Two souls desperate to discover the truth about the past and determined to save their future…

A PRINCESS set on regaining her Kingdom and protecting those she loves…
A GUARDIAN who will stop at nothing to find the woman who stole his heart…
An EVIL FORCE who will destroy everything they know in order to have power over all…

“One day, a handsome savior came to my rescue and told me I was a Princess. Fairy tales do come true, and if you want to ride your horse barefoot in a field with your groom watching you, then by God we’ll make it happen.”
“I almost believe you.”

***

I was really looking forward to this book ever since I finished NEVER LET YOU FALL. But I had no idea how much I would end up falling for this one. It absolutely blew book one out of the water. At least in my opinion. The author gives us an incredibly well written story and I just know you are going to love it as much as I did.

I loved the direction the author took with the characters. Does absence make the heart grow fonder? Or does it send you straight into the arms of another man? I understand why Skye left. She believed she was protecting Xander. But while at the enemy's castle and under McClintock's thumb, a new relationship forms with Nickoli. Of course it starts out as friendship, but soon there are feelings even Skye cannot explain.

***
“All of those difficulties I can handle. But you being in love with him? Already making him your choice? I can’t deal with that, Skye…I just can’t.”
***

I do love Xander. Have ever since the beginning of the series. But I also found my feelings shifting towards Nickoli. And it was something I totally didn't see coming. I expected to hate Nickoli for the sole reason of who he was and who he is related to. But it just didn't happen. In fact, my feelings only grew stronger as the story moved forward.

I would absolutely love to tell you a pivotal part of the story but I just can't because it would give so much away. And seriously, there is several pivotal parts at the end. It is tearing me up inside to get them out by telling someone. Just know that something huge happens at that the end and it will affect so much. Then there is another twist soon after that is going to blow up Skye's world even more. Oh the feels!!!

Love everything about this one and I am terribly excited to see what happens next. A war as to which these characters have never before seen is about to take place. Will they be able to stop it in time? The anticipation is numbing.

Favorite Lines “Be careful, my Princess…you will lose all you love before you can win what you want.”

“I won't let you fall. You will not die for me. I can't live with that Xander, and I’ll let them take me before I let them kill you."
I wanted to argue with her, but she held up her hand to stop my protests.
"Don't argue it. There’s no point. I've made up my mind."
So I’d made another promise to her. One I fully intended to keep. "If anything happens to you…if we get separated, if you martyr yourself – anything, Skye. As long as I am breathing, I will always find you. Always!”

“I have been waiting for you for so long now, and I am still shocked to have you here,”

“I’m in your arms…I am home.”

“Yes. Our proof that we were made to be forever tangled up with each other.”

Man this author! She's something else! I patiently waited for what we become of Skye and that yummy Guardian Xander BUT never could I have come up with Miller did! It was FANTABULOUS! In true Skye fashion she crept away in the night to save Xander and her friends from being in harms way. What she doesn't expect is to meet Nickoli, he is suppose to be the enemy but Skye can't help but feels he can trust him! I will admit I don't like Nickoli, I know I know that's horrible of me to say but darn it Skye belongs with Xander!!

Then Skye's world gets crushed and Nickoli is there for her, I still don't want him anywhere near our girl!
I won't tell you the parts that made me stop breathing, the parts that made me cry like my world was shattering, or they parts that made me see red but, know that while I was reading this book I felt all those emotions and it was all thanks to Miller's amazing writing that made me feel those things!
She is an amazing writer and this book is epic! So is the ending! That being said I'm jumping up and down with wanting to know what happens next but, this book will hold me off while I wait.
Great Book GREAT Series Great (and yummy) Xander and Amazing Skye! If you love action, love, family, and magic then Never Let You Go is for you.

Never Let You Go is a wonderful follow up to Never Let You Fall. It's better than Never Let You Fall, which was a good debut with a strong foundation. The second book in the series allowed for the characters to really find their footing though.

Skye becomes more than a lost and broken girl. She's been thrust into a world, a life, she doesn't recall. She's had the weight of that world firmly secured to her shoulders but instead of hiding from it, she runs head first into it. She braves the unknown by herself. Determined to seek answers, find a way to better everything with not one person she cares for falling in the process. Lofty, and unrealistic, goals. But goals that come from a true heart, none the less.

However, seeking this path takes her away from Xander. Her guardian, her love, one of the few people she can truly trust. Yet it forces her into the life of Nikoli, a man who grew up with the idea of Skye. With the idea that she was his future and he's willing to fight for that idea.

Now, I usually run from love triangles of any kind. They aggravate me. I am not a fan of the idea that you can be in love with more than one person at a time. Yes, in love. I understand you can love multiple but the distinction between love and in love...is great. Here is where I bow down to the graceful way in which Miller produced this dramatic entanglement.

There was no simpering girl who just can't decide what path her heart wants to take. Sky thinks with her brain while still feeling with her heart. The progression of her and Nikoli's relationship is natural, it felt real and comforting. Her estrangement from Xander, just as real. Painful, beautiful but REAL. That's what this complication felt like. And it is, surely, a complication.

Xander and Sky have a forbidden soul mate type love. A love that can make a heart soar or, possibly, burn a kingdom to the ground.

Beyond the love story, Never Let You Go is a bit like the fantasy little girls dream up when young. It has the castle, the prince, the villains (that I wanted to take sharp objects to on many occasions), epic fight scenes, fantastical ethereal beings and an underlying deeper meaning.

I enjoyed this part of the story and eagerly wait for more.

After pining after it, when I finally got my hands on this book, I devoured it in matter of hours! Yes Girls, Michelle has done it again!

The book picks up right where the first instalment had left off. Skye is on a mission and she heads off alone, leaving Xander behind. Once she reaches the castle, things get really interesting and secrets are slowly revealed. She finds unexpected allies within the walls of the castle and as she tries to find the necklace that Griffin had told her about she stumbles upon facts and secrets that change a lot of things for her future. Xander is on the other hand off on his own adventure for the most part of the book, but finds his way to Skye in the end, as promised.

That was terrible summary of the book, but that is the best I can do without giving out any spoilers.

So, characters first… Skye continues to grow in this book and she achieves some admirable feats. Xander on the other hand becomes a bit stagnant when compared to Skye and we do not see as much growth in his character. But the pain he goes through manages to cut through the reader’s hear too. We are also introduced to a lot of characters in this book, some we had seen glimpses of or heard their names in the first book and a couple of new characters. I have to say… I am in love with Nicholai! He is smart, caring, brave and honest. And I absolutely love for everything he does in this book. The author’s story-telling technique is the same from the first book – simple language, smooth flow and engaging dialogues keep you glued to Skye’s story. There are once again surprising (and even shocking) twists in the story that is thrown at the reader at regular intervals to keep things interesting throughout. And once again the author has ended the book with a huge twist and an even bigger cliffhanger.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series because I wanna read more about Nicholai and also I am sure the author has some more twists up her sleeves for us. Can’t wait to find out how things are going to turn out.

This is a perfect series for all Fantasy lovers… So grab your copies while I pine away for the next book.

I LOVED it! The series is only getting better. We get to see a lot more of Tyalbrook in this one and it is everything a wonderful, magical land should be and more! Skye continues to be my BFF (Best Fictional Friend), and Xander is still the love of my fictional life ;). Not to mention the handful of new characters we get to meet in this one that are just as wonderful as the rest. Michele definitely has a talent for creating great characters that have a lot of depth. And the plot- THE PLOT! It is definitely thickening...... 5 starts for sure! :)

There really isn't much I can say about this book that isn't a spoiler in one way or another. But here is what I can tell you about the story (besides that it's freaking awesome), at the end of Never Let You Fall we know Skye sneaks off to face the new king on her own. Leaving Xander to fear for her life. Xander doesn't give up easily and gives chase as soon as he realizes what danger she's put herself in... and danger is exactly what she get's. But it is not just the danger of losing her life and her kingdom that she has to fight, she also has to fight the danger of losing her heart.

From the second I picked up Never Let You Go I was sucked in to the story of Xander and Skye, instantly pissed at Skye for her decision to leave without her guardian... and within the first few pages I was yelling at my kindle telling Skye that she was being stupid and that she needed to turn her butt around and go back to the safe arms of Xander. But I know she won't do that, it would be too easy and Skye is stubborn. Oh sure she leaves for the right reasons, to protect the ones she loves, but that doesn't make me want to smack her any less. And when her life is put in danger I quickly reminded Skye that she should have listened to me. (But you know, it's a book and she can't hear me so... it was basically me just yelling at my kindle... A LOT!)

By the end of the first ten chapters I was questioning everything that I thought I knew about the story. Like Skye I was confused and wondering which side was truly right and which side I should trust. Luckily we figure that out, but not before wicked wreaks havoc on Skye, her heart and mine. Never Let You Go was one huge emotional mountain after another. Every time I thought my heart was going to get a break, Michele G. Miller went and did something to trip me up. No matter how much I sat staring at my kindle bleary eyed, crying no, no, no, no, like a broken record I loved this story. I needed this story. I needed the characters. Skye's independence and stubbornness. Xander's dependability and pure intent. While I also needed the thirst to hate. I needed to be able to take my anger out on someone in this book and Michele G. Miller definitely gave me that. In fact she gave me quite a few people to hate. Although one I love to hate. I'm sure a lot of people love him, but as a dedicated fan of a certain hot and sexy guardian I cannot betray my heart. Oh sure he is fine and all, strong, loyal, trustworthy.... and all that but he is no XANDER plain and simple. (I know you are all looking at my like I've lost it, but trust me when you read this book it will all fall into place and you will realize the love hate thing).

During the crazy ride of Never Let You Go we learn quite a bit about our wonderful characters. Wonderful things... things that I definitely didn't expect (yea that happens a lot), we see each of the characters grow and face struggles and trials that test who they are and shape who they will forever become. Shocking truths are revealed, secrets are kept, and decisions are made that will impact the very future of every person in Tyalbrook. I still can't get over how topsy turvy this story was. Michele G. Miller really did keep me and my heart guessing until the very end.

Never Let You Go was and simply is beautiful! It made me question everything I thought I wanted, I knew. It had me tied in knots, it made me cry... A LOT, it made me yell, hate, love, and it left me in total shock! There was no way that I saw that ending coming, no freaking way! The road that this story is headed down is going to be a very twisted and bumpy one indeed. I for one am going to buy a ticket, buckle up and just hang on for the wild ride. Won't you join me in this adventure???

This review and many others can be found on my blog - Feed Your Fiction Addiction

Never Let You Go kicks the fantasy in this series into high gear! Where I felt like the first book was a bit lacking in its magical elements, that is not at all the case here - book #2 is fantasy through and through, which I loved!

This book picks up right where book #1 left off - Skye has just abandoned Xander to go off to the palace on her own, hoping to find the mysterious necklace that the Elf King Griffin told her about and save "her" (though Skye doesn't actually know who it is she's trying to save). But when she gets to the castle, she finds that the truth isn't as cut-and-dry as she thought and her enemies may not all be enemies after all.

The negatives:

The love triangle.
Maybe it's because it's been a long time since I read book #1, but I just didn't feel all that much of a connection to Xander in this book. Skye spends the entire book with Nickoli, who pretty much captured my heart right from the beginning. I kind of found myself thinking "Xander who?" no matter how often someone in the book mentioned that Xander and Skye were destined for each other. At the same time, it seemed obvious (at least to me) that Nickoli and Skye weren't going to end up together, so my adoration of Nickoli just felt a little fruitless. There were definitely some twists and turns with the romance - and I can't say who she actually ends up with at the end of the book (or if she even chooses), but the journey itself wasn't as interesting as it could have been because I wasn't connected to Xander.

What I loved:

True fantasy.
Unlike the first book in the series, this book felt like a true fantasy novel and I was truly drawn into Tyalbrook and it the lives of its people. There was a much greater sense of magic and mystical danger in this book, which I loved! I thought that Miller did a great job of worldbuilding in this book!

The mysteries.
Throughout the book, Skye is trying to learn the true story of what happened to her parents and who's side she should really be on. She's gotten one side of the story from The Guardians, but when she gets to the castle, she discovers that there is another version of the story being told. And she comes to realize that some of the people who she has always considered to be her enemies really just believe in that other version of events - and since she's really just going off of what she's been told, she doesn't always know what to believe herself. Then there's the king's obviously evil sidekick - but the question is, what is he up to and is the king in on it all? Meanwhile, Xander is learning some new truths of his own - and those truths may change everything. While I did kind of guess some of the twists in the book, I was still intrigued and excited to unravel the story as it went along.

Nickoli.
Did I mention that I'm in love with Nickoli? His sometimes overactive ego just made his softer, protective side seem that much sweeter. And I ached for him every time that Skye crushed his heart - why, oh, why Skye? I have a guess about what might happen with Nickoli in the future and I can't wait to read the next book so that I can see if I'm right. Since we got to see parts of this book from Nickoli's perspective, I'm hoping that we'll get even more of him in the next book (and that his heart doesn't get stomped on too badly)!

I definitely feel like this series is heading in a great direction and I can't wait to see what Miller has in store for us in book #3. I give Never Let You Go 4/5 stars.

First Thoughts: I was so excited to read this book, not only because Michele is so amazing and I love her to bits, but because it feels like FOREVER since I have read a YA book and I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I read this one!

The Story: This book picks up right where Never Let You Fall left off, which Skye running away from Xander, although it is for a noble reason (she is of course protecting Xander) it may have been slightly irresponsible. HOWEVER, this irresponsibility introduces us to my new book boyfriend Nickoli sooo I totally forgive her.

The Characters: All I want to do is talk about my love for Nickoli is that ok? No? Fine…
Skye really came found herself in this book, she has obviously bought into this whole ‘She will unite the kingdom’ business which is good because well FINALLY! She also became a true leader in this book as well. She embraced the role she was meant to have and although there were bumps in the road she took everything that was being thrown at her and owned it.
Xander, he was my book boyfriend in Never Let You Fall but… he has been replaced my by devotion to Nickoli. Its not that I don’t like Xander, I totally do, I just don’t think he is the perfect match for Skye anymore… my eyes have been opened to the possibility of his role being something other then the love of her life (although I totally do not question his love for her) I just think its more that he hasn’t known anything else so its almost like he is obligated to love Skye and be with her forever.
FINALLY!! Let’s get to my new book boyfriend shall we?
Nickoli, he is arrogant, cocky, loyal, sweet, super smoking hot, and a prince, I mean he is PERFECT! Yes he is misguided in his beliefs, but it appears that most everyone in Tyalbrook is, so that is easily forgiven… did I mention he was hot? Oh and he is super sweet! Like I mean SWOON! If I had my way he is the one that would end up with Skye forever, I think they are perfect together. He lets Skye be her own person and although he protects her he also knows that she can protect herself. That right there puts him number one on my list!

Final Thoughts: Jeez did I ever miss YA! Its just so sweet and not filled with hot sweatiness naked time (although I totally love those books too!) This book was a great second book in the series and sets up SO much to happen! I know Michele is working on a few other super awesome books (one that is yet untitled but trust me when I tell you it is going to be quite possibly her best book to date) but I am really excited for book 3 in this series because I have so many questions that I need answers to! Mainly… does she pick Nickoli or Xander???!!!!

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?
Never Let You Go is the second book in the The Prophecy of Tyalbrook series by Michele G. Miller. I am so unbelievably hooked on these characters, it's pure craziness. Once I get attached to a guy character, like I did to Xander in book one, I rarely like any of the other love interests that present themselves just as much. Then in walks Nikolai, and he messes with my whole plan. I really like him. A lot. I think I'm rooting for him now. I don't know. I'm conflicted. Ugggh! They are both pretty awesome dudes. Skye is one lucky girl in that respect.

Poor Skye. She has so much on her plate now. There are twists and turns that make it that much harder on her, but that much more wonderful for the reader. Like the first book, there are elves, demons, fae, royalty and castles, not to mention some weird ape creature. We get to meet new characters as well as hang out with some of the older ones. Manda was a great addition. I have high hopes for her in the next book. I could gush some more, but I really don't want to let anything slip. So, check it out for yourself! The Prophecy of Tyalbrook Series immerses me into a world I never want to leave.

The ARC of Never Let You Go by Michele G. Miller was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

Oh crap I wasn't expecting that. On that note, just as a warning there is a cliffhanger. Wow, this book was as fantastic as the first one was. I loved that there was many twists and turns that'll keep you guessing Many surprises. I just loved this book. I have't read any YA Fantasy book for a while and this series (trilogy?) is probably the only one I will read that ya fantasy.

Now that I'm thinking about this, Thanks a lot Michele Miller although you gave this book to me early and I appreciate it but now you got me impatiently waiting for the next book. GRR. :-(

To you readers who haven't read the first book to this I highly recommend you lovely readers to get that first then get a hold of this book. If you read the first book trust me you're going to want to get your hands on this book asap.

Overall I loved this book and highly recommend! 5 of 5 stars!

Another 5 star rating for Michele. Once I hit the second half of this book, I didn't want to put it down! Well, except for when a certain someone... Took a "leave of absence," I guess you could say... But, I resisted the urge to throw my phone across the room and curse Michele for all eternity (I read on my kindle app), and I was very happy my hopes and prayers paid off (haha). For a few days, I unintentionally took extra long lunch breaks at work, because I got caught up reading and lost track of time, and although I was hoping to finish the book on my day off yesterday, my husband's growling stomach meant that an hour and a half of lounging in bed and reading and skipping breakfast was about all I could expect him to take! My only question is, NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO UNTIL THE NEXT ONE IS RELEASED?! Ahhhhhhhhh!

Love this book...even better than the first in the series, it really gets into the world of Tyalbrook and the magic there. The author created an interesting mythology for the characters' history and I loved both the characters and the twists. Skye's confusion was believable to me since everything since meeting Xander has been intense and it has all happened so quickly! Plus there is a real connection with Nikoli...I kinda found myself rooting for him. Lots of suspense, adventure and romance. The characters were so real and engaging that I couldn't help getting invested in them. Can't wait for Book 3!

I didn't like that Xander and Skye were so much apart, and i certainly don't like the Nickoli factor. But all that was recompensed by the couple times Skye visited Xander in their dreams. I like the whole mystery thing, the not knowing what the hell is going on for sure, though it drives me crazy at times is what it kept me reading. Nice book and looking forward for the next release on the Tyalbrook series.

I was annoyed with a few things but I will definitely read the next in the series to see what happens. I like both guys in the love triangle which is rare for me & I actually like the underdog better, which is also rare for me. I hope theres more with the elves, they are cool characters. A long book so you get your moneys worth.

I really loved this book! I'm not sure what I like better though, the first book or the second book. It's a close call but I honestly think the second book is my favorite. I find it interesting what happens in the book, I love the suspense, I love the mystery, I love how it's just written in general. I rate this book 5 stars!

I loved this book just as much as the first!! This one was a little more agonizing to read though. As I read this, I wanted to hate Nikoli but I ended up loving him and hated that she would eventually have to make a decision......The side characters drew me into this book. The way they all took care of Sky and made her feel welcome in a strange land touched my heart. I am impatiently waiting for the third book and I know it will be just as good. Great job Michele!

The author really does need to work on plotting. The scenes weren't dramatic, and there wasn't really a "climax". The cliffhanger, I can't really count that as a climax because I didn't experience the emotional highs that go with a story climax (especially one of this genre).

If not for that cliffhanger just tacked on for the last 3 pages (in side character's POV), I wouldn't have decided to read book 3. The rest of the story didn't impress me.

However, the POV switching has improved since book 1. I'm glad conversations aren't being repeated.

I'll read book 3, but I really hope the author improves her plotting. Keep this in mind when writing a scene: what is the goal of the character when entering this scene, what is resolved, and what new problems are presented? If a scene doesn't have at least 2 of those, then it doesn't do a good job in furthering the plot. And story is all about the plot. We care about what happens next. Each scene should bring something crucial to the story. And if a scene has all three? Then it's a great scene!

This book picks up where book 1 left off. Skye leaves Xander behind to go to the castle to locate a necklace in her mom's old room. Once there she finds out that things aren't as easy it may seem. During her stay at the castle she meets Nikolai, a man who wants Skye for his own and will do what it takes to win her heart. Skye is learning that what she was told was just one side of the story and that not everyone or everything is what they seem. She is unsure of everyone and everything including herself.

This book is a great combination of fantasy, mystery and love. I absolutely loved Skye and Xander in the first book and now there was Nikolai who seems amazing. Michele is a great author and has written a very amazing story. I have been in love with this series since book 1 and I am anxiously awaiting the next one!

THE SECOND BOOK IS AMAZING. MUST READ SERIES!!!!!

After reading the second book in series, made me want to cry, scream, and yell at the author because she really made this book really amazing. At one point in the book, I want to cry and stop reading the book because I thought one person is dead, which really upset me. Then I continue reading, and that is not the case. If you do not understand what I am talking about, you have to read the book, but you have to read never let you fall first then this series.

cheestastic. the tween girls will totally swoon though. so while not something i enjoyed, i can totally see the audience. lots of face sucking. which really is the appropriate term. he isn't really romancing her, just slobbering.

Ok for some reason I liked this one WAY better than the first. Not sure why that is. Oh well, carry on! AND it includes a *gasp* believable love triangle! I am actually torn between the 2 guys, and am not sure who I would pick in the same situation.
