“Trying to drool discreetly, I offered my hand. “Lovely to meet you, Mr. Leroux.” There, I remembered my manners. Full make-up and manners, my mother would be beyond proud.”
“Oh bite me, fang boy,”
“You are vibrant, honest, and real. You hold nothing back. That’s what I want from you. In my life, too many things must be held back or left unsaid. I’m disgusted with it. You are what life is made of and I want to feel alive again.”
"He was beautiful, beyond beautiful. His hair was dark and long, almost to his shoulders. The bones of his face looked as though they had been sculpted by a master. His high cheekbones and strong jawline should have been considered works of art. However, it was his eyes, those piercing blue eyes that I couldn't look away from. I felt pinned."
"It was the gorgeous stranger I had noticed earlier. He looked feral and dangerous and, if it was possible, sexier than before."
"Then why did I just kiss you? I would never do something like that without being coerced."...
"I believe it's called chemistry, not coercion."...
He wrapped an arm around my lower back and my hips connected with his. I felt what had to be a vampire penis poking me in the belly. Oh hell, no way was I playing sink the salami with a creature that would sink fangs into me too.
"I dreamed about bright blue eyes and a beautiful vampire who held me as though I was made of glass."
"You make me feel human for the first time in a long time"
(See the scene in it's entirety the way it really happened {with goats!} here)
"Put your hands behind your head, bend your knees and spread your legs."
Even though we had been lovers for a couple of weeks, I hesitated.
"Do it now, Donna"
I brought my other hand behind my head and laced my fingers together. I bent my knees and moved my feet apart.
"Wider," Conner growled.

I read Bite Me in one day. It was a quick, fun romp into the paranormal and had everything I love in a book. Sex, fun friends, romance, alpha guy, banter and some danger. It was such a pleasure to read something different for a change. The books I have been reading lately, as much as I loved them all, were starting to mix together in my head with a lot of similar themes. Bite Me stood alone like a unique breath of fresh air. I read the whole thing smiling to myself, and the epilogue has me drooling for the next in the series, Ivie's book. I'm gonna love that one.
