Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. In addition to The Sixth Gun, his current projects include Crooked Hills, a middle reader horror prose series from Evileye Books; The Tooth, an original graphic novel from Oni Press; and various work for Marvel and DC. Somewhere along the way, Cullen founded Undaunted Press and edited the critically acclaimed small press horror magazine, Whispers from the Shattered Forum.

All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has worked various odd jobs, including Alien Autopsy Specialist, Rodeo Clown, Professional Wrestler Manager, and Sasquatch Wrangler.

And, yes, he has fought for his life against mountain lions and he did perform on stage as the World's Youngest Hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime, and he'll tell you all about it.

Deadpool is fun when he's visiting other titles, but I guess I'm not into his solo stuff.
Some of it was funny, but after a while (a very short while) the jokes wore thin. Maybe it's just the wrong kind of humor for a mature woman, such as myself.
However.
My 14 year old son loved it!
So.
This has potential. I mean, anything to get kids to read, right?

There's not much of plot to explain.
Deadpool Kills Deadpool is the entire storyline in a nutshell.

There's lots of cameo appearances by alternate Deadpools to keep the story lively.
Pandapool, Dogpool, Kidpool, Girlpool (or was it Lady Deadpool?), and manymanymany others!

If you don't like it, give it to a teenage boy in your neighborhood.
2 stars from my point of view, 4 from my kid's point of view. I settled on 3.

"You're obviously in charge of this motley crew . . ." -- Deadpool

"Hey! Throw the horns when you say 'Crue'!" -- Lady Deadpool (female version of Deadpool)

"CRUE!!!" -- Kid Deadpool (pint-size, pre-teen version of Deadpool)

" . . . yeah. Sooooo, ya wanna tell me what's going on?" -- Deadpool

What's going on, Mr. 'Merc with a Mouth,' is just more of the same-old, same-old for you. (At least it's not, as the title might suggest, a suicide tale.) Deadpool jumps between several universes where he alternately allies with and/or fights against various odd members of the eclectic Deadpool family. Besides the aforementioned women and children there are various animals (a dog, a panda, and a certain wolverine), aliens, and other knock-off versions. A little bit of the trademark snide humor and bloodily-graphic but cartoon-like violence carries this slim volume - less than 100 pages - up to a certain point, but by the third chapter my attention was waning with the flimsy sci-fi storyline.

Once Deadpool realised that he couldn’t die because of something called continuity, he grew despondent until he realised that if he killed every version of every character in continuity, he would be free – that led to Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. But when that didn’t work, he tried to kill the classic archetypes of every character, leading to Deadpool jumping from one literary novel to another in Deadpool Killustrated. And when that didn’t work, he realised he, Deadpool, was the creator of everything and the only way he could find peace was if he killed himself – leading us to the final instalment in the Deadpool Killology, Deadpool Kills Deadpool!

Given how abstract the Killology has been, I was a bit disappointed with how DKD turned out; first Deadpool, once again breaking the fourth wall, acknowledges a thing as Marvel continuity in its comics, even that he is a comics character existing in comic books, and attempts a surreal form of seppuku, and then he goes even further, going into books like Huck Finn, Moby Dick and Little Women to kill classic characters whom Marvel’s characters were loosely based upon. For DKD, I expected something truly weird – some really out-there, Grant Morrison-esque stuff – but it was the least interesting book in the Killology when it should’ve been the most.

The Deadpool of the Killology turns out to be an evil Deadpool, not the Marvel 616 Deadpool from the current Marvel NOW!/Posehn & Duggan run, which makes sense given this series is so out there, it couldn’t possibly make any sense alongside the other Marvel NOW! titles. 616 Deadpool (and if you don’t know, 616 is the “normal” Marvel Universe) rallies the Deadpool Corps – multiple versions of Deadpool from alternate realities – to take on evil Deadpool and his evil Deadpool army.

It’s fun seeing all the different permutations of Deadpool – the Deadpool X-Men, Dogpool, Pandapool, Galactapool, Deadpool the Duck, and, maybe the greatest of them all, Beard o’Bees Deadpool – but that’s really all this mini-series has to offer. That and the endless violence as the various Deadpools kill each other in massively gory ways. For all its potential the series just becomes a bloodbath with DKD being your basic good guys vs bad guys story arc albeit with a lot more blood, and it also doesn’t really end either.

I was half expecting the series to be Deadpool killing himself, then getting sucked into our dimension, and choosing the most satisfying way of death like blowing up Marvel’s offices with him inside or something or somehow killing the readers of this book. But no, it’s just multiple (kinda funny) Deadpools killing one another until one’s left standing. Deadpool Kills Deadpool is a disappointing end to an entertaining mini-series. Cullen Bunn returns in the New Year with another Deadpool mini called Night of the Living Deadpool, so hopefully that’ll be better.

4.0/5.0

Another fun Deadpool adventure that pits the Merc with a Mouth against himself in the most hilarious forms. Bunn has shown that he is truly meant to write a character as extroverted and comical as Deadpool.

Sim, eu sei, saltei a ordem XD Foi propositado!

Not a fan of Deadpool? Want to see him die a grizzly death a hundred times over? Well you're in luck!

What's that? You're also sick of seeing Deadpool everywhere? Oh. Well...better steer clear of this one or it might induce vomiting.

This is the third and final volume of the Deadpool Killogy, and if you're skimming the reviews on this one then you're probably familiar with basic premise so far. Deadpool discovers he is a fictional character with no free will and decides to shoot and slice his way through the prison that is comic book continuity. First he decimated the Marvel Universe, then he corrupted the literary universe (Ideaverse), and now he's going to eliminate every version of himself in the multiverse.

The tone of this book felt comparatively lighter with the addition of Earth-616 Deadpool. I'm not saying previous volumes should have handled a multiversal mass murder campaign with more lightheartedness and whimsy, but it's nice to finally see some of Deadpool's classic irreverence. The ending here isn't as meta than the previous two, but it's a conclusive one. This whole series has been a blast and it's definitely worth a read. Maybe even a re-read.

Over and over and over and over again.

Man, this was one weird comic!

At first, I was a bit caught off-guard by the amount of gore in this, which is not at all unexpected seeing as this is Deadpool. Not only that, but the amount of violence is BRUTAL. Definitely don't read if you can't stomach some decapitation, dismemberment, exploding brains, wrenched out guts, etc.

Yet this was just so entertaining! I loved the humor, very faithful to dear old Deadpool, and the many cameos made by different pop culture-inspired versions of our favorite merc. Some of them were simply hilarious and had completely wacky designs (I wonder how the art department meeting went for this one...) and they all had an interesting vibe to them.

Overall, a very cool story with a messed up premise, tons of existential undertones to keep you by, and deeply troubling themes that will leave you mentally exhausted but highly satisfied with your purchase.

I definitely plan on reading the other comics in the series but I don't think you need them to enjoy this one. It does require some prior knowledge of Deadpool and the Marvel universe but nothing too obscure.

Perfect for fans and newbies alike!

This is basically a Spider-verse satire.

The various version of Deadpool were hilarious, but as funny as the premise is, even the best joke gets a little stale. Some great funny moments, but no real story.

3.5 stars. Ridiculous multiverse fun in Deadpool’s style. While far from perfect in terms of being a complete or a great story, this book was very enjoyable as a quick read in one sitting.

¡Me encantó!

My coworker really wanted me to read this comic, so I did. Even though I haven't read the first two. It doesn't seem like that mattered honestly, because the story was basically explained over again and I don't feel like I really missed anything. So that's good, but I still plan on reading the previous two.

The artwork was awesome. Dialogue was pretty great. Plot was insane but cool. I quite enjoyed this, and I'm glad that I'm finally reading some Deadpool.

Sen Deadpool yazma Cullen Bunn. Olmuyor.

3.5 ⭐ decent art and fun action. Will probably give Deadpool another try in a story where he's with another character or as a side character in another comic. I feel like he'll read better as not the main character

WHAT

POR QUÉ TERMINÓ ASÍ

DONDE HAY UN SEGUNDO VOLUMEN DE DEADPOOL KILLS DEADPOOL
NECESITO SABER QUÉ PASA
Y ENTONCES SI TERMINA ASÍ, ¿POR QUÉ AL PRINCIPIO SALÍA DEADPOOL METIENDO EN UN MICROONDAS LA CABEZA DE DEADPOOL?

AY NO ENTIENDO
NECESITO MÁS

No. 2

***

No. 4

ME ENCANTÓOOOOO
