Amber Garza has had a passion for the written word since she was a child making books out of notebook paper and staples. Her hobbies include reading and singing. Coffee and wine are her drinks of choice (not necessarily in that order). She writes while blaring music, and talks about her characters like they're real people. Kenzie is a 17-year-old who undergoes a dramatic change the summer she visits her grandma in California. She meets Isaac and falls in love for the first time. She encounters demonic spirits and becomes a Christian. Upon arriving back home in Washington, she fights feelings for Tanner, who also became a Christian over the past summer. She is dealing with her mom's weird new boyfriend, a statue in the living room, and seeing demonic spirits everywhere. Why is it so hard now that she's a Christian? Shouldn't her senior year be fun? What about her growing feelings for Tanner? Will she choose him and break up with Isaac? Will her mom be okay once her long lost dad shows up? Will Kenzie?

What a heartfelt story of family, growing up, choices, life, heartache and peace. Life isn't meant to be easy for Christians. Kenzie's story portrays that beautifully. Extremely well written, with excellent insight into the mind of a Christian teenager. I love it.

Bravo!

Prowl Trilogy has been on my desk and it kept calling out to me.So I picked up this morning and finished it tonight.I was reminded I have the power to overcome,I am loved and all need to do is call out to Jesus, that His name is power against the darkness.Prowl is like a modern day Frank Peretti book.I knew since I read This Present Darkness/Piercing the Darkness that there is a spiritual war going on around us but it took a backseat in my mind. Thanks for reminding me to stop sitting on the sidelines and get back in the war.

Ok, maybe if I would have done my homework about the author I might not have read this book. I made myself read the first book of the trilogy and it really wasn't too bad. BUT... I understand there is a lack of YA christian literature out there but could you have at least bolded that or put it in as the first line of your book summary. I am a christian I believe in the Holy Trinity, I do not like religion thrown at people. Again, great idea, wrong way to go about it.... Sorry
