Heartbroken, driven by despair, anger and grief, but determined to forget and get over Elliott, Simone escapes in a non-emotional connection with a stranger that leaves her body fulfilled but her heart still empty.

“I love him, and I hate him, and all I can think about is how I don’t know how I’m going to spend the rest of my life without him in it.”

When Elliott learns she’s been with someone else, jealousy prompts him to make a move on her, but passion is no longer enough. He needs to open up to Simone, but he is still unable to find the words.

He loved her.
Oh, fuck, he loved her, and knowing it was like a great, crashing wave of grief and relief and shame all at the same time. He loved her, and he hadn’t been able to tell her, even though she’d given him everything he’d ever wanted in another person, and things he’d never known to ask for but knew he could never again live without.

Finally he confesses his feelings and fears, Simone forgives him, so they could live kinkily ever after.

It’s a nice ending, although a little rushed, and not everything is settled. I’m sure their relationship will never be easy to maintain.

Every Part of You is an emotional and steamy story, with all of its ups and downs, real characters, real feelings, anguish and love.

We all have our faults and our flaws and our quirks. But don’t you know, honey, I’ll take every part of you?”

The constant back and forth finally got to me. It came to a point where Simone and Elliot just became too stubborn, too unlikable that frankly, I didn't care if they get their HEA or not.

Sad to say, this series ended on a disappointing note for me.

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

He had been her sun, the star she circled endlessly.
Helpless against the gravity she'd been unable to fight.
She'd flown too close and melted her wings made of wax.
She'd fallen.
Maybe she'd never been meant to fly.

Heartache is one of the hardest types of pain out there, because it never gives you a break and you may never recover from it. It's a tormentor with the sharpest blade and aren't we all familiar with that particular blade? That's how Simone feels after Elliot broke her heart. Months have passed and she gives her best to try and forget him, but every time she fails miserably. And he doesn't even seem to care. Ugh! Damn you Elliot! Your cold demeanor made me imagine several right hand-left hand slaps headed your way, but you did kind of redeem yourself in the ending even if you took your time. Jerk!

But back to the really good parts, meaning sex parts, because this last installment, considering that department, was the hottest of them all thanks to one visit to the BDSM sex club including two Dominatrix and a guy submissive. I'm not into the bdsm scene, but even I must admit that that was hot and that's all I'm saying.

All in all, I'm happy with the way this story ended. I still think it would have been better if M. Hart published only the whole book, and not like this in 5 short parts, because its hard to rate 30 pages, especially if you don't have all of them near and that's why I recommend anyone who wants to read this to buy the whole book. It was a collection of fun, way-too-hot & emotional parts with no bigger drama mixed with a little bdsm. Not one of my favorite M.Hart books, but quite enjoyable.

I read all 5 parts of this series in the same day, so I'm reviewing the whole series as one thing, as I didn't pay too much attention to each individual book. I do know that I was extremely happy to have the next one to continue straight onto at the end of each part as they always tend to leave you hanging for more each time...

I really enjoyed this one! it was quick, a bit of fun, hot & sexy, and also quite refreshing from the almost standard hot, rich, BDSM Dominant, male lead character. Yes, Elliot was pretty much that guy, but he wasn't. Rich - yes, hot - yes, BDSM master - absolutely terrified of it & what his preferences in the bedroom make him as a man - a monster who beats women.

The BDSM goddess in this story is Simone. The straight-up, tell it like it is, not afraid to ask for what she wants, pleasure/pain seeker. She too, like Elliot, despises the BDSM lifestyle of doms & subs, masters & slaves. Yes, she's tried it, but her outspoken, take no bullshit personality does not make for a good submissive, but she can take anything dished out to her, especially if that involves a good spanking or even a caning.

These two are a match made in heaven. Able to truly fulfil their fantasies together, & feed their desires to their hearts content. That is, until Simone's openness & Elliott's fears come face to face in a way that very nearly destroys them both.

Simone will not chase after a man. She doesn't need to. But when Elliott runs, she's very tempted to hightail it after him.

Sometimes the best thing that ever happened to you will cost you the highest price. & sometimes the greatest risks reap the highest rewards. But are Elliot & Simone prepared to risk it all for the chance of a scorching hot spankingly ever after?

I thought this was a great ending to Every Part of You.

In the final installment, Simone is too distraught to even seek out the pain that seems to be her release.

Even though Simone was broken, she held onto her strength during her brief encounters with Elliot, even to the point of taunting him with what he’d walked away from. I really like that she chose to let him go instead of chasing him. I think it made for a much more interesting story. She knew how miserable she was going to be without him, but she remained strong and tried to not let his words shame her. While she wasn’t entirely successful in this endeavor, she did recognize that the issue was Elliot’s and not hers and did her best to keep them separate.

She refused to let this break her, no matter how broken she felt. It was not the first time she’d given her heart to someone, after all. Or the first time she’d been hurt.

I really felt like Elliot was an anti-hero in this series. Not in the ‘I’m into illegal shit but make it look cool’ sort of way, but he really wasn’t the suave type, and when it came right down to it, his confidence was a smokescreen for his daddy issues. I don’t think he had any idea what he wanted until he didn’t have it anymore. This is what made him so interesting to me. I like a flawed man, and I loved the conflict going on inside of him throughout this entire serial.

While I don’t think the ending resolved every single problem Simone and Elliot had, I do feel like I’m walking away from this book knowing they are going to try their damnedest to get through their issues and not let them tear them apart again. And that works for me. I don’t need everything tied up into a neat little bow–I just like knowing they’re finally going into the relationship with everything on the table.

This serial is a great if you are looking for a hot read with some emotional depth.

I will definitely be checking out Megan Hart’s back list!

Quick review for a quick read. To be honest, I'm not enamored with the ending to this respective series. It was mega rushed. As from the previous installment, Elliot and Simone have their respective issues and possibly just came across the dealbreaker point of their relationship. This particular part has them resolving some parts of their issues, but it really felt pressed for time instead of natural. I thought there was a bit too much ruminating on the BDSM measure that Simone undertakes to make herself forget about Elliot's betrayal, and less time with them dealing with their respective situations and each other. You would think the latter would be more important, but the focus felt slightly off in this part. I did like that Elliot had his respective confrontation of his internal and external demons, but it was really hard for me to follow Simone for anything in this narrative, for some reason.

The steamy scenes had fire, and it was especially steamy with one of the subs (Nick) having some potential, but I'll admit I think some of the time could've been better spent in the narrative for development and that's what disappointed me.

At the very least, this serial novel has a definitive conclusion, I just wish the execution could've drawn me in more. Hart's written better than this in some of her short stories as well as novels, so while I'm disappointed in this, I'm hoping my next read from her is better.

Overall score: 2/5 stars

**Slightly spoilery**

Sex clubs, Simone experiments with giving pain instead of receiving it in an effort to heal her crushed heart, she punished Elliot with showing her glimpses of bruises left by another's hands, this part was intense, full of anger and heart break and bitterness.

Elliot is proof that one is never to old for daddy issues, especially when your father is a good for nothing, selfish asshole. My heart went out to Elliot, and I wanted desperately for him to get some sort of closure.

The ending was kind of perfect. He apologizes, repeatedly. They lay it all out there, and they make it work. It all ends where it started... in Elliot's office...only this time Simone is in it.

I just finished Every Part of You/Takes Me and I just loved it. It's the best one yet in my book. I wouldn't have asked for anything more. Elliott and Simone are not together in this book. They have had a fallout and it's about them picking up the pieces. Elliott had secrets that he wouldn't share that put a damper on their relationship. He wasn't honest. Will he be honest with himself and her? You will just have to read and see.

This was my favorite in the series as it should be. I got my answers, I just wish that there was more. Lol. It's bittersweet. I was quick and sexy and just an overall good book

The final installment brings it all to a close. Pain for the sake of pure pleasure has Simone on a high unlike any other and provides Elliott with a new freedom unlike any before.

Each part of the series is made better if you have the next part that comes with it. Reading separately leaves a gap that make things not blend well together.

2 Stars - Every Part of You: Takes Me is the final installment in a five part erotic serial by Megan Hart.

Bereft in her pain and grief after Elliott so callously rejects her, Simone runs off to Aiden out of despair and anger, and he gives her the pain she needs so she can stop feeling all of those things. He'd give it to her again, if she asked him to, and though she wasn't ashamed or regretful about what she’d done, she doesn’t want to repeat it either. After all, it wasn't the first time she’d given her heart to someone, or the first time she’d been hurt. And she refuses to let this break her, no matter how broken she feels.

“He had been her sun, the star she circled endlessly. Helpless against the gravity she’d been unable to fight. She’d flown too close and melted her wings made of wax. She’d fallen. Maybe she’d never been meant to fly.”

When Simone is urged to find solace in a non-emotional connection with a stranger, she quickly learns that though her body is left fulfilled, her heart is still empty.

When Elliott learns Simone has been with someone else , he wants to find whoever it was and make them wish they’d never touched her. Mostly, though, he wants to get on his knees and beg her to look at him the way she used to. Unsure if Simone could ever accept his most sincerest apology, Elliott knows he needs to open up to her. And a run-in with his estranged father finally convinces him he has to make amends with her, no matter what it takes.

“He wanted to say he was sorry. He wanted to say he wanted to try again. He wanted to tell her about his dad, and Molly, and the woman who’d birthed him but who’d never been much of a mother. He wanted to tell her about why he didn’t want to let her in. He wanted to ask her what he should do about his father, who’d said he wanted to see him. Most of all, he wanted to tell her about the list and her place on it."

Most of Megan Hart's erotic stories are edgy, containing flawed characters and dysfunctional relationships, which I expect when I pick up one of her books. Her stories are intelligent, well-written and brutally honest, balancing the fine line between sweet and heartbreaking. But, overall, I found the final installment of this erotic serial truly disappointing. There was simply way too much angst and desperation with so little payoff. While I enjoyed Simone, the confident, witty, strong-willed female protagonist, throughout the first three installments, by the end of this train-wreck I would have been content leaving her to wallow in her own misery. On the flip side, I grew to adore Elliott, the somewhat OCD male protagonist whose neurosis was frustrating at times. And though I recognize his actions, or emotional reactions, as it were, were very hurtful, in the end, Simone didn't deserved him.

Content: graphic language, explicit sex, voyeurism, oral, biting, pinching, impact and edge play.

I reviewed this at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley!

Shel: I know what you're thinking. You're thinking you can't do a novella series..you don't like the waiting...they are just getting going and POOF! it's over for that installment...the characters aren't as developed...and so on and so on. Court: I've so thought that before, but keep reading!

Shel: I think Megan Hart just may be the writer to convince you that a novella series will work for you. First of all, by the time you read this review all of the series will be released. Court: They are ALL out! And so fracking good. Shel: Second of all, the series is completely filling. The characters are not short changed, neither is the plot or the steam. Of course, when a writer is budgeting his or her words, the details may be fewer and the pace, faster..but I didn't mind it one bit. I found this series to be paced nicely and the writing very clean--not bogged down on anything unnecessary. Court: I had deeply strong feelings for Simone and while my feelings for Elliott tended to be toward the pissed off side of things, he was a very multi-dimensional character as well. My constant thoughts of Simone were that she is fierce, and strong...yet submissive. That was quite a feat for me to see pulled off so I was very excited to see what sort of journey Simone would take through each novella I read.

Shel: The story is interesting. There's the instant intrigue of Simone and her voyeurism. There's the simple and not so simple Elliot. There's the complication of their sex life and what is deemed right/good/acceptable. There are hurt feelings and confused feelings and honest feelings. I loved how in so few words, Megan Hart gives us a very raw story of the pleasure and pain of engaging in their relationship. Elliot is so infuriating and Simone is so strong and vulnerable and good. I loved Simone...more women could stand to be as honest as she was in this series; and, I love how she refuses to apologize for who she is and what she likes. And, Elliot finds a way to be less of an asshole by the end too...as he learns how to accept his truth and tell it to Simone (and more importantly, to himself). Court: OMG Elliott...he killed me...but really, just like Simone he was brutally honest too. He was so straight laced and rigid in some things...but still was an incredibly hot lover in others. He had so much hate and anger for things that had happened in his life, that he went through a great part of it alone. I didn't want him to be alone but on the other side I needed him to hardcore get his head out of his butt, pronto!

Shel: Anyway, I could ramble on for a while about why I enjoyed this series..instead, you should buy it and let us know what you think. Court: Please do. We can ramble on about this forever, and really want to!

Ebook serials are an ongoing experiment that we’ve been following, Hart’s Every Part of You series being one in particular. Takes Me is the finale, the part meant to make it all worthwhile.

Throughout, we’ve come to know Simone, who is feisty and opinionated and very much her own person, and who likes a little pain with her pleasure. Pain, but not submission.

We’ve also come to know a bit about Elliott, who is grumpy and withdrawn and very particular, and who likes to inflict pain. But then hates himself for liking it. Simone isn’t the kind of woman he dates, and to him she’s dangerous because she wants him to indulge his dark desires. He’d rather suppress them and live in a safe cocoon devoid of sensation and emotion.

At the beginning of this last installment, they’re no longer together. Simone’s been broken by it and needs healing, which is what her former fuck-buddy and his submissive have in mind when they tempt her out of her pity cave to a sex club. Meanwhile, Elliott’s having to deal with reminders of his painful childhood, marked by an abusive father and a neglectful mother, just when he thought he’d had it all under control. At almost his most emotionally vulnerable, he runs into Simone. And makes things worse.

However, the ending does make it all worthwhile. In fact, I loved that Elliott was so hopelessly bad at making amends, because he learned from it, and that’s when I finally got a better sense of who he was. This installment -- and this whole series -- took me through a whole range of feelings. I think that if I had read the entire book at once (which you can do now: Every Part of You), I would have felt more intensely, but I would have found the ending rushed. I’m still not sold on e-serials, but I’ll always read Megan Hart.

SERIES REVIEW

EVERY PART OF YOU is a serial novel made up of five books. It’s a dark, erotic, well written story about Elliot Anderson, a partner in a law firm and Simone Kahan, who works in the same building as Elliot. While Simone is working late one night, she looks out her window and notices Elliot’s activities in his office after hours. After that, whenever Simone works late, she watches Elliot hook up with different women in his office late at night. One night when Elliot and Simone are both working late, they accidentally meet in the elevator. Elliot he is arrogant, selfish and terse, but Simone can’t help being attracted to him. Simone is confident in who and what she is. She isn’t intimidated by other people, knows what she wants and always speaks her mind. Simone knows she is flawed, but is able to accept herself for who she is. Elliot is also flawed, but has a hard time acknowledging who he is. At forty two Elliot is inhibited, introverted and not honest with himself or other people. Elliot and Simone are two lost souls who are drawn to each other.

This is a well crafted story with great character development. As the story unfolds we understand Elliot and the circumstances that made him the man he is today. Although, there isn’t much information about Simone’s past. Each book is about sixty pages and continues where the last book left off. I don’t understand why Megan Hart wrote this as serial and I have to admit, it spoiled the story for me. For that reason, I gave the book a lower rating. That being said, I think Megan Hart writes an intense, edgy, sexy read. There is some BDSM in the story.

I read this in the five separate, short installments but will review it as a whole.
Simone is full of self-confidence with a side of naughty. While at work she has enjoyed her voyeuristic side watching the attractive male below bring back many woman to have his way with in his office. Having a penchant for masochism, she’s learned to ask for exactly what she wants and if the chemistry doesn’t complement to move on quickly. She continues her brazenness by virtually inviting herself to a party with the male one evening.

Elliott is a strange one. He’s a little bit OCD, a little bit germaphobe, and quite a bit neurotic. Coming from an abusive and neglected childhood, he has worked hard to overcome the obstacles placed upon him. He focuses on taking care of Molly and not becoming like his father. He has spent much of his free time with a parade of model type blondes but no one that he ever wants to be around more than a couple of dates.

This wasn’t my favorite series. It felt like there was more angst with a trivial amount of satisfaction. I didn’t get find much enjoyment in the flat characters or the dysfunctional connection they share. Elliott is constantly pushing Simone away and then running back to her; talk about mixed signals. In a lot of ways, I think this was the biggest turn off. Because there was so much rebuffing, it made me wonder where the plot was going. There were moments I enjoyed the rapport between Simone and Elliott but there were even more where I was left shaking my head. After the pages has settled or more aptly the kindle recharged, I think perhaps I didn’t get what was the author was trying to convey.

Megan Hart's serialized novel Every Part of You is broken down into five installments, each of which are titled to reflect the topic for each. In Tempt Me It we are introduced to Simone and her fascination with Elliot and his liaisons which she has a very good view of from her office. Elliot seems confused as to how to deal with his unusual desires. Meeting Simone seems to confuse him even more. They share the same dark passion but where Simone welcomes it Elliot seems to run away from it. In Resists Me, the relationship progresses, with Elliot still denying what he's feeling and what Simone seems to represent for him. Passion overrules his logic and Simone gets what she wants. It didn't end quite the way they wanted. Taunts Me and Denies Me just continues what essentially is the theme of this novel. While Takes Me wraps up the romance satisfactorily. For Simone its falling in love with the perfect man who seems to deny what he wants and thinks what they have is wrong and for Elliot it seems to be a lot of daddy issues. Megan Hart excels in these type of novels where you can't see the main lead ever getting together at all despite the feelings and the rightness of it. The sexual scenes are definitely steamy, the BDSM theme is lightly tackled but more implied and the pathos and tone is definitely tragic despite the almost wry humor of the heroine. The novellas are pure erotica however the developing relationship between the leads truly captures the readers interest making you just want to keep turning the pages. The ending chapter definitely is keeping everyone on edge.

Well, I finally finished this series of novellas. I thought the ending was very rushed and I was disappointed that we didn't get much intimate time with Simone and Elliott. If I were to rate the story as a whole I would give the whole series about 3 stars. I would've liked more emphasis on them as a couple and his issues that he was having with his relationship with dad and Molly. I had no interest whatsoever in her ex... he's a jerk. Out of all the dominants I've met he's my least favorite. Very self absorbed guy only interested in his own pleasure. His submissive was extremely annoying. I could have done without them in this last installment.
If you like erotic stories that focus on pleasure through pain then this will float your boat. If you like strong, bossy females you will love Simone. I quite liked Simone and that's why I continued with the series. I liked that she was not a submissive even though I couldn't really understand her need for pain. I liked Elliott as well but felt like we just didn't get enough of his story. Like I said before... it felt rushed.

Each novella is $1.99... so, around $10 for the whole story when you're done. Is it worth the price? Well, I'll let you decide... :) At least they are all out now... so, no waiting in between installments.

Reading order:
#1 Tempts Me... 45 pages
#2 Resists Me... 57 pages
#3 Taunts Me... 45 pages
#4 Denies Me... 45 pages
#5 Takes Me... 45 pages

My review is a reflection of the entire series...

If you haven’t read the sexy erotic stories of Megan Hart, you should, at least once. I find her books often expanding the tolerance of my naughty radar. Simone works in the same building as the successful Elliott Anderson and has watched him take on new conquests almost every night of the week. Voyeurism is definitely Simone’s kink and she is not shy about it. After nights of watching Elliott handle his business, the perfect opportunity presents itself for them to meet. Simone’s approach is a a tad bit more aggressive than the women Elliott is used to courting and only peaks his interest in Simone. As soon as things start to get steamy, Elliot is faced with some personal challenges that throws a monkey wrench into this new erotic relationship. Everyone deals with stress in their own personal way and Elliot is faced with exploring other areas of his sexual repertoire. Areas he has often deemed as immoral. Will Simone stand by Elliott through thick and thin? Will Elliott realize how his life has changed for the better with Simone in his life? So many questions and hopefully a lot of answers.

ARC provided by publisher through NetGalley for an honest review.

Broken hearted after Every Part of You: Denise Me , Simone is living with the heartache of loving someone who doesn't want to be with her. Adrian and Corrina, try to help her by indulging in a different aspect of her fetish. But that only works temporarily.

At the same time, Elliott, realizes he misses Simone more than he ever thought he could. He tries to talk to her, but his efforts are less than stellar and at the same time, his past is coming back to haunt him.

Will they be able to make things work...

This was a lovely ending to the series. I almost tread up a couple of times as I could feel Simone's despair over Elliott and his over his realization that he actually did love someone. The effort for Elliott to break down his own wall and admit he cares can be felt in every word written from him POV.

I loved that about this series where the POV changes really added to the intensity of the characters emotional plight. This series was my introduction to this author and I really enjoyed it.

Simone, is still heartbroken over Elliot's cruel dismal of her, she is just moving hrough her days in a haze with no drive or desire other than to avoid Elliot, so sh can heal and try to move on. Her s Aiden is worried wboutt her and sends his sub to collect her and bring her to club Leather a bdsm club ( this kind if pissed me of, he should do come himself) .

Once atthe club Simone's penchant for voyeurism kicks in but leads her to experimenting as a dominant which oddly enough however inadvertantly sets her on a path to trying to move on. She runs into Elliot the next day NoThe elevator and while not speaking to him She makeshim aware she has moved on, exposing her thighs by slowly lifting her skirt so he can see the love bite marks someone else has left on her.

Stupid, stupid Elliot has come to the realization before this that he too loves Simone and he blew it, but he wan'ts another chance. Can he convince Simone , come clean with her and let her inside ? Willshe Ren give him the time of day?

Good ending to he series but it did feel a bit rushed to me.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in place of an honest review.

I've read this whole series and there were times that I had to wait on several books but it was well worth it. I kept going back and forth between which character that I liked the most.

Simone and Elliott were doing so good until Elliott heard from his father and he thought he couldn't be with her anymore because he didn't think it was right to hit women. He didn't see that the hitting his was doing was different then what his father used to do.

I seen how these two barley got through everyday without thinking about the other. I wanted to see if Elliott had hurt Simone so much that they could never work anything out. I got my answers and I am happy that I can let this series go after reading the end.

If you haven't read this series I would say that you need to check it out. Yes there is BDSM and other things that you might not like. If you aren't into this kind of stuff then just pass it both.

Every Part of You: Takes Me is the finale of one hot serial. I am still not a fan of the serials but when it's by Megan Hart...you know you will get something unique. Erotic and emotional story. I will read it again when it's combined into a book. Simone and Elliott find themselves miserable being apart. Aiden tempts Simone into coming to a sex club to get her out of her funk. I was thinking Simone should try a flogger on Elliott. We learn the truth behind his hang ups. It's short but packed with sizzle...and we get the HEA! Ms. Hart's books always have something unexpected.

I do give extra points for making me laugh with Elliott having a bad morning in the elevator "Some pustulant anal sphincter had pushed the button for every floor..."

I seriously couldn't wait to get my hands on this conclusion. After reading the other four installments in this serial series, I was anxious to see how things were going to turn out for Simone and Elliot. The other parts of their story thus far had been sexy, slightly kinky, and even a bit sweet. I guess I expected more of the same at the end. All of those elements were present but not in the ways I had anticipated. The ending did give me closure, as I received answers to the questions that had me curious throughout Elliot and Simone's story, but I still felt disappointed in this segment as a whole. Overall, I would still recommend the series, which is now available in one book, if you are looking for a quick, sexy read.

Thank goodness I did not have to wait for this one so I could finish the serial. I realllllly am not a fan of this current trend of serial novellas. Just bring them all out in one book why don't you!!

I really did like Elliott in this one. Simone.... meh. Still don't know about her.

I liked that we got the back story about Molly finally.

Like the rest of this serial, it was sweet, it was hot, it was frustrating. But it didn't have that something that I come to expect from a Megan Hart book.

It wasn't bad per se, it just left me wanting a little. But give it a go, now that the whole series is out you can get stuck right into the whole thing.

Though I am not usually a fan of serialized books, the author is strong enough to make the technique work. Megan Hart is a very skilled writer. She has woven a tale that is intriguing and given readers an extremely compelling hero and heroine. The themes of voyeurism and BDSM are handled with finesse and class, and the erotica factor seems high and going higher.... This conclusion is well written, fast paced, beautifully set and as I said, the passion is there. I am a sucker for clever dialogue and Ms. Hart has the talent for writing dialogue down to an art! The story has concluded satisfactorily, and I for one will be there to read more from Megan Hart.

he loved her. Oh, fuck, he loved her, and knowing it was like a great, crashing wave of grief and relief and shame at the same time. He loved hrt, and he hadn't been able to tell her, even though she'd given him everything he'd ever wanted in another person, and things he'd never known to ask for but knew he could never again live without

See I'm a helpless romantic with a dirty mind, but this time I didn't want a HEA, I wanted the prick Elliott to suffer. I wished for Simone to find someone else.

A little satisfaction I got from her response
"I love you, Simone."
Everything inside hrt lifted and ignited. she turned inside out. She kissed him again, lingering this time, and looked into his eyes.
"Yeah," she said, "I know you do."

This was the first Megan Hart book I read that actually felt like erotica to me. Sure, there were some pretty serious issues that Elliot dealt with, and the communication problems the kept Simone and Elliot from committing to a relationship were real, serious problems, but there wasn't anything that rocked my world, ripped my heart out, and left me crying for days. Which is what many of her other book, also classified as erotica, have done to me, such as Broken and Dirty. This was a nice change of pace because, for the most part, it was a sexy read, a fun interlude, rather than a soul shredder. We all need that once in a while, and I really enjoyed this book/serial.

I wasn't in love with this final installment. I could have done without the sex club scene (gah, I am SO over it already), but do "get" from an emotional-angst standpoint why it was included in the story. Also I would have loved to have this last part be all Simone and Elliott all the time, every single word, not a moment spared on any other character. Because the author had to wrap up the loose ends, it wasn't - so therefore I found things a little rushed towards the finish line.

As a whole though, I really did enjoy this serial quite a lot. From start to finish, it lands very solidly within my "B" range.
