Hans Holzer, whose investigations into the paranormal took him to haunted houses and other sites all over the world, wrote more than 140 books on ghosts, the afterlife, witchcraft, extraterrestrial beings, and other phenomena associated with the realm he called “the other side.” Among his famous subjects was the Long Island house that inspired The Amityville Horror book and film adaptations. Holzer studied at the University of Vienna, Austria, and at Columbia University, New York, earning a master’s degree in comparative religion. He taught parapsychology at the New York Institute of Technology. Holzer died in 2009.
I don't think that anything groundbreaking was figured out in this book, bit that wasn't the point of it. This is more a collection of investigations done by Holzer and that is the interesting part.
I thought this book was really interesting. The information given by non-traditional means was often extremely accurate and, given the author's scientific approach to doing research to find supporting evidence, in many cases very convincing. The book is very easy to read, the author writes very clearly and I found him to be quite likeable from the book. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in esp or remote viewing.
I thoroughly enjoyed this literary piece and had the pleasure of working on it with Crossroads Press. A must read! More suggested reading from the collection are as follows: * Tales At Midnight * Yankee Ghosts * Astrology * How to Cope with Problems * Beyond Medicine * Speed-Think
