Whilst exploring a distant planet full of alien ruins, Jack and Hope discover a strange device which allows them to re-live the personal experiences of men and women from a long lost world. However a report of the impending arrival of an alien craft changes everything. Could the Nomar empire destroy both sets of worlds or can someone do something to stop them? Follow Jack and Hope in the second part of The Tales of Batharok as they attempt to find the answers to their own salvation but instead find themselves witnessing what could be the last days of a once great civilization.
Originally from the UK Andrew now lives in Germany with his wife and two young sons. He studied English Language & Literature, and Modern & Classical History during two stints at University, and then through a series of adventures found himself in Frankfurt, where he now works and writes.
Thoroughly enjoyed the first in the series and had to come back for more. The second takes off right from the cliffhanger of the first book and we're immediately off and running. Great to see the return and further development of the characters from book one and we get to know more about the nature of the enemy and the continuing series of events that threaten the destruction of a once-great civilization. Although Jack and Hope are back, I did want to get to spend even more time with them and I guess I'll have to read the third book in the series to find out how everything resolves.
I am the author of the Book, so of course I like it - this is the second part of a three part series (or so is planned at the moment) part three should be available by the end of 2013. Please enjoy, and add reviews to Amazon if you did.
I enjoyed this book. The characters from the 1st book come together and evolve more. The plot takes interesting twists. There's a lot of action. While I was a bit less enthusiastic about the 1st volume, this one is a fun romp, and I will be buying the next, if there is to be a third.
