Cadence is in the worst predicament of her illustrious career as a hooker. She's doing her best to please the client, but John Zane is voracious and incredibly egotistical.

He's got her in the Blue Room. It's called that because of all the pain, the bruising inflicted within the four aluminum walls.

While her body responds to his touch, her mind keeps wandering back to her accidental night with John Cruze, the famous Hollywood actor whose gorgeous eyes and kindness have melted some of the ice around her heart.

But can the wrong John ever have feelings for a hooker?

"There’s no place for love, joy, happiness, making love, kissing. All there can be is fucking and whatever pleasure I can take from that."

Cadence finds herself in the Blue Room with the right gentleman to settle her debt, but is shocked to find herself reacting physically to him as he conditions her body to associate pain with pleasure. He’s a kinky fellow with more than a few surprises up his sleeve. Cadence runs into a bit more trouble and calls on him to help her out, surprised by the turn of event s in her life; she can’t help but feel torn… her body wants him but her mind and heart keep drifting to the other man who made her feel?

Distorted Lines picks up right where Vol 1 left off, it is fast paced and erotic, it is not a dark read, considering her profession. Things just begin to pick up with her new life when this ends. I didn’t feel like I had to pick up the next book right away, it seems that there will be more volumes added, so I’ll wait It’s pretty good and interesting and I probably will enjoy it more if I can read them all together.

Do I like it do I not ?? This is more about Mr Zane and that dynamic coming together. Book 2 is not as good as book 1 in my opinion even if there was more sex scenes

3 stars. Another quick read. This one didn't feel as exciting as the first book but it was still a lot of fun to read.

I really wish these were all in one book, breaking them up like this seems unnecessary. I just want the story in one whole sitting and I want now. Ugh! I will say, however, that I do really like that these pick up right where the last one leaves off at so that you don't have any annoying time jumps or anything.

The writing is really easy and helps move the story along but everything was rushed in this volume. I was left scratching my head a lot and going "Wait...what!? HUH??" The characters did things that I just couldn't even believe.

Cadence, I still don't have a solid opinion on this girl. Besides the fact that she's a prostitute that wants to go to college (good for you, girl), she's kind of forgettable. Unfortunately, she's still not a main protagonist that sticks out and makes me root for her or hate her. I feel nothing towards her which I think is worst than if I hated her. I'm still waiting on the moment where she finally does or says something that makes me take notice of her.

Zane was someone from the first book that I really wanted to get to know and now I'm not so sure. He seems like a Jekyll & Hyde type of character and I don't think it's going to end well with him and Cadence. I don't hate him but I don't like him either. He's a bit of a creepy douche.

The other John wasn't in this volume but was mentioned quite a bit. Meh. I don't know, I'm not really sure about him either.

Overall, I'm not too impressed with this series so far but damn if I can't stop reading them!

Yup! Another one for the books. Well...

The story is getting warmer. I commend this author for humanizing sex workers through Cadence's character. It reminds readers like me that just because they fuck for a living does not mean they lead a fucked up life too. Although our heroine here is a bit jaded, it made me sympathize with them more, wishing those good ones with dreams to create better living someday. And the ending! Gah! I must read the next stat because

I LOVED IT!!

Please do not read this review until you’ve read Blurred Lines! This is the second in a series of novella’s following Candace (a hooker) and her 2 John’s (no really, both of their names are John!) We pick up right where we left off in Blurred Lines. Candace is in the “Blue Room” and we get to see more of her and John Zane’s (aka Zane) escapades. When we first met Zane I freaking hated him, I thought he was a dirtbag asshole, but even though he’s a freak in bed, you start to warm up to him.

Candace is free of Zane and ends up in yet another predicament and finds herself needing Zane’s help. She ends up making a deal she thinks in the end will be great, until her first day of her job… Enter the sexy John Cruze. I can definitely tell there is going to be a love triangle, and I think I know where my heart is going to go with who she should pick.

Candace becomes even more likeable in this story, and she continues to show she’s a strong person. She knows what she’s doing, and again doesn’t play the poor me card. I am waiting to see what happens when Felize gets out of the hospital, I can already tell that all hell is going to break loose.

Breena Wilde does it again with Distorted Lines. I am starting to like Zane (not a lot, but he’s growing on me) and can’t wait to see more of John Cruze! This is a quick read, with even more hot and sexy scenes, and leaves you wanting more! I’m definitely hooked on this series and the characters. The conflict starting to arise in Candace about breaking all of her rules is unique, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. I can already tell Crossed Lines (#3) is going to be freaking awesome!

This story is HOT, SEXY, KINKY, and GREAT!! Go pick up this series! If you liked 50 Shades, The Hart Family, etc. This is right up your alley! There were a few scenes that even had me blushing! <3 it!!!

Distorted Lines by Breena Wilde picks up right where book one left off, in the Blue Room. So far these serial novels have reeled me right in...impatiently awaiting the next installment.

In book two we learn more about John Zane, his habits, preferences, manipulations and end-game.
John Zane is psychotic, and hot, and has some really interesting ways of showing his darker side.
He's also not what we are led to think. The story ends with us finding out if Cadence accepts John Zane's business arrangement or not.

I am really enjoying learning about Cadence - she has been a prostitute for about 4 years and isn't apologetic about the fact that loves sex! In this book we learn that she actually has life goals that have been put on hold until she can leave her pimp & save up enough money for college. A series of events puts Cadence back in the life of John Zane, the man she was intended to sleep with. I don't know much about Mr. Zane other than the fact that he seems to have quite a bit of money & success. I don't know if he is good looking but he sure knows how to turn up the kink level with Cadence! She is loving every minute of it but I'm waiting for the moment when Mr. Zane will go a little too far. So far he is working his way around Cadence's body like a professional! We do know more about hot actor John Cruze who Cadence sleeps with by mistake. He is absolutely drop dead gorgeous & extremely good in bed but there is definitely more of a romantic connection between the two of them. Life seems to be looking up for Cadence - will Mr. Zane help her with her career? Will he continue to push her buttons in the bedroom? Will John Cruze make a reappearance in Cadence's life & what will she do about him? Many good problems for Cadence to have!!

So where did we leave off?

John Zane -- Hello sex god with a huge helping of crazy. I hate that he won't follow Cadence's rules, it just makes me think he will never see her nothing above a whore. And I mean she is, but ... sigh. Do I think he set her up with the dirty cop so that she would be forced to agree to his proposition? Hell yeah I do. At least it is a semi-reasonable agreement and puts her dreams a little bit closer to Cadence.

Jessica -- Stupid roommate. But also, could Cadence not keep her money in a bank? Seems like such an easy way to safeguard it, especially when there is so many uncertainties in her life.

John Cruze -- Noooooo, don't let him find out like this. But the fact he still finds her intriguing, hooray!

well, screwed this. I know this one would be hard. and drama.
you confused us. really. I mean, look at that. you made her got satisfied and like the real john. damn, I also like that side of him because he knew well how to satisfied girl.
then the other john came along.
then I knew this would be damn hard and those domineering things would happen and also that dramatic and pathetic feelings would be there since this would be like such a triangle things. so I stopped. I gave up. I'm sorry.
the things that bother me also this is the short one and just I just don't want to continue the story.

This series is getting even better! I was not sure how I felt about Cadence or either John but I like all three of them! Usually when I read novellas like this they are so fast paced that you can't feel anything for the characters and there is little character development but this isn't the case with this series. Absolutely love it! It progresses fast enough that it doesn't drag on but there is enough suspense and substance to make it one awesome story. I am excited to see what happens next.

Seriously, I would not want to be Cadence! What are the odds of all that happening! I think I would be an absolute mess, and not the hot mess they'd want me to be. It's a great opportunity, go to college, learn the business, warm fluffy bed, but is it worth it when there's something else you clearly want?!?!

Better a blue room then blue balls. Especially when Zane is involved. Pain & pleasure can be a great combination but I don't know if I could all Zane had to dish out. At least he's a clean freak, that's always a plus. Can't wait to see what happens over the next 6 months in the series!

Distorted Lines was a great sequel to the first book. I bought it right away after I finished Blurred Lines because how could I not, after that cliffhanger?
In this one we see a whole lot more of Zane and damn, how I loved that. I can't wait for the third book. It better come soon! :D
