broke my heart to see Kathleen shove her feelings and emotions aside too.

 photo fd7c521f-02c6-442f-9092-0e9708a40e99_zps79e8755c.jpg

On the suspense front :

Things get crazy for Kathleen, Blane and Kade. There are more intense moments, more twists and turns and more situations that will have Kathleen fighting for her life or fighting to protect Kade or Blane. Kathleen really kicks some ass in this book. All three of them are caught in situations that will have you cringing and saying what the hell! As I turn the pages I really didn’t know what to expect next so when the story line of Human Trafficking comes into play my stomach dropped. The things that happen were intense. Kathleen will be changed forever.

What I loved most about book #3 was how Kathleen just blossomed. She got stronger, more independent and stayed true to herself. I also loved how we were introduced to her cousin Chance. In one way I was a little surprised by the ending but then it moved these characters into a new place that I am excited to read on about. I truly have no clue what is going to happen. I know what I would like to see happen but I will just have to read on to find out won’t I!

These books are so much like crack to me, I can no longer tell if they are actually any good. MOAR PLEASE.

I do find it a bit irritating that practically every single man portrayed up to this point either wants to fuck/rape Kathleen, or kill her. That seems a bit drastic to me... I'd be ok with that being toned down a bit, or for it to stop happening altogether.

WHAT DO I SAY?? This was ridiculously fantastic!!!

I'm already into book #4 so I won't prolong what I want to say. I'll just list my observations:

--Kathleen is kick-ass! Yes, she has faults. Particularly when it comes to being upfront about things having to do with her and Blane. She tries too hard to be independently fierce and it always lands her in trouble. But I'll give an E for effort. She also needs to be a bit more honest with herself.

--A love triangle isn't my favorite thing. But this one is done very well. I have a preference now. My choice is based on the this character's vulnerability and helplessness when it comes to avoiding the object of his desire. He is tough, dangerous and lethal. But one second with Kathleen and he becomes a reluctant warrior, dreaming for the first time in his life of what could be...KADE.

--Blane pissed me off at the end. I'm not alone in this. Although both brothers are phenomenal, I think Blane needs to give Kat more credit where it's due. He needs to treat her more equally, as a partner, not so much as a fragile woman in need. He shouldn't have accepted what he was told and shown so easily. He was also in a very compromising situation himself at one point, so people in glass houses and so forth...

--This is very addictive! Hard to put down. I find myself desperately thinking about what's going to happen more than I should. Very compelling story, excellent suspense and intriguing plot.

--Who will Kat choose? DUNDADADA!! I have my suspicions. But I dare not reveal them yet. Regardless, Blane and Kade are wonderful men, with each offering something different for Kathleen. THE CHASE IS ON!

Love this series!!!!!!!

“Whenever you tell a story, there’s always a twist, a turning point, a point when the story changes.”
Shey Stahl from “Waiting for You”)

For Kathleen Turner, this is the turning point in her story. At the end of the third book, readers are left at a turning point in this series for all three main characters. The popular “triangle” storyline has kept readers breathless wondering which brother will indeed bring Kathleen her happy-ever-after.

Kade shares his feelings for Kathleen and Blane offers her everything she thought she ever wanted. But none can imagine the havoc that awaits them all. There won’t be a happily-ever-after this time around – if ever! In fact, the triangle may be forever broken. Most assuredly the anxiety level increases and it will be a cold day in December before we get another glimpse at Kathleen, Blane, and Kade.

Filled with suspense and danger around every corner, Snow brings out the big guns and ups the danger zone, as well as the sexual tension. BRAVO to Tiffany Snow for giving readers another mesmerizing installment in this marvelous series!

Highly recommend Snow's "Kathleen Turner" series to all romantic suspense lovers.

4.5/5.0
Oh my gosh! This one was awesome! Rip your heart out, tear you apart awesome. I had to re-read the last few chapters repeatedly just to process (which I don't think I have EVER done before.). If not for the total cliff-hanger of an ending, it would have been a 5 star just for the sheer "I can't put this down!" effect. Thank heavens I'm able to binge on the series and didn't have to wait months for the next one to publish.

Well, to make a long story short, it goes something like this...

Kathleen is sort of kind of dating Blane because he broke her heart, but you know, he's Blane so she can't stay away. She's also getting trained to be a spy investigator by Kade. Sexual tension ensues because they always seem to find themselves in these "situations" where one, or both of them, are half naked.

description

Not that I'm complaining though.

Kathleen finds herself in a bad situation. Someone tries to kill her. Mostly because of Blane. He promises to protect her. Everything he does is to protect her.

description

But, per usual, he keeps her in the dark so she does the only plausible thing she can. She takes matters into her own hands. She is after all training to be a spy so she can totally do this on her own.

She infiltrates a strip club. Wears next to nothing. Someone tries to kill her, again. She gets out with a concussion, or two, again.

description

Because Kade saves her. AGAIN

description

During all of this, Kathleen is battling her feelings for both brothers. Well, mostly her feelings for Blane. They kiss, he says something stupid, they fight. He gets horny, they make up. He does something stupid, they fight. She gets horny, they make up.

description

Blane does something good but then right after officially becomes the biggest idiot ever. I constantly I ask myself why I love this book so much. I mean, its sort of ridiculous, right?

description

Oh, nevermind. I get it.

“So I see you’re still a shitload of trouble.”

The adventures of the unlikely trio involved in this high octane, suspenseful romantic triangle series continue. Two half brothers, one ex-FBI turned gun for hire and one ex-Navy SEAL turned high powered attorney compete for the affections of Kathleen Turner, airhead extraordinaire and irredeemable danger magnet (in a particularly tense moment Kade calls her "brainless twit" -ouch!)

In this book she gets fired several times and ends up working at a stripping joint, she is blackmailed, kidnapped while investigating a human trafficking ring, survives an explosion and all three are all nearly killed several times, as usual in this series.

She ends up engaged to Blane for about a day, but struggling to keep Kade from her mind, and the antagonising sexual tension with the "darker" brother was off the charts at times and very enjoyable to read too.

The continuity with previous books remains in her stubbornness, and her harebrained decisions constantly putting everyone else and herself in danger.

All in all I am enjoying this series very much and with this volume it continues being an action packed and thoroughly entertaining roller coaster.

Since book 2.5, Kade's POV companion novel, Kade's Turn I have now changed my sympathies and I have been team Kade all the way, and there were many times during the action when I wished I could have access to Kade's thoughts, so I really loved that Blane's misguided decision to believe the story spun by his evil uncle about Kathleen and Kade having an affair led to the break of their engagement. But then I was overcome with the need for a spoiler and I confess that I could not help it and I have peeked at the end of the last book to know which of the brothers she would end up in the end, so now I know that So I am very happy about it and continuing with the series.

OMG!!! I hate cliffhangers, hahaha....and I just saw the next book isn't coming out till December, someone please just put me out my misery!!!

***Because I read all three books in a matter of a couple days it was hard to me to write one review for each so I combined the review for all three***

OMG!!! Where to start on this review. One thing I can definitely throw out there first is the fact I loved this series and was completely devastated when Book 4 (Out of Turn) was not going to be released till December 2013. The cliffhanger on Book 3(Turning Point) is enough to drive me insane.

I couldn't put these books down practically read them all in like 3 days. I lost a lot of sleep, haha!! Tiffany Snow has a way of capturing you into a story and really making you feel like you are part of it. The story is really well written with very few grammar or spelling issues (that never determines a review for me. The way the story keeps me interested is my decision on the stars it receives). I really like her style of writing and I look forward to reading others by her. I have to say will be putting her on my "Favorite Authors" list for sure!

With the page by page blows of suspense and tension it would drive anyone insane. The love triangle alone is enough to make me pull every bit of my hair out. I have to say though I am leaning more towards Kade. He has really proven to me to be the better man out of the two. Blane has just made to many mistakes to be unforgivable and specially in the end of Turning Point, how could he!!!

Characters:

Kathleen Turner - runner for the high profile law firm of Gage, Kirk and Trent.

Blane Kirk - Ex-Navy Seal and one of the partners in the firm

Kade - Ex-FBI agent turned assassin and Blane's brother

For the most part I loved each character but I have to say Kathleen at times really did get on my nerves with her ignorance and not willing to let go of stupid things. But I love how she was never willing to give up on things that mattered, like solving crimes in order to help honor her fallen friend, to help keep Blane and Kade safe and to save her cousin. Along with her will to do anything to make sure those she cares about are safe, she finds herself always in the line of a danger. I really hope that in the next book she comes out even stronger with what all that has happened and that she doesn't fall easily back into her usual ways with a particular someone.

Oh can I just say the sexual tension that went on in this book was over the top. One minute you are cheering for Blane the next minute you are cheering for Kane. Even though nothing sexual happened between Kathleen in Kade, there was denying the tension that was building. The scenes between Kathleen and Blane were crazy....both men are just Yummy and will make you melt with just the thoughts of what they are capable of doing!! ;-)

There isn't really anything I can say I didn't like about this series, it was just a great series and it kept me turning from one page to the other from the very beginning of the first book. I will be really sad when the series ends. I can definitely see myself reading these books over and over again and never getting tired of them.

Every plot was written well and kept you guessing which direction the stories were going to go. There were times I thought I had the killer picked out but in turn was wrong. Love it when that happens. There have been so many books that I have read that were similar to this series and were always able to tell the killer by the middle of the book.

I highly recommend these books for reading, you will not be disappointed at all. They are far worth the extra spending and I can't wait till Book Four comes out!! Just going to give me an excuse to read the other books again to be refreshed by the new book. Doubt it will matter because these are the type of books that stay in the back of your mind after you read, I won't even come close to forgetting the stories.

This series just keeps getting better and better! And this one is the most dramatic yet, and the steamiest!

Kade is now training Kathleen to be a competent investigator. Which means he’s jogging with her in the morning, taking her to self defense classes etc. All translating to, he’s spending a lot of time with her :)

Blane is defending a guy accused of rape. Kathleen who was almost raped herself is not too happy about Blane’s new assignment. To make matters worse, Blane is considering re-enlisting in the Navy. Kathleen decides she needs to take control of her life with or without Blane’s approval and goes undercover in a strip joint (unbeknownst to Blane) to investigate a case of a missing girl…all this escalates to the most dramatic conclusion!

I’ll start by saying that i’m in love with these three main characters. There’s Blane… that scene of Blane and Kathleen in the car…holy hotness! Yup, the book is definitely steamier than the first two. But of course Blane is so romantic,

“They say pearls are the moon’s tears,” Blane said quietly. “Or that maybe they’re from angels’ wings, moving through a cloud. They’re beautiful in their purity, striking in their innocence, humbling in their integrity…just like you.”

Sigh…

But then there’s Kade…he is so incredibly sexy! I kept thinking that Kathleen has more restraint than I would ever have! And he’s not only sex on legs, this scene almost brought tears to my eyes..

“I look in your eyes and see my soul written there….I want to tell you how I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that you were destined to be my downfall.”

God, who knew Kade could be so sweet right?! Then there’s Kathleen. I have never identified with a character the way I identify with her. Well apart from the throwing herself into dangerous situations, everything else she does or says is so me! Or an amateur sleuth version of me :)

I’ve mentioned before that I love the author’s way of fusing romance and suspense. I wouldn’t change a thing. So much drama in this book, both in the ‘suspense’ and in the ‘romance’. I’m not sure I can even put it into words. That ending was just incredible. Not just with the dramatic rescuing but..jeez…that last chapter and epilogue…I think my heart broke :( i’m speechless and I rarely am.

Tiffany A. Snow has created the best love triangle I’ve ever read. I’m addicted to the characters and I can’t thank her enough for creating a heroine so reminiscent of my favorite heroine growing up….Nancy Drew

PLUS, the book is well written, funny, heart wrenching, dramatic…I could go on and on…

5 stars! And definitely my newest favorite addiction!!!

Whew. What a ride!

Turning Point was such a great read! Full of action, suspense, and Kade, of course.

Ahem. Moving on now.

Turning Point begins a little while after Turn To Me: Kathleen and Blane are still broken up, and Kade, well, he just sits there being awesome while he trains Kathleen. So, you get the gist. Blane is struggling for Kathleen's affections and Kade is trying to be the better person and back off. Yeah. As if.

I think this is one of the books that you just have to read, otherwise I'll spoil it for you. But I'll say this: it involves a road trip, a strip club and Cuba.

My reactions throughout the book:

What are you waiting for? Go grab it!

Now, off to the sequel!

To start off with, I am a follower of this series. I have loved it from the beginning. I am also a firm Team Kade member. I don’t know if I can ever forgive Blane for Kandi. I know he was supposedly doing it to keep Kat safe, but I don’t buy it. I think he took it entirely too far. He just keeps hurting her and she keeps taking him back. Now, with that off my chest…

I had preordered Turning Point and forgotten about it until it magically appeared on my kindle fire. It made my day. This book is so full of drama and real world issues. I love that the author tackles problems that exist in today’s society in her books. Kat is constantly in danger. Blane is once again “protecting” Kat while Kade really does.

Blane definitely worked his way up in my graces until bam he was back at the bottom and worse off than when he started. The man is so damn infuriating. I don’t understand why she doesn’t just give into her feelings with Kade and say screw Blane. She doesn’t want to be a Governor’s wife anyway. And she always feels inferior around him. Why would you want to be with someone like that.

This book had me from the get. I couldn’t put it down. Non-stop action and drama, it was perfect. I also loved the brief preview we got of Out of Turn, the next book in the Kathleen Turner Series. But why, oh why do I have to wait for TEN DAMN MONTHS! Seriously, this is why I don’t follow a series from the beginning. I hate waiting for the next book! But once I get the book, it’s all gravy.
