Every Part of You #1-5

Every Part of You

Rate this book
First published as a five-part e serial novel, Megan Hart's Every Part Of You is now available for the first time as a complete book.

Simone Kahan's been watching Elliott Anderson through her office window for months. He likes to bring women back to his office for late-night trysts, and Simone enjoys her voyeurism until one night, Elliott appears to go too far with his date. The other woman might not be into spanking, but Simone is, and when she meets Elliott in the elevator later that night, she makes sure he’s intrigued enough by her to ask her to go with him to the party he no longer has a date for.

Thrown together by circumstances he’d never have imagined, Elliott isn’t sure what to think about Simone. She’s nothing like the women he normally dates, but something about her draws him in until he can’t stop himself from wanting her…until their goodnight kiss becomes something harder. Harsher.  Simone responds to his rough hands as no woman ever has, and Elliott’s not ready to pursue what he’s always told himself is wrong.

“You’re special,” he said into her mouth as his fingers tightened on her skin. “And you make me crazy. And I hate it.”

Every Part of You is an emotional and steamy novel, in serial form. It has real characters, real feelings, anguish and love. It presents mainly light BDSM elements, but it also happens that you find yourself in the thick of it.

Elliott and Simone are a great but not easy couple. The chemistry between them is vibrant and overpowering. The romance is nicely developed.

All in all, it's a quick and satisfying read.

My detailed reviews at each part of the serial:
Tempts Me
Resists Me
Taunts Me
Denies Me
Takes Me
Bliss. That was it, pure and simple, no way around it. No way to pretend it was anything else. It was bliss and magic and she was head over heels. No going back.
It was love.

Powerful, Edgy, Alluring.

Things move fast and build even faster. i have to say that it all works best when they are all read consecutively in a span of days instead of weeks or months. Each part of the series is made better if you have the next part that comes with it. Reading separately leaves a gap that make things not blend well together.

Thks NetGalley. This read was provided for an honest review.

Megan Hart doesn't shy away from hard stuff in her novels but this just felt disjointed and not as well polished as the others. Especially with the character romance development. 🤷

I do give props for the short haired female lead and her being an alumna of Millersville University, much like myself.

I didn't like this... Elliot was insensitive and selfish. Simone started sounding insecure and was actually the opposite which I like but didn't like the deceit.

Yeah, this is the Megan Hart that captured my heart and turned me inside out with almost every one of her books.

Emotionally driven, razor sharp dialogue, insightful plots, lovable characters, sexy dirrrrrty steamy bedroom scenes.

There is nothing I do not like about this book. The only reason why I didn't read this books years ago, was because I hate to read serials with cliff hangers. I had waited for all the books to be published before I read them. I am a weak person, I can not stand the suspense, and I resent the waiting and the very concept of serials....

Overall a really really enjoyable book to read, this book reminds me why I love love love Megan Hart and how her earlier books stayed in my mind after years and years. She is a master after all.

I thought this story felt familiar, looked in my reading log, and sure enough, I've already read this one. Still, it's a different experience to listen to a book. The narrator for this one didn't work for me - her voice was too raspy, her female voice too low, the male voice too high. The audio quality wasn't great either, it was very tinny. I bought from Audible, used the same setup as usual. Anyhow, the story. I really like Simone. She is strong and knows what she likes and doesn't like. Elliot though. Man, he is so messed up, emotionally constipated. It was hard to watch him hurt Simone again and again. (Not the good kind of pain.)

Ok....first off, bookselling people, please get your titles straight. I read this book under the title HURT THE ONE YOU LOVE.

Geeeeeeesh.

It was an enjoyable enough read, although I couldn’t warm up to the heroine until halfway through the book. When I finished it, the characters/plot didn’t stay with me, as some books will do, although I had the thought while reading: is there anything more than sex keeping these two together?

I received a copy of this book to write an honest review for Cocktails and Books.
EVERY PART OF YOU is a serial novel made up of five books. It’s a dark, erotic, well written story about Elliot Anderson, a partner in a law firm and Simone Kahan, who works in the same building as Elliot. While Simone is working late one night, she looks out her window and notices Elliot’s activities in his office after hours. After that, whenever Simone works late, she watches Elliot hook up with different women in his office late at night. One night when Elliot and Simone are both working late, they accidentally meet in the elevator. Elliot he is arrogant, selfish and terse, but Simone can’t help being attracted to him. Simone is confident in who and what she is. She isn’t intimidated by other people, knows what she wants and always speaks her mind. Simone knows she is flawed, but is able to accept herself for who she is. Elliot is also flawed, but has a hard time acknowledging who he is. At forty two Elliot is inhibited, introverted and not honest with himself or other people. Elliot and Simone are two lost souls who are drawn to each other.
This is a well crafted story with great character development. As the story unfolds we understand Elliot and the circumstances that made him the man he is today. Although, there isn’t much information about Simone’s past. Each book is about sixty pages and continues where the last book left off. I don’t understand why Megan Hart wrote this as serial and I have to admi, it spoiled the story for me. For that reason, I gave the book a lower rating. That being said, I think Megan Hart writes an intense, edgy, sexy read. There is some BDSM in the story.

Oh my. Every Part of You is really good. The chemistry between hero and heroine is scorching. I love that both characters are fully formed adults and how they are portrayed. I love that Simone knew what she liked and was comfortable with telling her lover. Elliott was pretty messed up, for good reasons, and I hated watching him hurt Simone and himself. The sub-plot with Aidan, Simone’s ex, was refreshingly wonderful - they still keep in touch, he gives her what she needs (pain), while in a relationship with his new sub - it was such a clear portrayal of kink, with no long explanations or justifications. All of this is to say that Every Part of You is really good and I recommend it. Any Ms. Hart fan is going to love it.

I really don't know how to rate this one. It was interesting in its way, but really not my thing. Fifty Shades-ish, but not.

Not sure how I feel about this book.

I liked that Simone knew what she liked and didn't shy away from what she wanted. It was the first look at a book with BDSM elements where the woman wasn't a submissive.
I disliked that Elliot's issues made him feel shame what he liked, and that shame ended up not only affecting him, but almost seeped right over to Simone. Not that she felt shame, but his behavior definitely made her doubt herself.

Other than that I didn't really like any one person in this story. Certain things appealed to me, like what I mentioned before, but it didn't really matter to me either way if she and Elliot ended up together.

The only reason I rated it as high as 3 stars is because I was glad to see a woman taking charge of her sexuality without shame.
