Relates the events of a crucial summer during which a talented thirteen-year-old tennis player must make a commitment not only to her tennis career but to herself as an individual.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mary Towne grew up in Long Island, California, and Massachusetts. She was associated with the Institute of Children's Literature as an instructor and consultant.
This is another book that I've carried around for years because it has a tennis theme. It was a light read about the dynamics of a normal family that enjoys playing tennis.
