Get swept away by this beautifully intense story of the infant church of first-century Judea in the captivating continuation to the beloved Crowning Crescendo series.

Sheltered from the brooding turmoil sweeping through Jerusalem lives Mary—a savvy, independent businesswoman of the Upper city who is assured of her life’s course. But when the disciples of the controversial Rabbi appear at her doorstep requesting the use of her Upper Room for the Passover, she has little idea that God’s plan for her is about to unfold.

When Mary’s life comes crashing down, she is determined to walk in the will of God—despite fierce opposition from all sides. She throws herself into action as the fledgling church explodes into an unstoppable force that sets the world ablaze with the power of the gospel.

Meanwhile, Mary’s favored maidservant, Tabitha, agonizes over her inability to walk in the Holy Spirit. She must learn to entrust the pain of her past and an unknown future in the hands of an all-knowing God. But when a fiery Hellenist is hired to fill a vital position in the household, Tabitha’s resolve is tested.

Finding the Way may be more challenging than Christ’s followers ever imagine d as Mary, Tabitha, and a cast of familiar characters from the New Testament stand firm for the church of God.

Rachael Duncan is one of the best New testament Biblical fiction writers, I have read. She stays in line with with the Bible. While bringing the people and times to life. While there is a little romance, it is mostly about Jesus and redemption.

Wonderful!

So many times, the application to scripture was a powerful witness to my soul.
I would often stop, and immediately pray,
( often with tears)
Lord forgive me, or help me love you more, etc.

It had lots of scriptures, doctrine and applications.

The author brought to life, the history and times,
of the beginning of the Christian church,
after Jesus ascended to Heaven.

She followed the Bible accurately, but filled in where it was silent.
However, I often imagined,
it could have actually been those thoughts, reason and actions,
were the reasons, the apostles chose to do or say what they did,
in God's Word, the Bible.

The characters in the novel, struggled with the very issues believers do today,
like: unkind thoughts, anger, depression, lack of faith, worry, sadness, etc.
Nevertheless, it was so encouraging to see how they grew in faith,
and how the fellowship of other believers strengthened and encouraged each other.

I am looking forward to reading the next in this series, even knowing,
much more difficult times are coming, as the enemy of our souls will ramp up his assault,
on the followers of the Way.
In fact, I am anxious to see how the author will show the dedication,
loyalty and love to their Lord and Savior Jesus, even if it means dying a wrongful death.

Finding the Way displays the author's biblical knowledge and historical research into the period following the death and resurrection of Christ and the early days of the Church. She fleshes out people named in Scripture and describes the faith and passion of early believers as danger dogs their steps and challenges their faith. At times she includes too many details and repeated descriptions, thereby slowing the plot. I would prefer fewer POV characters and focus on the story through the eyes of the main characters.
