Was actually very funny, I laughed a few times particularly at old Helga and Larry - my little brother loved those characters, very mischievous! The pictures were hilarious too. I found the bit about Old Helga rushing to the library to report the 'partying cats' to Ken the parrot in her dressing gown, bedroom slippers with curlers in her hair very funny. I was also surprised that it actually made slight references to current affairs, classics such as Roald Dahl etc, it was very educational at the same time. Will recommend.

We really enjoyed reading this book. A lot of humour and education. I unashamedly found myself laughing a bit more than my brother. I would have to recommend. Also a good one to help reluctant readers as it references some childhood classics.
