I don't find anything wrong with teacher/student relationships (if it's consensual and safe, DUH), but I'll just say it:

IF YOU'RE SQUICKED OUT BY STUDENT/TEACHER LOVIN', DON'T READ THIS BOOK!

I thought this book was great, it was succinct (none of that "the trees were weighed down with brown and golden leaves, fluttering in the autumn breeze" shit I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR DAMN TREES LOOK LIKE.) and that little twist at the end was super clever.

Although I didn't like that Rose kept calling Tom "Mr. Stone" in her head. That made my left eye twitch.

I liked the premise of this book. Older man falls in love with teenage girl who also happens to be his student. Plus they're werewolves so it had potential to be badass and sexy and could have been done so well. But the writing, god the writing. Terrible and amateur. I couldn't stand the main character, she is such a whiny brat. Wtf did he see in her that he couldn't stay away? She was always moaning and complaining, either about how no one likes her or her parents suck for forgetting about her (which was not written believably. Yes, there are crappy parents in the world who I believe would have forgotten their children in situations like this, but the writer didn't actually describe them like that. She just wrote a bitchy girls teenage angst towards her parents and expected us to hate them, too. It wasn't believable that they were so awful.) and also forever complaining about how her and Mr. Stone can't be together in public, even though she knows he'll go to jail, bitching because he won't let his childish 17 year old girlfriend move into his house, once again even though she knows if they're caught that he'll to to jail. She hardly even bothers trying to hide her involvement with him, her friend Estelle knows, she basically tells Sadie, and she reveals his name to her parents. It wasn't written believably enough. An actual girl in her shoes would not be so fucking stupid. I didn't buy it one bit. Also, wtf is she doing, constantly referring to him as 'Mr. Stone' even after she learns his name? In public yes, but in private and in her head, no. The writer has her calling him Mr. Stone while they're having sex. Uh, no. How stupid. All in all, do not waste your money on this book. Even if it were free, this drivel isn't worth your time.

Some of the things Kate said about her novel, mainly that it’s “Controversial” and “Not for the easily offended”, are very accurate for this book. The story involves a 17 year old girl, Rose, who has a problem with werewolves once a month. More specifically, she turns into one. When a new teacher shows up at her school, she feels a connection to him that can’t be explained. The controversy is that while she is 17, technically a year underage, he is 32. I personally have no issues with couples who are years apart in age, but I suspect some people may be uncomfortable reading about these two during some of the more intimate moments, and there are some, believe me!

I enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were well established. There aren’t that many supporting roles, but that’s okay, because we’re given a more intimate perception reading from Rose’s point of view, and it is a romance novel at heart, so writing in any more characters may have just dragged down the story. Rose was a compelling teenager to read about. She has problems like a lot of teens have at that age in addition to her curse, but she doesn’t fall into the stereotype of whining, annoying main character that some others do. We see very little, if anything of the werewolf that she turns into, but I personally like that it’s not about the werewolf so much as her trying to live with the curse. As for the relationship – no matter what the outlook is of the age difference between Rose and Tom, I will say that it was very believable. Kate did a wonderful job portraying them as people who looked passed age and rules and came together because of their connection and feelings. A very nice twist at the end solidifies their love for one another, and I think readers will be satisfied with the ending.

My only complaints would come from the length of the book, which is a little over 50,000 words, and then a few transitional moments between characters. Personally I consider 50,000 words short for what’s considered a full length novel, but at the same time the story had a solid beginning, middle and end. The transitional problems were few, but they managed to take me out of the story when I read them – things like a character being angry on one page, then a page later relaxed.

Overall, even though paranormal romance isn’t my preferred cup of tea, I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next. Kate has a talent for creating believable, endearing characters even when it’s in a controversial situation. If you enjoy paranormal romance, and you’re not offended by the student/teacher relationship, then definitely give this one a read through.

A Student/Teacher Paranormal Romance. (NOT Y.A)
OUT NOW!

Seventeen year old Rose Goldman is highly unpopular in the little town of Halfway. Ever since the 'attack' when she was a little girl, people and animals have been afraid of her. She gets bullied in school, and called 'wet dog' because of the way she smells, despite being extremely hygienic. However, life takes a turn when a new teacher starts at Halfway High. Mr. Stone, the quirky and charismatic English teacher is twice Rose's age, but she feels an unexplainable pull towards him from day one. Despite her better judgment, Rose pursues a friendship with Mr. Stone, who seems unable to stay away from her. What is pulling this unlikely pair together?

My Thoughts

Let me start off by saying that this is a new author for me and I did enjoy her current novel.

Rose Goldman is a young teenage girl of seventeen who has been bitten many years ago on a family outing. Rose is basically a loner with not many friends an very a shy person.I have to say that Rose for me was a character that you had to warm up to probably for me was due to her aloofness making her not such a like-able character. But, once we get to know Rose you will feel differently. Can you imagine the pressure of such a young girl dealing with changing into a werewolf once a month with no guidance from any one and really not knowing what truly is happening and why?

My favorite character was Mr. Stone he was truly a kind and loving person. He really was responsible for the growth of Rose's character throughout this book.He is the one person who will help Rose grow to be a more confidant person and have more of a true understanding about who and what she has become.

Characters that I didn't like were Rose's parents.I found them both to be unlovable and very selfish people.

This was a cute and sweet romance that developed between and student and her teacher Mr. Stone.I think that some people will be put off by this because of ones moral thinking but, you also have to realize this is a work of fiction and not a real situation .Also this is a situation of Roses experience for the first time as her true self as a wolf and a Alpha one at that. They are stronger than any others .Mr Stone happened to be a werewolf who was attuned to Rose with feelings of want and need towards her knowing in his right mind he should stay away and fight these feelings he has. That being said Rose could not help the way she felt about Mr. Stone either she had the same attraction toward him as he had for her.

This was a journey of a sweet love story that developed between a couple .Also a journey about discovery of ones true self. Two strangers came to together and were able to heal one another with there love for one other.

Found this book to be a fast paced read. The story was engrossing that kept you turning the pages as secrets come to light for both couples and we experience the dangers together that this couple is experiencing in the now and the future.

I have to say that I was rooting for this couple to find true love that one deserves knowing there plight was going to be a difficult one and the obstacles that this couple will have to face if they want to succeed at being a couple.

My one pet peeve of the story was that I found Rose to be a little selfish at times.I could understand her feelings for Mr Stone and what she felt for him but, she never realized that of the trouble or the outcome of what really could happen if they relationship were to come to light. That being said it could just have been because she was experiencing love for the first time and just got caught up in the romance and two that she was a Alpha wolf ( to be a bit overpowering)as that is there true nature. So no matter or how long and hard Mr. Stone denied himself Rose would have won in the end due to her true nature of being born a Alpha Wolf.

I can only imagine what I must have been like for Rose after being bitten and what her fears must have been. What anxieties she must be have been experiencing every month. How lonely it must be for her to keep to herself not letting anyone truly get to know her because of her affliction in the hope she might not come to harm others because of it.Not understanding what is happening to you an why?Feeling your all alone in the world with no one to understand you or someone to talk about what you are going through. What the cost of keeping this secret must have been like and what would happen for fear of discovery should it come to light. My heart truly bled for her and what she must have gone through.....

An infectious read not to be missed.I will be looking forward to the next installment to see were Rose and Mr. Stones adventure will lead them.

I was strangely drawn to this book; I love werewolves and have yet to read anything shelved under New Adult but the taboo Student / Teacher relationship was definitely a concern. Curiosity eventually got the best of me and I just couldn’t resist anymore. And then, I simply could not look away. This novel did a train wreck number on my emotions; the logical side of me kept shaking her head saying no-no-no while as my wicked side was screaming YES-YES-YES! Alpha Girl blew my freaking mind!

The werewolf aspects of this story were awesome. I loved that Rose and Tom are drawn to each other because of how they smell. Their attraction is on such a primal level that it wasn’t as shocking when it eventually trumps everything. At first, I didn’t think of Rose as an alpha because she’s shy and quiet but as the story progresses her dominance really comes out, especially around Stone. Goldman also has to shift on every full moon and it’s not the typical type of transformation found in most werewolf books which I found refreshing. The ending promised even more furry goodness is to come in Lone Girl.

I liked the running countdown that Bloomfield has at the beginning of each chapter. It didn’t take me long to puzzle it out but once I did, it made me love this book even more. Kate’s writing flows nicely which makes Alpha Girl‘s 212 pages fly by way too fast. I’m typically not a fan of authors who throw a young main character’s parents under the bus but in this case I think it suited the story. I definitely had no qualms about hating them. Rose’s parents brainwashed her into believing that the W-word is a disease and also the cause of their divorce, not to mention that they lock her up in the basement during her “time of the month”.

Rose and Stone’s relationship made me hate myself for wanting to turn the page. I loved that she pursued him aggressively and that he put up a valiant effort to dissuade her. At times I thought that Tom was a real creep but at others I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. There are also glimpses of Fifty in their student / teacher relationship. Stone gives Goldman detention to re-claim his alpha role at school and she kowtows by calling him sir. Like I said, a train-wreck.

There’s way more to this book than either the blurb or my review can, in good conscience, share. The main plot revolves around so much more than just Kate and Stone’s forbidden love; the whole comes together in a beautiful yet utterly shocking way. Once you start reading Alpha Girl you will not be able to look away.

I don't know if the teacher/relationship and the wolf thing worked together for me. It felt like I was reading two different stories at times. There was just something about it the writing that didn't give the two points a cohesive feeling. I give the book 2 stars because it wasn't bad, but I enjoyed the first half a lot and the rest no so much. The second half felt a little predictable and the characters strayed a bit from what initially attracted me to them.

I thought Alpha Girl started off strong enough. I liked Rose as sort of an outsider. She was quiet, but as the story progressed she started to come out of her shell and develop nicely as a character. I also loved the way the author chose to write her affliction. It upped the mysterious feel. Mr. Stone started off as a quirky character with potential. I was in at that point, but as soon as they got together, I felt like the character development went topsy turvy, like I was reading about two different sets of characters. They just got so blah. The romance angle was intriguing at first, but I felt like it morphed into a Harlequin romance real quick (and you all know how I feel about those). The dialogue just got really cheesy and Mr. Stone got really confusing.

Towards the second half of the book, I felt things got a bit dramatic in spots even though not much happens. Alpha Girl has a nice tone to it, but the writing felt a bit stilted in parts and there were a lot of spots where contractions were needed. In terms of plot, I felt like the book needed more action. I was bored by the second half and it didn't help that our MC's were both kind of soft. All in all, this book has potential, but the story and writing needs a bit of work. I might read the next book in the series. Not sure.

This book was intriguing to me from the very beginning. A teacher student romance with a paranormal twist? Who wouldn't be interested in a book like that. I read the whole thing in one sitting because, basically, I wanted to know what was going to happen between the pair. I wanted to know if society would keep them apart and I wanted to see the repercussions if they were caught. Even thought this is a slightly paranormal read, as you can very well guess from the description and cover, the actions, reactions, and repercussions that occurred in the book were very believable. It is a cute read if you are looking for something with a sweet romance between two characters, but, like the description says, do not read it if you are uncomfortable with the idea of a romantic relationship between a student and teacher.

I liked Mr. Stone. He was sort of a dork and a classic professor. Also, some of the things he said made me laugh (although I am sure it was unintentional). I really felt bad for him when he was struggling through his feelings and thinking of the repercussions Rose was just all- to hell with the law! We won't get caught. Don't get me wrong. I liked her. She was sweet and had a lot to deal with and I can understand her need for a deep relationship like the one she wanted with Mr. Stone. (Something that got confusing throughout the book, however, was when she kept switching back and forth between calling him Mr. Stone and his real name.)

Other than that, it was a very sweet, somewhat sad read with believable characters and scenes. I am intrigued to know what will happen between them, though. And the ending was unconventional and sweet. (:

I'm highly disappointed in this read.
Yeah, the book touched the subjects of werewolves and romantic relationships between student and teacher BUT I still felt as if everything was unethical and unrealistic considering.

The main character, Rose, was very annoying and childish. Tom, or Mr. Stone, was no better.

Both characters were highly lacking and there was no growth or development between them or the storyline.

As for Rose's parentals you may ask? Omg don't even get me started!!!! Worst parents of the year!! They're so neglectful of and forgetful of Rose when she needs them the most and when she clearly wants them to step back then they try to be her parents?! What the hell?!

I swear, I literally blew a gasket when Rose's mom would bring her guy 'friends' over to their family home in front of Rose but thought it was okay to go postal when she found out about Rose's relationship with Tom pass judgement. Honey, look in the mirror! I so wanted to punch you out even more when you ratted Tom out to the police. Such an immoral hypocrite. I mean, I see her objections with him being fee daughter's teacher and being like 15 years older but her justifications still didn't make what she did right in my book. Rose is 17 going on 18 in about three months mom!! You're going to have to accept his place in Rose's life as she will be an adult and leaving the nest very soon.

Gah, I'm so frustrated now.

Oh my...

Alpha Girl was one of the most uncomfortable yet captivating reading experiences I have ever had. I need to put one thing out there first: Alpha Girl is NOT a YA book. It has frequent strong language and features graphic sexual encounters between a seventeen-year-old girl and her English teacher. I would consider this paranormal erotica rather than YA.

Anyway, I was riveted. This isn't an epic supernatural extravaganza that rings through the ages... Alpha Girl is actually quite intimate and has a fairly small cast of characters. The protagonist is very believable and wasn't annoying, which is a frequent problem in a lot of books featuring teenage lead characters narrating in the first-person. Not a whole lot of action, but this is a romance (albeit a twisted one). Of course, it was still very thrilling, and the suspense cranks tighter and tighter as the books progresses.

Don't pick up this book expecting a darkly sweet, cutesy love story. This book will blast you out of your comfort zone and make you hate yourself for turning the page. But you will turn the page.

I devoured Alpha Girl within a few hours after starting it. In the same vein as "Blood and Chocolate," Alpha Girl delivers hot and heavy tension, along with some difficult adult situations that a teenager shouldn't have to be faced with. But, of course, Rose isn't your typical teenage girl. She's a werewolf, and I quickly became wrapped up in her story. She's an understated herione, and in fact, she's kind of the bad gal in monster-verse. Part of Bloomfield's brilliance was in writing this in a way that allows us to see just how different being a werewolf is.
And the romance, whew, sign me up for a Mr. Stone. He's stone-cold-foxy older man, is what he is. And I just loved how wild he was about Rose. But don't take my word for it, read Alpha Girl for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
A refreshing, breathless and lusty tale, not for the feint of heart.

It's so wrong. It's so wrong but you're not going to care. Rose is amazing. She an alpha girl, and he's not going to stop until she gets what she wants. The only problem is, what she wants is just a little bit illegal.

Loved it.

I was immediately drawn to this book for the cover, the coloring and Rose's eyes. I had to know what she held in those eyes. Alpha Girl delves into the highly controversial teacher/student relationship story, with a lovely little werewolf twist so that Bloomfield can add her own flavor to the mix!

I devoured this book in one setting, the characters grabbed my attention at the start and the story flowed well keeping my attention throughout. Our story centers around Rose and Mr. Stone and their forbidden relationship. Rose is an outcast among her peers, she hasn't been comfortable in her own skin since she was "attacked" when she was a child. Add to that her emotionally absent parents and her sudden unexplainable attraction to the new teacher at school and we are off to a fantastic start!

Then we have Mr. Stone, the slightly dorky, but very attractive new teacher. Mr. Stone knows all Rose's favorite literature stories inside out, he's kind and supportive when everyone else in her life is not. It's no wonder she likes him, she's starved for the attention he gives. But is there something more to the mutual feelings and connection they seem to share? Why can't Mr. Stone tell Rose no?

There's not a lot of action per say in this book, but what is lacking in that aspect is made up for with the suspense. I loved Bloomfield's take on Rose turning into a "monster" every 28 days, that made me chuckle and added that little something that set her story apart from other books in the genre. There are a few twists toward the end that will surprise you as well.

The story dropped off a bit about 2/3 of the way through, but quickly picked back up. Overall this was an exciting and fresh read for me, I definitely recommend to any New Adult and werewolf fans.

Rose is the type of girl who would keep her voice silent unless being spoken to. When she was 9 years old, she was attacked by a, you guessed it, wolf. A werewolf to put it more specifically. A new teacher, Mr. Stone, suddenly arrives in her English class and the pull between these two characters becomes irresistible. They can't stay away from each other.

Ok, so I was pretty intrigued with the summary of the plot, but was definitely surprise to find that this book had some mature contents. Luckily, the author warned about that in the beginning of the book. When I started reading this book, it didn't make sense how the protagonist suddenly lost most of her personality after she'd been attacked. Rose is dull, sees everything black and white, and becomes depress in some times, or from what she says so in the book. I cringe when Rose and her parents, specifically her mom, approached the situation with such immaturity.

When Tom, aka Mr. Stone, comes in, Rose feels a pull towards him as does he towards her. The thing is he is 15 years older than her. Now, it is common that in most werewolf novels, mates have large age gaps, so I try not to judge on it even though I do not agree with the age difference. Tom didn't really have that connection as a character from my perspective, but that is just my opinion.

The writing of this book was a lot like fanfiction. If I'm not mistaken, I think this was first posted on Wattpad? It was a fast-paced book that didn't really have that much depth into the story. Do not have an interest on reading the next book. Some may like this book and that's fine. It was an okay read on my part, but like I said to all my other reviews with low ratings: this book is not for me.

As I read Alpha Girl, I was so totally able to relate to Rose. I remember feeling that way in school, walking around and being ostracized. Sure, I wasn't carrying the level of secret that she carries, but I carried the same weight of self-loathing that I think Rose is dealing with as we first meet her.
Bloomfield has a true talent for capturing the voice of the teenager as she is writing her various teen characters, which is refreshing. There are YA authors who have no idea how to voice more than one level of a character type's age. I felt that the school settings were very believable.
The romance aspect of this story is equally nice, it builds slowly and comes to a very good conclusion, all though there is a moment when you wonder if there is going to be a huge issue that might leave you cursing the author... wait you don't curse the author if they kill off a character? Imagine that. Thankfully all characters fulfill their duties within this story very well.
There were a few things that prevented me from granting this book the coveted 5 Star Review .... remember, I am the opinionated reviewer for a reason. I did not feel that the family dynamics played out very well within the story. I felt that Rose's parents were almost an after-thought to the tale and thus not as well developed as I would have liked to see. In the beginning they are like shadows and by the end they hover too much, and that was not a really believable transition for the story being told. As this is book one in a series though, I am hoping that I will easily be able to give the next book the 5 Star, which is often the case.

Alpha Girl (Wolfling #1) by Kate Bloomfield

Alpha Girl is a well written novel; I really enjoyed Kate Bloomfield writing. The characters were developed well I ended up really liking Rose and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. This story was medium length read, easy to read and it flowed smoothly. There were parts where I felt some of the story was a bit rushed, but I found I still really enjoyed the story and enjoyed reading about Rose as she came out of her shell.

Rose is quiet, very shy almost appears to be withdrawn, but as the story moves along we see Rose as a mature young woman, she has more confidence and even comes across bold when she is talking to Mr. Stone. Mr. Stone came across a bit odd and was hard for me to like him knowing he was Rose’s teacher. But the difference here is he doesn’t pursue Rose she goes after him.

Her attraction to Mr. Stone was different for me and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this story because of the teacher/student relationship, but as I got to know Rose and remembered that she is an alpha wolf I put it all in perspective. At first they do feel the attraction but both keep the secret of what they are and it holds them back for a short time.

The romance and attraction between Rose and Mr. Stone happens fairly fast and Rose is the instigator in this, there is some sexual content between the two and will say it was written well. All and all the story kept my attention and I really enjoyed Kate’s writing and definitely will read the second book in this series.

I have rated Alpha Girl 3.5 stars. If you like romance, werewolves then this could be a book for you. Stop by and check it out.

Gosh, this was awful!

It started out pretty decent. I was really liking Rose, since she was an outsider, but she wasn't the type of sitting there whining about it, plus she seemed to be a very clever, very sensible girl.

She was pretty unique in a very interesting way. She seemed to have great insight about everyone around her, yet she didn't really seem to care about people or feel too much.

And when Mr Stone, the new English teacher, first appeared, she was the only forsaken soul in that school that didn't give a damn about him. All the girls were freaking out, rambling about how hot the new teacher was, yet Rose, when asked about her opinion, said "He's ok, I guess."

Besides, she said it herself she didn't really feel much.

Now, can you imagine my surprise when Rose developed this crazed love, which was more like a huge obsession to me, for Mr Stone?

Nothing happened that could lead her to that. It was completley unexpected to me.

The entire relationship between those two just didn't feel natural to me. It was really forced and it definitely gave me the creeps. And I'm not saying this because of the age difference.

Really, how natural it is to refer to the guy you supposedly love as 'Mr Stone'?

That happened throughout the entire book, even after the deed was done, as they say. xD

That was so weird, even because when I think about that name I picture an old ass creep with greasy hands and hair that's going to come to my house at night and snatch me from my bed.

So not romantic!

And I must say all that push and pull between Mr Stone and Rose and the drama between her and her parents didn't enriched the story either.

Read the book at your own risk.

LOVED IT. LOVED IT. LOVED IT! I might be biased because I love the paranormal (especially the focused paranormal creature in this novel) and I love student/teacher relationships (usually if they're close in age). The 15 year age gap wasn't that huge of a bother to me just because I like imagining celebrities as characters in the book so I can imagine plenty of hot male actors who could play Mr. Stone's role <3 I'd define the reading age for this novel as maybe a paranormal mature YA/New adult genre just because of the sexual content that goes on.

I sympathized for Rose for all the shit she's gone through ever since the incident. From the attack to being picked on and knowing that your parents have affairs just plain sucks. I was thrilled to see she finally had something looking up for her. But, like all novels, the sunshine and rainbows never last. I absolutely hated her mom and was thrilled when Rose talked back to her.

"I held up a hand to silence her. ‘Save it,’ I said. ‘You’re mad if you think I’m going to live with irresponsible parents like you and Dad.’
‘You need us to take care of you every month,’ my mother said.
‘No, Mom,’ I said. ‘I need you to take care of me all of the time.’
"

I was all like, "YEAH ROSE, YOU GO GIRL!."
-Ahem-

All jokes aside, I really enjoyed the book. I'm sad that the book wasn't as long as I wanted to be, but that's fine since it's a series. I highly recommend it for paranormal fans who enjoy romance, some sexual content, and enjoy student/teacher relationships.

This was an interesting story about a student/teacher relationship with the added bonus of being a werewolf. I did like the fact that this was not just another werewolf story that the main focus was on the relationship. The way that Rose was portrayed as any real live seventeen year old with her witty attitude and conflicts at home. You can really sympathize with Rose and everything she is going through with her parents at home, school and now a complicated relationship. I can say that the characters were all well developed and we were able to get enough background information that transitions into the story very smoothly. The story was well written and it keeps you interested in the story and wanting to know how it will all unfold. I liked both twist in the story when it comes to Mr. Stone especially the last one because it was unexpected. The way he explains to her why he wasn’t there and the realization of what happened to him those 6 yrs ago and the part Rose plays in it all left me reeling. The book had great socking moments as well as great romantic moments. As a romance it was great with its added swooning moments that just made Mr. Stone adorable. Poor Mr. Stone goes through many internal conflicts because of his desire for Rose but it does add a touch of that forbidden romance that we all love. The more adult content was tasteful well written and not to scandalous. Overall it was a good book and I do recommend it to anyone that loves a good paranormal romance.

This book was unlike anything that I have read before. Relatively quickly into the story you realize what Rose's issue is. It takes a few extra chapters in before you figure out what the issue is with Mr. Stone. Or should I say suspect what the issue is. The relationships that are in this story are much like Rose, a little bit outside of normal.

This story kept me up late into the night. Because I just had to know what was going to happen. Sadly just as I was seriously getting involved in the characters and growing to really like them, the story ended. If my husband wasn't sleeping I probably would have screamed. I will definitely be getting the next book in this series.

All in all, the story itself rates 4 stars from me. I enjoyed it, and I would say to give it a read.

Details/Disclaimer: Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

When a character awkwardly introduces herself at the beginning of the book, you instantly judge it and assume that it’s going to be not as well written as you hoped. But I was pleasantly surprised when Alpha Girl turned out to be a book that I couldn’t put down!

I’ve read a few books where there is a student/teacher romantic relationship going on, but Alpha Girl was one with a twist. They were both werewolves.

At first, neither student or teacher knew that the other was a werewolf that would change on every full moon. But then secrets were revealed and things moved along quickly.

I received this book for free in a Goodreads Giveaway. I really enjoyed reading this story. A very strange but romantic story of a girl who is drawn to her older teacher but she is not sure why. I finished this book a while ago but really wanted to think about what i was going to say about it. Once i started reading this novel and i did not stop until i finished it. A very quick read but you were still able to get to know the characters. I loved the tension between Rose and Mr. Stone. I hope to see more books in the future written by Kate Bloomfield which is hopefully a sequel.

Kate is a great author and gifted this book to me before its release date. This book was very creative. I can't believe the plot is written in such a way that you know you're supposed to disagree on a moral level with everything that is going on, but you can't. You're rooting for them the entire time despite the obvious flaws. I love how the ending shocks the reader who was on Rose's side the entire time to showing Tom as the victim. I would definitely read a sequel to this about their life in the pack! I can't wait for more of her work!

This is the first book I have read from the author and it's so hot! It's the whole forbidden-naughty love thing that's going on between the characters that really kept me glued to the page. Reading the last few chapters was kinda like watching a car crash happen but I am really GLAD that it ended sort of happily.

All I can say Is I will be diligently waiting for the next one and hoping the author will not disappoint by splitting the couple up.

If you are the author and reading this, please keep them together forever!

Rose Goldman is a misfit, she is teased about her odd smell and unruliness in her appearance. When new teacher Thomas Stone starts at her highschool, she feels something calm about him. Little do they realize both of them share a secret they hide every month from others. There is a calm they both desperately want but Rose is only seventeen and he is her teacher. Lines are crossed, but Rose knows Tom is her mate.

This was interesting, it started off really good but got a little muddy towards the end. Overall intriguing, I am curious what happens next.

I enjoyed this book very much. I was able to relate to Rose with her outcast status and found her character very mature. I loved how the relationship began with Mr Stone. The secret stares and the kisses... I found it sweet and romantic. Some may shy away at the fact that she was 17 and he was older, but come on, it's a paranormal, what do expect really. I would definitely recommend this to other reads.

IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Can't resist to finish Alpha Girl in one sitting!

I never thought this was an adult book! Well, I loved it! This book exceeded my expectations. Anyway, since I have read other adult novels, this was fresh for me. All of the adult novels I've read so far, all men protagonists are filthy rich and this was an exception to it. And let's not forget some supernatural happenings here. I'm looking forward for a sequel. And I hope there's more!

I read as much of this book as I could take. I'm all for writers taking liberties and stretching the boundaries of society to create a compelling tale for their readers. I draw the line, a hard-line, at pedophilia and adults having sex with children for ANY reason. I quit reading when the 17 year-old high school girl started pressuring her 32 year-old teacher to get hot an heavy. I don't care what the pretense is, its just wrong. I had to remove this book form my kindle.

I just bought this as in ebook cause I couldn't wait for the actual delivery. What really attracted me to this: Halfway reminding me of Hathaway as in vampire academy ( ya I'm addicted), the name ROSE and the forbidden romance with someone older than her. YAY!!!!
I hope this will not disappoint cause I'm so freaking excited to read it.

Review: I was not disappointed. But I was not fascinated much either. It was good. I'll review later. Gotta catch the plane.
