Eve is a powerhouse. She knows what she wants and exactly how to get it. Carter, Eve's boss and best friend, is aware that she is this way and will play her game. Mainly because he's had a thing for her for years but won't admit it. She feels the same but is too into her job to do anything about it. When Eve gets attacked, everything changes.

Like Jill's Pride series, this book focused on a different couple and it was great to get to know Carter and Eve better! Can't wait to read the rest of the series and catch up with the characters I've already "met"! Jill, thank you again for allowing me to read and review one of your books!

They've battled wits for years and fanned the flames of attraction, but after an attack leaves Eve with amnesia will Carter finally make his move? Great plot wrapped around intriguing characters to entertain and delight for hours. The narrator really brings the audiobook to life and gives the characters even more depth than the author has already created for us!

★★★★Secret Identity by Jill Sanders (Secret Series #5)

I was given this Beta in exchange for my honest opinion.

While, I hadn't ever really given much thought to Eve's character before, she definitely changed my opinion in this one.

It was interesting watching her reconnect with herself. She was definitely not the girl I thought she was.

I really wish I could hate her, but I don't. Maybe, I just don't want to see Carter hurt again.
Damn you, Eve. Hopefully this brain rattle, knocked some sense into you.

4.5 sweet stars.....
Eve and Carter had kept their feelings for each other secret for too long. After failed relationships, they finally find each other single at the same time. Being that they have always been in each other's lives it was only a matter of time.
After a tragic accident that stole Eve's memories it is Carter that nurses her back to health. She slowly starts to regain her memories and more importantly just how deep her feelings are for Carter.
Throughout this book there is a sense of deep devotion and love between not only Eve and Carter but also their best friend Mitch and his fiancé Sandi. This is a sweet romance with a HEA.
Much thanks to Jill for a copy. Great job! Can't wait to see what's next.

I’m not sure why, but I didn’t care for book 4 and really didn’t like book 5. Not sure if I should finish the series out.

Disclosure: I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Eve is a smart, sexy, savvy, and gutsy business woman in the PR world. She can manipulate anyone caught in her web, even her best friends, Carter and Mitch. But Eve wants more, more than just being "on-board" at E&K, the firm Carter and Mitch started, she wants to be a full partner. And she has a plan. She wants to become a partner on her terms, not because of the childhood friendship she shared with her co-workers. However, friendships can be complicated, especially with Carter.

On a business trip to Chicago, Eve is ready to "wow" the next client; though, Eve wants to "nail" a new account alone, Carter tags along for the ride and has a secret of his own. However, Eve has secrets of her own, and she is willing to use all the weapons in her arsenal to get what she wants. On the plane ride over, she reveals to Carter how she wants to become a partner and lays down her cards. By the time they land at O'Hare, Eve has spun her web and Carter is happily caught.

Out on the town after a successful business meeting with a "new" client, Carter and Eve discover that maybe there is so much more than friendship between them. When a twist in there business trip takes a horrifying turn.

After being mugged in an alleyway outside of a Chicago pub, Eve is left with amnesia. She can't remember herself or those around her, things are only familiar.

Carter decides there is only one thing to do. Take the advantage. So, in order to keep Eve safe and near him, he takes her to their childhood home in Maine. There, he nurses not only Eve's physical wounds but her wounded soul, too. Confessing all the feelings he kept from Eve over the years, and their engagement, Carter knew that one day his false confession of possible marriage would one day be revealed, but not yet. He ensures that Eve is cared for, loved, and most of all, made love to on a constant basis. And all though reality is just a memory away Carter knows that in order to make Eve well, she will need to remember. And remembering might be the end of what was built at the house near the shore.

Secret Identity is a suspense romance. Like all the others in this series, however, this is has to be one of my favorites. Like all of the woman in the Secret series, Eve is a strong lead woman. Which I happen to love.

What I love about this book is that it doesn't go on forever. It is to the point and doesn't meander very much. So, your not "WHAT?" or "OMG!" The love scenes are sexy, and because this is a relationship that developed over a long period of time, for both character, it's pleasurable to envision these characters engaged with each other.

The other aspect that I like is the story can stand alone, and one doesn't need to read the previous novels in order to enjoy the story.

What I didn't love about the book, is that it's predictable. If there is a downside, predictably will be it's only fault..

My overall rating of this book is "YAY" rating or 4 stars. It's a great Airport, waiting in the Doctors, riding on the bus read. You won't be disappointed by the characters or the steamy love scenes.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. I had not read the synopsis for this one before I started reading and was not sure what to expect. And all I can say is WOW, this one had me from the very first page and I could not put it down. Eve works with her two best friends, Carter and Mitch. They have been friends forever. Cater has secretly loved her for almost that long too. Eve is a determined person and she usually gets what she wants. She wants to be partner with Cater & Mitch and will not stop until she gets it. When she heads to Chicago for a potential customer, Carter tags along. She lands the client and Carter wants to take her out to celebrate. They go to a local pub and after a few green beers and dinner, they head back to their hotel. When things suddenly take a turn for the worse and Eve is left with no memory. Can Carter help her remember their past? Will there be a future for them? What really happened to Eve after they left the pub? If you like a story with love, heartache, pain, best friends, twist and turns, then this one is for you. Another great story by Jill Sanders. I am looking forward to the next one in this series.

**Given Copy For Honest Review** **Contains Spoilers** I have read several books by this author and I can honestly say that she has once again written a great story. Eve and Carter have been best friends since they were young and their relationship was starting to take a turn toward romance when tragedy strikes and Eve is left with no memory. These two characters push through her memory loss and she finds that she is in love with Carter. It killed me when she lost her memory because of Carter. He loved her so much and just when you thought things were going good, he gets punched right in the gut!! He takes his time and tries to help her remember her life by telling her about herself and their past. In the end they get their HEA after tragedy almost takes Eve away from him again. It is a great book that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. I would highly recommend this book if you like mystery, suspense and romance all wrapped up in one!!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I have read a few of the other books in this series and this did not disappoint. You don't need to read the other books in this series to get the full experience of this book.

Eve works with her two best friends, Carter and Mitch. Carter has always had a thing for her and finally sees a chance to be with her. While on a business trip in Chicago, they finally start to be romantic with each other when tragedy strikes Eve and she can't remember who she is anymore.

I really enjoyed this book. Once I started it I didn't want to put it down. This has a great combination of romance and suspense. I really enjoyed the way Carter was with Eve after the accident and really felt the love blooming between them. My only issue with this book is when Eve starts to learn of the person she was. It seemed a little rushed and I never really understood her motives or if she really understood why she was the way she was.

I definitely will read more of this series and can't wait for the next book to come out!

Eve and Carter have been best of friends since they were in grade school, one not so innocent kiss years later and then back to best friends again like nothing happened. they work together and hang out like best friends do but neither one knows that the other one has feelings for them. throw in an attack in a dark alley that causes amnesia which might just be the thing to make them acknowledge their desires.

I was so into the story that I finished it in one afternoon. I have really enjoyed this entire series so far and I look forward to the next book, but I just say I have been waiting for this story of Eve and Carter and I wasn't disappointed at all. they have a great friendship and great chemistry which makes for a great romance.

Love Eve and Carter, great main characters, They have been friends all their lives and both have feelings for each other but they never found the "right time" to share their feelings. When Eve has a tragic experience and is left with no memory Carter is by her side, sharing memories with her and being their for her..Love him.. they find the love they always felt for each other again but it didn't come easy. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading, I wanted more, the story was great and the characters were even better. Very emotional and sad but uplifting and Loving all in one...5 stars . This is a friends to lovers story..
Carter has always been in love with his best friend Eve...
He hires her at his ad agency so he can be closer to her, but she doesn't seem to notice him..
Eve decides she want to leave the business, just after she tells him she is going to leave, she is attacked.
With a nasty concussion and a bad case of amnesia, Carter can't help himself and tells her that they are a couple, but she can't deny the feelings she has for him..
I must admit I was on team Carter all the way, he shouldn't have lied to her, it was the wrong thing to do, but I could see they've he felt for her!!

This a good weekend read to relax to.
The heroin Eve gets a chance to do what most want, to get a redo on life. After an attack Eve wakes with no memory of who she is or the life she lives. There to help her through this scary path of learning who she is again is her best friend Carter. What Eve doesn't know is that her friend Carter wishes that they were more then friends and uses this time to hopefully win her heart.
I enjoyed taking this journey with Eve to discovering who she was and who she is now.

This is the 3rd book I read by Jill Sanders. This story was kind of confusing to me it starts off with a kiss between Eve & Carter, then it goes into someone waking up in the hospital, then it goes to Eve & Carter on a plane. That was kind of confusing to me. I wish it would have started off with someone in a hospital then worked its way from there. Then that would have had my interest. I like Jill Sanders books but this one isn't for me.

Another wonderful read!!

I enjoyed this story. Love all the "Pride" series. The only complaint I have are with the reversed letters & annoying words not spelled correctly. But it didn't distract from the story. Just a little annoying. This is a good, heartwarming read. I read it in one day (less really). I do suggest the entire series but this can be read as a stand alone.

Still enjoyed the characters from the previous books in the series but this one had a lot of sloppy editing and inconsistencies. Plus some of the plot was too contrived and some too predictable.

Eve and Carter have been friends since grade school, but just as she is about to be offered a partnership in his ad agency with his best friend, she is brutally attacked and winds up with amnesia. Carter takes it upon himself to care for her while she recuperates. Although she doesn't remember him, she gets a sense that she can trust him. While reading her past journals, she decides she doesn't even like her old self.

Lots of twists and suspenseful turns in the story. Was the attack random or was it planned? It's both a good love story and redemption story!

A partnership is finally offered to Eve by her two best friends, Mitch and Carter. Her next goal, Carter. A rival agency owner has his sights on Eve, and causes her to lose her memory. Eve slowly begins to remember who she was, and questions her actions. Carter seizes this opportunity to pursue the relationship he wants, and hopes Eve feels the same. Another stellar installment in the Secret Series!

Loved it.Carter, Mitch and Eve have been friends forever. Secretly though Eve has fancied Carter and vice versa. These situations normally don't work out. A trauma to Eve leaves her without any memory and Carter, at his chance, takes advantage. Will it work out, or will Eve regain her memory and it all fall apart again?

Fab story in the series, looking forward to the next book!

What would you do if you had a do-over for love? Eve knows her best friend Carter has feelings for her just like she does for him. For Eve and Carter, it takes a nasty case of amnesia to clear the way! Jill Sanders has written a quick paced, suspenseful story about the hidden mind and how it works to bring out the best of of person.
