After being turned into a snake by Snape and Dumbledore and unable to change back, Lord Voldemort has no choice but to turn to the only other living Parselmouth, Harry Potter. After making a deal with each other, Harry agrees to help the Dark Lord return to his human form. Forced to work together, how will Harry deal with having Voldemort live around his neck?
When I read the summary for this story, I was expecting something completely ridiculous and out of character. And it was, a little. But when I saw how many people had followed it on Fanfiction and apparently enjoyed it, I relented. I decided I'd read the first chapter and go from there, and in the end, I loved it. The author has to be a freaking genius to have managed to incorporate all the elements - horcruxes, Hallows, and prophesy included - of the original books in a believable Harry Potter and Voldemort love story. I honestly didn't think it could be done, but was glad to be proven otherwise.
The writing was good so the author has great potential but the plots were not developed and the characters seemed underdeveloped as well. The last chapter was a total waste. The idea was funny in the beginning but then it got old and the momentum of the story just made the whole story boring. All the characters were in a bubble. Harry only interacted with a few people and the entire school of Hogwarts and the rest of the world was non-existent until the author thought of some use for a certain character. Harry barely talked to Hermoine and Ron. They were completely useless and they just talked to Harry because the author wanted to show that they were there and still his friends. Harry didn't even think about them much. This book could have been awesome but it was mildly irritating at best and utter disappointment and waste of time at worst. I am still giving it 3 stars because it is not a published book so it is allowed to be a little bad. If this were published, it deserved a 1 star.
Well, the plot is intriguing and surprising, as a fan-fiction, it's entertaining and totally romantic. The first part of the story--Voldemort being a snake--was quite funny and hilarious, though after he was turned back to human, things got a bit too smoothly. And the minor grammar errors were a bit distracting. Still, I recommend this to all Tomarry fans!
