I don't just love this book because I co-authored it. I love this book because every time I re-read it throughout the editing process, the exercises made me want to start writing. And the essays made me feel like I had a champion who wanted me to get back to the page and make my best work (I'm not crazy, my co-author is often that champion in real life too).

We included book recommendations for each craft element, too, because it was the closest I could get to putting the Goodreads experience on the page.

One of the highest compliments we've received is that people's teenaged kids keep stealing the book from them and using it to make work.

This is a great book full of helpful exercises. I'm sorry it took me so long to get to it. I have found it very helpful in breaking some writing blocks and I can see how it would work for many different kinds of art.
