In A View from the Top, legendary motivational speaker Zig Ziglar delivers a powerful guide on how to achieve not just success, but true significance in life. Known for his engaging storytelling and timeless wisdom, Ziglar emphasizes that success isn't just about wealth, status, or power—it's about living a life of purpose, integrity, and service to others.

The book is filled with Ziglar's signature blend of personal anecdotes, practical advice, and inspiring lessons. The book inludes themes like goal setting, building strong relationships, maintaining a positive attitude, and leaving a lasting legacy. Ziglar highlights the importance of faith, family, and personal fulfillment.

While the principles in this book are not groundbreaking, Ziglar's warm, encouraging voice and relatable examples make the book both motivational and actionable. Readers will appreciate the simplicity and clarity of his message: true success is measured by the positive impact we have on others.

Recommended For: Anyone seeking inspiration for personal growth, professionals aiming for both career success and life balance, and fans of motivational/self-help books with timeless wisdom to guide their journey.

Zig Ziglar is a motivational speaker and this audio book combined some of his talks into how to find success. I did like his thinking of your attitude and belief system can motivate you. He talked about “Not having a degree, but being educated”. Oh how I wish that was more acceptable in the business world. I have over 25 years experience in my field but no degree and it can be hung on your like a scarlet letter.
I also enjoyed his discussion of the “Automobile University”. I listen to CDs in my car all the time, as I did this discussion.
He had very good ideas, maybe slightly biased to the male gender, but if you could look past that he does have great ideas

This is the 2nd time I've listened to this book by Zig Ziglar. It's an enjoyable listen and I'd forgotten much of the helpful and interesting anecdotes from this recording.

First thing first: To clear the air of any confusion (of which I was included) this is NOT an audiobook version of his classic book from the 1970 "See you at the Top" which I thought it was when I first checked it out. "A View From the Top" is a collection of recordings from his live seminars that have been inter-spliced with some studio-quality recordings Zig made later. You can hear the differences in audio as it switches from one to the other.

Although it was an enjoyable listen, it often takes a sudden and seemingly non-sequitur transition change in subject matter which can be a little distracting. Luckily, the subject matter is pertinent enough to your own life and interesting enough where your train of thought and comprehension of the material is near effortless, and you can get through this program very quickly without ever having to rewind because you didn't comprehend something. That's the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars...is there's no overarching points..it's a conglomeration of multiple books and programs by Zig...so everything is thrown at you in a seemingly compiled and abridged form.

It's an enjoyable listen. The best part is it's all spoken by Zig himself, so it both exciting and enjoyable. Like a good speaker..he does start the program off with some jokes.

If you've read Zig's other material, I'd still say there are things to learn and enjoy here.

I listened to the audio CD version of this book and don't know if the text version is different. The tracks seemed to be hobbled together, and I can't imagine that a book would be as disjointed. There is no doubt that Zig Ziglar is a great and persuasive speaker. There are some excellent nuggets in the material, but I was generally turned off by the "touchy-feely" stuff and more so by the religious proselytizing. This is the first book out of Butler-Bowdon's Top 50 collections that I have not rated at least 4-5 stars, so maybe I missed something. Or maybe I couldn't help shake the feeling that I was listening to such a powerful "salesman" that I had to expend too much energy keeping guard of my healthy skepticism.

This was very good. Had some great stories and experiences. Went beyond the typical motivational speaker and it was certainly nice to hear him encourage prayer, humility and dependence on God, as a Christian, but he encouraged all faiths. Has some good, very specific actionable suggestions at the end. (His voice was quite annoying though... but still worth listening to.)

Good motivational, inspirational material from Zig, shared in his signature style. I appreciated the stories Zig shared about his faith and how God carried him through very difficult times, such as the loss of his daughter. One of the main messages in the book is that life is much more than what money can buy. The things that money can't buy are more important and meaningful.

This audiobook was a great was to "read" this book. He even talks about "Automobile University", or listening to books on your commute. He had several good points about how to move to gain that view from the top, from writing a mission statement to creating a list of people who you are grateful for or even you have not forgiven.
