This is like a very simple math equation:
Lisa Renee Jones (the author) + Blake Walker (the hero) = I really liked this installment, hence the four star rating.

This is the last book is the Tall, Dark and Deadly series. The previous book came out as separate books but book 3 is being broken up into parts like a serial. I'm not a fan of this and would rather read it as a whole book but non the less I am still reading this. I have read the other books and part 1 so i want to finish it but also i have loved this series. One of my favorite series by this author. Part 2 gives you another small piece of the story and takes about 45 minutes to read. Blake is trying to decide if Kara is the enemy or someone he needs to help and protect. Kara has some big secrets and she's not telling. Not the Blake isn't giving it his all to find out. Kara has the same problem as Blake though. She's trying to decide if Blake is a bad guy or a good guy. By the end of this part of the serial though the gig appears to be up for Kara. You'll have to wait til part 3 to find out though. The writing is awesome. I love the characters but i don't like it broken down into parts. You barely get started and it's over. If i rate it based on the writing i could give it 5 out of 5 stars, but if i rate it based on the amount i get to read for each part I would have to lower it. To what i'm not sure. It's frustrating. Do you like serials? If yes how long do you think each part should be? I don't mine them but i think it should be long enough to get somewhere and should be a serial from the beginning and that is my problem here. I'll still read the next two parts though of course. lol

Fantastic continuation
This is part 2 of the story and I was not disappointed, the suspense is ongoing and palpable. I found the interaction between the two main characters captivating. Hearing what they are thinking about each other gives us insight into their depths and the banter between them was wonderful. I love Blake who can’t keep his protectiveness at bay and I love Kara trying to figure out if Blake is good or not. There is much inner turmoil for them both which this reader finds fascinating. They are both determined to not give in to each other despite their attraction which isn’t waning but getting steamier. The ending of this part is perfect and frustrating, leaving you asking “What does he know?” That we will find out in part 3 which I am looking forward to!

Oh man I can't enough of Blake!! He's a sexy, tortured soul still looking to avenge his lost love!! The tension between Kara and him is so high! The stakes are higher as the story progresses- Blake and Kara are feeling way much more than lust, yet they still can't trust each other. The danger is also on the rise in this installment!! I cannot wait to see what's in store for Blake and Kara!

Loved this installment of Blake's book! Ended on a cliffhangar again that I'll have to wait til the end of April (unless it's released early like this installment was!) to see how it turns out, I'm hoping knowing the truth about Kara that maybe Blake will trust her enough to tell her his truth as well! The chemistry between them is such that he cannot keep lying to himself that it's just sex cause it is obviously so much more whether he likes it or not.
Kara could be very good for him and bring him out of the freefall he's been in since his fiance Whitney's murder. I'm also wondering how long before his two sexy older brothers make an appearance, whether it will be in the next installment or the last one, I hope he does reach out to them eventually rather then continuing to hide what he's doing from them. It could make all the difference between him and Kara surviving or him losing her like he did Whitney.
At least he has Kyle with him on this, I'm pretty sure that if it gets too dangerous Kyle will risk Blake's wrath and call his brothers before he see's Blake get himself killed!

4.5, which is not quite 5 and only because it wasn't long enough AND it ends with a cliffhanger (the nerve!). Now I have to wait until April to find out who Kara really is?
I love that series! What's not too love about the Walker brothers, especially Blake. And, it's written by Lisa Renee Jones, so you know you're getting quality writing. I love the chemistry between Blake and Kara and the sex scenes are simply amazing. I love everything about this series - it's a bit funny, it's hot and sexy as hell, there is always a good storyline (there's always an edge to them) and I like that her female characters are strong and not all needy and wimpy - because that simply wound not work in books such as these.

Part 2 of "Beneath the Secrets" is excellent and worthy of 5 stars so why fir I only give this book 4 stars? Well, because this book was ridiculously short! I was expecting the same length book as part 1 and thus was roughly 25% of the length. Just as things we beginning to get good, ham, its over. I wish authors would not write such shirt installments. They feel like one or two chapters of a book and make me feel as though I am getting ripped off.
Now part 3 will not be out until April and it will probably be just as short. I think I will wait until parts 3 and 4 are done and included on a complete book before proceeding further. I don't want to be frustrated any more then I sm already.

If I want a series that gave me 40-50 pages a shot and then told me to pay more to find out what happens next and I end up spending more then for one book, I would read it for free on wattpad! I love the story line but these little chunks are ridiculous and insulting to the reader. Write the whole thing then publish it. I will buy the next because I want to see what will happen, but I am so going to think about ever buying from this author again! And that is too bad because her stories are sooo good!

I love the Tall, Dark & Deadly series! And this is another great addition -- it has what we've come to expect from Ms. Jones: great characters, an interesting and suspenseful storyline and of course, lots of steamy sex scenes! I didn't think it was possible for the chemistry to get any hotter, but oh boy, does it! Cannot wait for the next installment of this sexy & suspenseful series!

Book 2 of Beneath the Secrets was as good as the 1st. More twists and turns - the story is really hotting up!!
Love the heat & sexual attraction between Blake & Kara.. but will they be able to trust each other?

I am not writing a full review on the Beneath the Secrets books until all four parts have been released. Each book is about the size of a small novella and should have just been released as a whole novel. That is the reason this is getting four stars rather than five. As in the 1st book of this series, you get pulled in by Blake and Kara's chemistry.. The Love scenes and the Danger that Lurks behind them get a hold and don't let go.. My only Problem with it is it leaves u hanging for part 3.. So Hoping Lisa Renee Jones hurries with that book and the next one if she is continuing the series...

This was an awesome read that I could not put down. It moved along at a great pace, had interesting characters and a fantastic story that keeps you interested from beginning to end.

Blake and Kara are at it again and yes he saves her from the clif hanger of part 1. Now the mystery is, who is Kara? Blake has the answer but of course we have to wait for part 3. OMG, the suspense is killing me. Wonderful read though.

I read the entire Beneath the Secrets box set. It is the story of Blake and Kara. I really did enjoy this Tall, Dark and Deadly series. The Walker brothers are GREAT! The Blake and Kara story had them coming together against a drug cartel - the mystery/suspense and romance is great.
