This is a great book with a great message for kids. It was intersting and funny, and one that I really enjoyed when I was around Junoir High age. In my opinion, this one was the best of the series. Great salvation message without being preachy, and a good book for helping kids gain interest in reading.

This was an awesome book! (AHH! Stuart's legs...) The best part would be when Grace would appear and Mr. Taylor would add some parts and make it more interesting!

Rating: 3.5 Note: This is Christian fiction and has a heavy influence of Christianity throughout it.

Book 4 in the Arby Jenkins Series. This book can be read alone (though if you want to follow the story sequentially, I recommend reading in order).

Stuart is not yet a Christian and wanting to get out of the Christian school and away from all the heavy Christian influences. The one thing he enjoys about his school, however, is cross country because he is fast and enjoys running as it gives him time to think. Finally, the day comes when Stuart and his mom can move out on their own, but this also means that he must leave his friends at Greenhaven Christian Academy.

Read this book as part of my 6th grade curriculum, and I was expecting a super cheesy, Christianized story that would be difficult to read. However, this book was not that. It did a good job of keeping things realistic while also having a good message that really resonated with my students. They didn't like the ending, but I thought it was surprisingly artistic for a "Christian" kids book.

Actually this is my 3rd time reading this aloud with some of my children. This is the PERFECT middle school aged book to read aloud together. The attitude of the main character, Stuart, is both witty and charming as he learns more about "Christians". This is a lovely coming-of-age Christian story that both boys and girls will enjoy and remember.
