EX - Library book with all the usual stamps and markings. Mark to forword page. Black marking to page edges. Richard Reti was one of the top players in the world during the 1910s and 1920s,
Quite a good book. Most of the 'modern' ideas are now commonplace, so the title is no longer fitting. I enjoyed playing through some of the interesting French Defence games included and chuckled every time Réti spelt 'manœver'.
Have an old Dover edition that I first read and marked up back in the 80s. Not algebraic, but the marked passages are all useful reminders. I suppose it's dated now, but is still a great overview of positional chess and an introduction of the hypermodern ideas from one of the originators.
