I'm a dedicated aunt and puppy mom. Because I believe in informal learning, I will shamelessly use any situation as a teaching moment for a child. Thus Nala, my chocolate beagle, often becomes an unwitting teaching tool. These stories are inspired by conversations with my niece during our many Sunday afternoon walks.
Christian by faith, a Zen Buddhist by practice, and an obstetrician/gynecologist by professional training, I make my home in Charlotte, NC. "The Puppy's Soul" is my first book.
Received this book through the Goodreads First-Reads giveaway site. The first thing I noticed is how the artwork just popped off the pages. A simple, yet beautiful way to draw young children into the book. I loved the way "Auntie" went through and explained the various world religions to her little niece and how, by reading this book to their children, the parent can open the door and find out what their own child or children might be curious about. I really liked this book. Bravo to the Author for handling what can be a very touchy subject in a fun and easy to understand manner.
