I just finished reading Closure. It is a book written by Angela Ford. It is a romantic suspense. Jess closed off her heart to everybody after her parents died. She didn’t want to get close to someone and get hurt all over again. She becomes an FBI Agent who profiles online predators. She gets involved in a case that hits close to her past. Will she find the closure she needs? Will she open hear heart to someone and learn to love?
I totally loved this book! It was amazingly wonderful! It was greatly written. I was on edge throughout the whole entire book. Reading this book was like reading an episode of Criminal Minds. Only better because I got to know what people were feeling. It was simply great!
The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that I felt it was a bit rushed in some parts. Not enough for me to lose my opinion of the book, but enough to make me wish that it had been longer and more written out. It was great though. Even if I felt it was a tad short. It was amazingly written.
I fully recommend this book. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would recommend it. It’s very well written and thought out. If you like Criminal Minds (the television show for those of you who don’t know what it is), you will definitely like this book. To repeat what I mentioned earlier, it’s like reading an episode of Criminal Minds. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to read this book!

Special Agent Jessica Resario specializes in tracking online predators for the FBI, and her work leaves no time for a personal life. But when a secret operation goes badly and a serial killer predator recognizes her, Jessica is forced back to her beach-side family home that holds too many dark memories.
Supervisory Special Agent Tom Erickson is used to being in command of operations and situations, however he has never been able to control his feelings when it comes to one special agent. Having Jessica in the latest dangerous situation with a serial killer makes Tom realize that he may be ready to face his true protective feelings for her.
Just as Jessica arrives back home to talk about her growing feelings for her boss, the FBI team discovers Tom is missing with only a trail of blood left for clues. Jessica is forced to face more than just eliminating an online enemy but perhaps a loveless future.
Fast paced and gripping, Closure plunges you into the action on the first page and leaves you reeling with each horrific revelation from Jessica's past. While the evolving romance between Jessica and Tom allows you to connect to the two of them and leaves you pulling for a true romantic connection in a time of extreme crisis.
********************************************************************************************************************************************** Awesome Review by Romance Reviews Magazine!
This is an American FBI based romantic suspense. We’re given a female agent - a complex stalker, and a classic covert romance budding between fellow agents. Thankfully that’s not all the author has given the reader. The heroine, Jess, has emotional problems linked to her past. Her love interest, Tom, similarly has a past he would rather forget. Neither reveals their covert feelings for one another, and I rather liked the way the author enlightens the reader to their innermost thoughts. This could easily have turned into a tired old cliché plot of agents shooting their way through crisis after crisis, then falling in love and straight off to bed. Ms Ford, though, luckily spins a little magic into her story with a dead agent brought back to life. And so the plot thickens. But who is watching Jess besides a dead agent, and who is stalking her? The more Jess puzzles over gathered evidence the more she fears the outcome. What is worse, the killer knows her name. Ordered off the case, Jess retreats to a safe haven. Jess is far from safe. Tom is far from safe. And the hero of the day is far from the expected hero. Well done Ms Ford for putting a jolly good twist in this tale. As a debut novelist I sense Ms Ford’s writing will grow with each new book she undertakes to write.

Excellent! By DS5408 on September 13, 2013 Format: Kindle Edition A gripping FBI search grounded by an as-yet-unrealized love story.
Closure is the story of Jess, a young FBI profiler working tirelessly to track sexual predators. When a close encounter with her target leaves her exposed she goes into hiding, forcing her to confront some deep secrets from her own past. To her surprise, it is those secrets that ultimately unlock the case she is now fighting to solve ten years later.
Adding to the story is the personal connections Jess has with the people around her. Orphaned a decade ago, those on her team have become her surrogate family, none more so than Tom, the team leader she has been denying feelings for since first meeting him.
This story grabs the reader in the opening sentences, plunging them right into the action and leaving them breathless to find out how and why this came to pass. The characters are well-rounded and very human, the case well-researched and informative. An excellent work by Angela Ford, appealing to readers of both suspense and romance. No Awesome Read! A real page turner By JenTheRiot on September 12, 2013 Format: Kindle Edition Amazon Verified Purchase I started the book last night and couldn't wait to get home tonight to finish it! It is a real page turner and a quick fast paced read . Jess is a young beautiful FBI agent who is working on an Internet case trying to find a killer. Her parents were tragically murdered ten years ago and she is trying to come to grips with that while working on this intense case. Coupled with that is the fact that she has feelings for her boss Tom, who like her has been hiding his true feelings during their tenure working together. After her folks died, Jess threw herself into her work, putting her life and happiness on the back burner. Tom, divorced with a teenage daughter has done the same after striking out in his failed marriage and relationship with his daughter . Working on this case, trying to find this Internet predator who is killing people, Jess comes face to face with the killer , escapes and he finds her. Unbeknownst to her, he is a character from her past. Follow Jess , Tom and the rest of the FBI team as they search for the UNSUB and in the process two people find a love that has been brewing for years. I loved the suspense of the story and the vivid descriptions of the setting and characters make for a delightful read. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes
No Engaging By Katie Fannin on September 9, 2013 Format: Kindle Edition I started this book with the intent to read a few pages to get the feel of it, and then put it down until after I finished the chores. Needless to say, the chores never got done. Angela's writing is engaging, sucking you in immediately and continuing to give reasons to turn the page. I found the characters easy to identify with and likable, and the plot intriguing. I enjoy fast reads, and this book gave me exactly that; suspense and action with a romance lure. I enjoyed it immensely. I like the cover, too, by the way. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes

I read the whole thing in one sitting. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

No Closure - Excellent Book By rita ford on September 2, 2013 Format: Kindle Edition Amazon Verified Purchase I have read Angela's Book Closure and enjoyed it immensley. It captures your attention from start to finish.I hope she continues her writing novels, they are the right length and the reading public will agree. Excellent writing , keep up the good work. Compelling romantic suspense read, August 31, 2013 By Anniereader (US) - See all my reviews This review is from: Closure (Kindle Edition) This is an exciting, entrancing book that starts with a bang - FBI agent Jessica Resario is hunting a dangerous killer and finally has him cornered. He's in disguise, but he recognizes her and calls her by name before making his escape. How does he know her name? Is Jessica the hunter actually the one being hunted?
At the same time, Jess is coming to terms with a difficult past. She goes to stay in the family beach house for the first time since the tragic death of her parents. (The sense of place here is masterful!) There, she finds clues that lead her to believe that all in her past was not as it appears.
I was on the edge of my seat as she contended with these dual mysteries and her own emotions. I loved how the father's old bureau partner made an appearance, and there was a very sweet (but not at all in-your-face) romance subplot. So glad I took a chance on this one! I can't tell if this is going to be a series or not, but I am hoping to see more from this author. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? 5.0 out of 5 stars A great, cleverly written story, August 13, 2013 By Margot (Vesel) Rising "Margot Rising" (Sandstone, Minnesota) - See all my reviews This review is from: Closure (Kindle Edition) Ford's story starts off with a bang. FBI Agent Jessica Resario of the Internet Security Task Force set herself up as a decoy, hoping to lure a suspect to herself instead of a teenaged girl who had shared emails with him. He has killed girls already and she has her gun ready to fire. He, however, not only took the bait, but managed to disarm Jessica and address her by name. He knew her. Did that mean he was aware of the Security team's actions?
Little by little, the plot thickens, as they say. The suspect is shrewd; although each chapter reveals new clues, it tends to add confusion. Were the murders of her parents involved? The author has done a great job of keeping us on the edge of our seats, yet at the same time describing the environment and team interactions beautifully. Her characters are all believable and the dialogue flows easily. It has everything, fear, danger, suspense and love.
I loved this book. Angela Ford has definitely a way with words. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

This was a very quick read and I really liked the story. It focusses on FBI agent, Jess Rosario, as she works the case of an internet predator who preys on teen girls. Throughout the story she struggles to come to terms with her past and learns to break down the protective wall she's built around her heart.
Closure is not a full-length novel, but rather a novella. And while novellas are great for some stories, I believe this story should have been extended into a full-length book. It was fast-paced and kept my attention, but I felt that too many things were rushed through. And too many things were explained instead of allowing the reader to experience them along with the characters - either as the events happened or through the character's dialogue. I think this would have added more depth to the story and given the author the opportunity for richer character development. Also, certain things seemed to be suddenly brought up out of the blue near the end. There would have been more credibility had these things been mentioned and explored earlier on.
Don't get me wrong - I really did enjoy the story. Very much, actually. I just feel that it could have been so much better had the author slowed the pace and allowed things to unfold for me through the characters' eyes. Just to give an example: Don't tell me that her parents died after she left for college - take me there and show me that experience through Jess's eyes. I would have liked to have seen Tom better developed too. Don't tell me he's been a crappy father throughout his daughter's life - show me through his conversations and interactions with her. And Mike - he's like a brother to Jess. Why? What was their relationship like? Maybe a content editor could have been useful? I don't know. I'm not a pro. This is just my opinion.
Anyway, these are my thoughts on Closure. I think it's a great little story and I enjoyed the read. I look forward to reading more by Angela Ford to watch as her writing skills further develop. :)
Theres a huge number of books on my TBR list and Ive wanted to read Closure for the longest time.
Jess is an FBI agent whos hunting down an internet stalker. The stalker nearly kills her but she escapes and takes refuge at her old family summer house. Shes strong in every aspect of her work life but she hides and keep people away from her personal life. Shes afraid of losing the ones she cares about because the trauma in her past just won't let go of her.
Shes secretly in love with her boss, Tom, but she doesnt make a move until later on in the book. (Romance is a subplot while the action and mystery takes front seat, which is awesome because, lately, Ive been bored with strictly romance books.) Anyway, Tom has feelings for her as well but he doesnt act on them right away. The internet stalker and endangered teenagers plot takes precedence over most everything else. This is a workplace romance (boss/employee) so I was glad to see that they acted appropriately with one another in front of other people.
This story is fast-paced and compelling with great, well-rounded characters. Jess is determined to find out the truth about her parents' death, her personal stalker and she wants nothing more than to stop a predator. Tom has his own problematic past (failed marriage and a rebellious daughter) but he works through it as Jess comes to turns with hers. These characters are flawed humans and it makes the reader root for them because of their pain and mistakes. They help each other as friends and once their friendship moves into romanceWOW. I love this couple!
I love FBI/government romantic suspense and this book didnt disappoint. I highly recommend this debut novel from Angela Ford.

This novel I must admit has been on my to read for a minute kept wanting to get to it but would keep putting it off until I was finished with whatever commitment I had on reading but finally could not resist no more because it looked so good. On the plus side for me good thing I started it when did not have to work next day because once I stayed off internet and got into this one this author is lethal in that once you begin you are bound and hogtied right off the page one you have turned because she know her stuff. This novel promises intrigue and romance which it does most certainly deliver in large quantities. Jessica is one strong alpha female character that right away is in a dangerous situation that she must get out of so while you are right there with her that is when this author has you bound if you are into danger and what happens next with your characters. Also introduced is the main man Tom who also happens to be her boss of the team she is one. The case they are on is a good one which any one can relate to as it is a modern day dilemma that is happening more frequently but also though there is a twist that is just for this story that brings even more excitement to the read. Very appropriate title also. The twists and turns of this novel are really only separate threads to one main villain that you will be revealed to who he is in the reading of this exciting novel. Jessica herself will have to put closure on incidents that have occurred in her life at those are accomplished quite nicely by the writing style of this author as she brought to life these characters and their tale. The romance level just perfect fit with this novel as it went with the type of story it is and did not overshadow the action that is written. As mentioned earlier once I picked this up did not repeat did not put this down until finished so better late than now worked in this case since I had no interruptions like work and loss of sleep was the only thing well worth it though.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads!
I received it in the mail yesterday and finished it early this morning. The cover is very beautiful and the books content lives up to its beauty. The story is very engaging and the characters are very likeable and real. This story is about Jess, whose parents were murdered when she was a young teenager. She becomes an FBI agent and her current case is about to send her hurtling into the past. The book is aptly named because Jess and Tom (her boss and love interest) will both receive closure from their pasts and maybe will start a future together. You will have to read to find out more. This is definitely a keeper and will be part of my personal library for a good many years to come. I will totally be reading this over and over again!
I would totally recommend this book for anyone who loves a good romance or for someone who loves a mystery (suspense).
Closure is Angela Ford's début romantic suspense novel and what a novel it is. Although its short its very well written and the storyline was fantastic. It felt rushed in places but only slightly and didn't really effect the flow of the story. This book is about Jessica a career driven young woman who is working on a case for the FBI, she's closer to the case than she realises and Angela Ford unravelled the plot really well I was hooked, the suspense aspect is wonderful, the romance side does take a back seat, though it was worth it because the issues of teenagers, internet predators and social networks being the perfect hunting ground for these people has been written and portrayed really well. This book is essentially about learning to live with your past and the things you can't control and learning to let love in and live your life as anything can happen. well done Angela Ford, brilliant story, very well written. 4.5 stars
Jessica Resario is an agent in the FBI's Internet Task Force, chasing predators who troll for teenage victims in chat rooms and through social media. After her latest case goes awry, Jess heads home at the behest of her boss, Tom, a man she secretly has strong feelings for--feelings that are secretly reciprocated. But Jess and Tom both have murky pasts, and Jess is about to face hers head-on. Could the tragic death of her parents have something to do with a secret they kept from her? A secret that might also connect to the current case she and her team are hoping to solve before another teen winds up in this monster's clutches?
From the first sentence, Ms. Ford pens a real page-turner with enough twists to keep you wanting to read one more chapter. In Closure, she provides just enough suspense, just enough police procedural, and just enough romance--all with that dash of surprise to leave you breathless. Amazing!
Now normally if you've been following my reviews you'll see that I'm a big fan of paranormal, contemporary romance type of novels. Action, suspense and mystery aren't usually what I read and after reading this book I'm not sure why this book was fantastic. I loved how easy it was for me to get hooked. I loved how it was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. This book was well-written and easy to follow. I loved that this book was of more than one point of view which helped me connect to the characters. I loved that Jessica was selfless and put others before herself even if it risked her life. I loved how everything felt complete in the ending, I noticed many books out there sometimes leaves the readers guessing but this one won't leave you feeling that way. Overall I loved this fast-paced, action-packed book and recommend you lovely readers to check it out. 5 of 5 Stars.
Closure is the story of Special Agent Jessica Resario. The FBI Internet Security Task Force that she is a part of has become her family after an unfortunate string of events that leave her parents dead. Because I am a contemporary romance writer, I Initially read Closure through the eyes of a contemporary romance writer. It left me wanting more character detail and more meat to the situations described. Then...something inside me said "read it again...only this time as a young adult reader" so that is what I did and I saw a totally different story. I would highly recommend Closure as a quick read to the 12-17 year old audience and to their parents. Angela Ford has addressed a very real, very crucial part of our society that attacks our youth. The situation unfolding in this book could have been about any number of young people who use the internet.
I was given Closure for exchange of an honest review, and honest it will be:)
I LOVED it! Closure has everything you are looking for in a romance, and so much more. My heart is still racing and I finished the book hours ago.
I’ve been honored the chance to work with Angela in creating the book trailer’s for Closure and Unforgettable Kiss. I never thought I would like Closure as much as I did when I started working on the trailer, I honestly figured it would be like all the other books I’ve reviewed, once the book is finished I would forget it and move to the next. But I can’t! All I can think of today is how much I loved it, and wish I had time to read it again.
Now, that’s my opinion, the only way you can know is to read it for yourself. I promise, you won’t regret it:)
We meet Special Agent Jessica Resario who has tried to lure out an internet stalker who is killing young victims. When the takedown goes wrong Jessica must escape the danger. She returns back to her childhood vacation home where tragedy took place. While there she discovers some secrets that may have to do with the murder of her parents.
This book keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. When Jessica's past and present come together it keeps the action going. The team struggles to keep ahead of the killer and keep everyone safe. Team members are hurt and the killer wants Jessica. Will they catch him before something horrible happens. Read Closure and find out!
I received a gift copy in exchange for an honest review.
Hold On To Your Seat....You're in for an exciting ride! I love it when a book grabs my attention right from the first page and holds it right to the end! Closure certainly did that and more. I could hardly read the book fast enough from wanting to know what was going to happen next! From edge of your seat suspense, an amazing team of agents and an extremely intelligent and illusive UNSUB, the story grabs your attention and doesn't let it go. If you enjoy action packed suspense, a little romance and some twists thrown in you are certain to enjoy Closure...in my opinion it is definitely a must read!
This book takes all of the standard elements of thriller, and FBI agent hunting down a serial killer, and a romance, Jessica, the free spirit that always follows her gut instincts and Tom, her tall, dark and handsome FBI colleague, and it weaves those elements together with great writing and a gripping story to give you an addictive book that is impossible to put down. I read the whole thing in one sitting. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it. - 5/5 stars
Holy crackers! This book was a fantastic thrill ride. There is so much action in this book from start to finish that it will make you sit on the edge of your seat! I honestly loved the book and would recommend it to my drama, action and romance friends. I love Tom, and the whole twist at the end was enough to make me want to jump out of my chair. Loved the book, and I look forward to reading more from this author!
FBI agents, murderers, tension, mystery. For a debut novel, Closure is a gripping book, with realistic, and interesting characters, and seemingly a really realistic depiction of FBI approaches. Despite (perhaps) not being the target demographic for this book, I enjoyed the suspense/thriller aspects, and I think there is certainly scope within the characters for a follow up. I would love to see what the team get up to next!
Angela Ford has done a brilliant job with this book. It has such a great suspenseful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. While at the same time, she intertwines a story of romance that makes you jealous of the characters love.
Simply put: this is a book you will not want to put down until you finish it. Easily a 5-star book. I look forward to more from this author!
A fun, emotional read about a female FBI agent grappling with the biggest case of her career...and possibly her life, full of vivid details and action, especially when she heads back to her family homestead on the beach to uncover surprising secrets!
This book was amazing. It was filled with action, suspense and overdue romance. I loved how family and work collided. It was a story that captured you quickly and took you wherever it led. I look forward to reading the next book.
If you love strong female characters, you will love Jess Resario! Closure is an action packed thrilling ride from start to finish. Author Angela Ford is a wonderful storyteller! I can't wait to read her next book!
I was thoroughly pleased with this book. I love a good mystery crime book and this was just that, with a little more mixed it. This was my first Angela Ford read and I couldn't be more pleased. I look forward to the next one.
**Book provided by author for an honest review** This book has action, drama, and suspense, it's madness!!
The story involves an FBI special units team, named "Internet Security Task Force" or ISTF for short. The man in charge of this special unit is Tom Erickson, and his team members are Jessica Resario, Mike Turner, Gina Edwards and Eric Matthews. Their sole purpose is to seek and destroy internet predators. Plus, Tom and Jessica have the hots for each other but refuse to act on their feelings, even though like, the whole office knows they have the hots for each other. Nothing like a good pedophile hunt to start a relationship, right!
Their latest case has them chasing a serial killer. He has currently killed three young teenage girls, and is on the hunt for his next victim. Tom and his team are desperately trying to get one step ahead of this guy before he kills again. Jess likes to run on her "instincts" rather than protocol, has a "feeling" of where the scum will hit next and jumps the fence to rush and intersect his next target. Doing so brings her face to face with the psycho, and she barely gets away with her life! After phoning in to Tom and her identity being revealed to the killer, he orders her to go to a safe location and stay there until it is safe for her to return.
The next step for the team is to try and lure the killer out into a trap, so Tom arranges for Eric and Gina to go undercover. Eric will play the "dad," Harry Rothburn Jr., a rich, well known son of a business dude, and Gina will be his daughter, Melissa Rothburn. Gina will infiltrate the private high school as a senior student, get cozy with the "in crowd," and arrange a party at her place when daddy is away. While the team is hard at work, Jess returns to the family summer home in Vineyard Haven, a small beach community on the east coast. And it just so happens to be where her parents were murdered right after she left for college. This being the first time Jess has been back there since the murders, she is unprepared for the emotions just being there will bring. While Jess is there, she uncovers who her father worked for and what he did, a potential lead on who may have killed them, and she has to maybe, just maybe, allow herself to ponder and reflect on her true feelings for Tom. I mean, come on! Why would working on hunting down sick psychos put a damper on your love life!
The story line was very good. It reminded me of that television show Criminal Minds. I totally love that show, and it was like reading an episode! With that being said....the romance part of the story line was a total disconnect for me. Don't get me wrong, I love my romance novels, but with the main story of hunting a serial killer and the drama of that, I feel like the romance took a back seat and didn't have the opportunity to bloom and flourish throughout the book. I can't wait to read Forbidden which continues to follow Jessica's story. My hope is the love/work relationship have more of a better flow to it.
What a book! Closure is an excellent suspenseful novel which is compelling and fascinating the whole way through. With the right combination of suspense and romance, Angela Ford has written a great book which had me hooked.
There’s a stalker on the loose, an online predator and really this is an issue which should be written into more books since the online world dominates the lives of so many people these days. We follow Jess through the mystery of discovering the truth behind what happened to her parents and also as she tries to keep herself safe too. We learn about her feelings for Tom and the whole book and character development from start to finish was engaging and done well. I loved Jess’ character – she was strong and brave and easy to like. There were plenty of characters to like in Closure.
I love novellas and I thought the suspense in this book worked really well in the fast pace. It kept me gripped and desperate to see what happened next and the rush in the book was addictive. I really loved that. My only slight negative with the pace comes towards the end where I felt things became a little rushed and over-explained. As a reader, I like to be able to work things out for myself and not be told how to feel so personally, I would have preferred to have seen the suspense extended to replace a little bit of the over-explaining.
With that being said, Closure was still a fantastic book. The first page caught my attention and I read the rest in one setting, enthralled and eager to see what was going to unfold next. Closure represented a serious, real issue which the author wrote perfectly and if all quick, suspense novels could be as captivating as this, I’d be a happy lady.
Special Agent Jessica Resario is a member of a task force focusing on internet child predators. She's a bit of a loner ... willing to do what it takes to bring them down in order to save a child. Her boss, SSA Tom Erickson always seems to be covering for her with the big bosses. Of course, he is in love with her and will keep her protected from the higher-ups as much as possible.
When a sting goes bad, Jessica is ordered to take some time off, as the predator they were watching, seem to know her personally. She winds up at her parents' summer home, which only increases her stress. Her parents were brutally murdered in the beach home 10 years earlier .... the killer was never caught.
She accidentally finds something related to her deceased father's job .... and what she finds is connected to the present case.
The plot and sub-plot are believable as it fits in our modern world. That being said, I found the book a little short of excitement, suspense, or intrigue. It is a short book ...less than 200 pages... it felt a little rushed.
The last 1/3 of the book is strictly romance. She has issues ... he has issues. And they finally admit what they feel for each other when he is injured by the bad guy.
I'm a bit confused about what genre I was reading. Not quite suspense .. not quite romance. I also have her next book in this series ... FORBIDDEN... which continues with Jessica and Tom and their next case. It will be interesting to see if there are any changes in her writing style.
I gave this 3.5 stars. It definitely wasn't the worst book I've ever read. It was interesting enough to keep me reading and that's important.
My thanks to the author who graciously sent me her books in exchange for an honest review.
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review
Jess has had to overcome tragedy in her life. Her parents had been murdered in their home and she was left with unanswered questions. She finds out that her dad had worked for the government and now wonders if he knew something that got him and her mom killed? Jess is a very determined strong willed woman. She work with the FBI as a profiler. As I started reading the book, I felt a sense of walking onto the stage of Criminal Minds and observing as they present a case. The use of the word UNSUP had my attention quickly as the team hunts for an online predator who kills without warning.
Jess gets a lead and thinks she has found the UNSUB. During an intense encounter the suspect gets away and leaves Jess with many unanswered questions. Her boss pulls her from the case for her safety. She retreats to a very familiar place where she soon will discover is not so secure. I love the character development of Jess. The author gives us a glimpse into her past and the emotional scars she still deals with. Her boss, Tom is a fierce protector of Jess . Do they have feelings for each other? Is it possible that Jess knows the UNSUB?
The book is well written with non-stop action and twists and turns that have you guessing until the end. This is not a typical mystery that can quickly be guessed by the reader. The brilliant writing gives you subtle hints of who the killer may be. The author keeps you glued to the book anticipating the identity of the killer and shocks you when the killer is revealed. I love intrigue and this is a perfect book for those who love a great mystery with a powerful ending.

Exciting new romantic suspense from debut author, Angela Ford. An elite FBI task force tracks online predators while they hunt their prey. A series of murders in Presario Heights has forced Special Agent Jessica Resario to follow her gut instinct to save the next victim. Supervisory Special Agent Tom Erickson removes her from the case. The only place to escape the danger is her family beach home. She hadn’t been there since her parents were murdered. The level of intensity climbs higher with her discovery of postcards marked “I Crave You”. Old ghosts, secrets, imminent threats and an inevitable attraction to Tom send her on an emotional roller coaster. If that wasn’t enough, she opens the door to a man she thought was dead. Tom is stabbed and his case files go missing…high emotions put Jess at the killer’s mercy.
This was an amazing quick read. Loved the FBI theme to the plot & the characters were very easy to understand. This is the first book I've read by this author & I look forward to reading more.
To be honest I read few Romance Story genre's and I have never read any Angela Ford books. I was pleasantly surprised and ready to read the next one.
A touch of "Criminal Minds" suspense and a soft romance story included, this made a great duo for the beach or a carry along. The book is a short story that is well laid out and moves quickly. I wasn't satisfied reading a few chapters, you just want to keep reading. The story is as intriguing as the description given. Agent Resario is part of an FBI team of profilers, trying to catch a serial killer before he claims his next victim. Soon to find out the hunt will become personal and in the midst of it all dealing with the fear of giving in to her feelings. She has emotional turmoil from her past, that keeps her quiet and non expressive to how she feels. The book is more realistic to a real relationship that would be kept quiet, until circumstances bring out the realization of possibly of being alone. I am hooked!
