Kids and adults alike will love this multi-touch activity book that tells the charming story of a cat that just won't give up in his search for a new family! Ocho and Ono are not excited about the idea of letting another kitty friend into their perfect lives, but Tiger refuses to take no for an answer.
You'll love the clever rhymes, the engaging artwork, and most of all the unforgettable story about how three cats become great friends. Be prepared for your kids to ask for this story over and over again!
A gorgeous little children's book with bright, cartoonish illustrations and a wonderful rhyming story. Certainly put a smile on my face. Look out for another of their friends sneaking into the pics as well.
What a charming story! Ono and Ocho think they have a good thing going with just themselves as the only pets in this house when stray cat Tiger shows up. “Now you might think that three cats are more fun that two, / But Ocho and Ono knew better than you!”
Now readers will already guess that Tiger will become part of this family, but authors David and Michele Keyes make the ride enjoyable with the help of illustrator Ammar Degas, who endows the cats with some sassy style. Recommended for young and old.
Specially thanks to Foxy for bringing attention to the humorous story.
As a Crazy Cat Lady in training I loved this book. Better than that though, as the "Fun Aunt" as my nephews have dubbed me, they loved getting and reading this book with me. These cool cats rock!
A rather quirky, fun and amusing picture story, your kids would surely like, Ocho and Ono they are rather funny. This book can be read to your kids at fun time, bedtime and anytime, they would enjoy the colorful and vibrant illustrations along with the story they tell. It will also teach your kids all about acceptance, sharing and how not to be selfish.
To be honest, the cover of this book pulled me in. My kids just got kittens, and I thought they would enjoy a cat book. I'm glad that I jumped! This book is so much fun. It's not often that I write reviews, but the response from my kids was unusually good. I bought the Kindle version, and the kids have asked for the this story for the last five nights.
The best part of this book is that it will help a little girl get a diabetic awareness dog, but it was also a good story about accepting new friends, even when we don't think we need any.
This is a short children’s book about two cats not liking a third cat joining them but eventually accepting it and admitting that it’s better to have three cats than two. It’s a cute story with a rhyme scheme, so my rating is 4 stars.
What a sweet story that shows kids once you get to know someone whom some make call a outcast they really may just need a friend. These three kitties show me that.
This was a nice short story about getting a new pet in the family. The illustrations were nice and colorful. Which would attract a child's eye. The simple wording and rhymes make the story entertaining. Although, I would have liked the cats to be a little more cuter and have some more confirmations. To make the story a little more deeper.
Ono & Ocho are housemates, brothers that get their fur ruffled when a stranger- El Tigre joins their family. By the end they're just a bigger family. Shows how to get along and share plus make new 'friends'. Even if they weren't invited. Plus proceeds from book goes to help a little girl with medical expenses. A bonus to for a good kids book!

What is funnier than 2 cats? Well, if you ask them, absolutely nothing. Tiger had a better idea and try as they might, they would not be rid of him. Well, if you can't beat um, join um!
A cute story of a stray who adopts a new family. It is sweet and full of fun.
Ocho and Ono are brother cats who are quite content with just the two of them. They play and sleep together. But one day, a cat named Tiger shows up and desperately wants to live in their house. No mater what they do, they can't get rid of him. Eventually he wins them over and they realize that they can have just as much fun (or maybe more) as a threesome.
This was a great little story. My kids really enjoyed it. The illustrations added to the story and were very well done. Highly recommend to those with young kids who need a rhyming book with a lesson of learning to accept others.
I’d read this again for three reasons: First, those cats are super cute! Second the rhymes are original and not always predictable. Three, the book has been created for a noble cause. Very sweet.
This rhyming story has really inviting artwork that young children will love. It's a simple, relatable story and the stray cat the family takes in ties in to the appeal at the book's end to learn about and help stray and feral cats.
This book is very easy to read and has very fun and colorful illustrations. The story is fairly short and teaches kids about the importance of being inclusive while also touching on the idea of “adopt, don’t shop.” The end of the book provides pictures of cute kittens from an animal shelter.
Any household with cats will recognize some of these cats' traits and behavior. It's a cute, funny, and heartwarming story with colorful illustrations. I got a kick out of Tiger's persistence, he made me think of the song, "The Cat Came Back."
Ocho and Ono had a hard time at first, allowing another cat in. They liked it being just the two of them. Then, when Tiger came, they realized three is better than 2. Excellent story for children. I can't wait to read to my nephew.
